During the 4th episode of Tales of the Jedi, titled Sith Lord, we arrive at the moment where Qui-Gon's funeral is about to commence. During this funeral, we didn't see Count Dooku at all. Which is weird, considering he was Qui-Gon's master and the closest to him. In this episode we finally get the proper canon answer as to why Dooku didn't go and what I think would have happened, if he had. Yaddle tells Dooku that the funeral is to be held on Naboo soon. Dooku says he doubts he'll be pleasant company and she asks if he holds the council accountable. Dooku turns to look at her and callously says Qui-Gon has become one with the force, it's time to let him go. So, from this we know two things. Dooku blames the council for Qui-Gon's death, but more importantly, him not being there says a lot about what would have happened. Dooku would have probably tried to fight all of them, mainly Mace Windu and Yoda. I don't think it would have ended well for him against Yoda, but with him tapping into the dark side, I believe he would have stood a fair chance against all the other Jedi. Dooku was always such an underrated Jedi, and I feel this show really helps fans understand why he turned to the dark side. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Join hosts David Cochran and Caleb Culver as we dive into all six episodes of the Disney+ series, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi!We break down each arc individually, beginning with the three-episode arc of Count Dooku and his fall away from the Jedi Order. We go into his interactions with a young Qui Gon Jinn and Mace Windu, along with his reasonings and beliefs being pretty understandable. Then we dive into Ahsoka's arc, mainly dealing with the same situation of falling away from the Jedi Order. We discuss the effects of Anakin Skywalkers' training and how it helped her survive Order 66, along with the origin story of her white kyber crystals.
What a week it has been to be a nerd!!!This week we were spoiled rotten with News like James Gunn being hired as Co-CEO of DC films, and Disney telling Lucasfilm exec Kathleen Kennedy to stop announcing new projects. We also got a trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantaummania and...Well... We still aren't sure how we feel about Marvel Trailers..And finally, Tales of The Jedi Dropped and hot damn this is our jam!! We breakdown everything we LOVED about this amazing series of shorts! So sit back, relax and join Brooksy, Corey and Tanner in this weeks episode of Dorkside Nexus
I am starting to think it isn't just a phase!!!Today Corey, Mike and Doug got together to talk about phase 2 of the MCU. How do we feel about, arguably, the best MCU movie to date? Did we all hate the same movie in this list? Or did one of us think it was..."okay"? Did Cap freak out when he watched Star Wars and saw Mace Windu? Find the answers to most of these questions on this new episode!

Season 7 of the Clone Wars only has three arcs, and we finished up the second by recapping 7.3–4, “On the Wings of Keeradaks” and “Unfinished Business.” The second half of the Bad Batch arc isn't nearly as much fun as the first. Echo has to regain the trust of everyone around him (and find trust in himself). Rex has to carry his guilt over leaving a man behind. And Anakin has to face the fact that he no longer considers himself a Jedi. So, this arc is less fun, but no less worthy. We laugh a LOT about Wat Tambor, Mace Windu and the TechnoUnion being full of nerds. Next week, we'll start the final arc of S7: the Siege of Mandalore, Part 1 (“Old Friends Not Forgotten” and “The Phantom Apprentice”). Then we're returning to Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and Episode 2: Attack of the Clones! We'll review those in single episodes, and then finish up the final arc of S7. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/growingupskywalker/message
Tales of the Jedi streams on Disney Plus October 26th and I couldn't be more exited for this animated show. Coming from the makers of The Bad Batch and The Clone Wars Season 7, this show will encompass two characters primarily, Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku in different pivotal moments of their life. We'll also see more of Yoda, Yaddle, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn and Ahsoka's continuance after Revenge of the Sith as she fights a new Inquisitor and purifies his Kyber Crystals to make her own White Blades. Obi-Wan Kenobi makes his report to the Jedi Council, Padmé makes a risky decision, and Count Dooku makes his case to Obi-Wan. Tom Gross from Teachers in the Dungeon joins us for this episode. In this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss: Tom's memories of seeing Attack of the Clones and his favorite character, Anakin and Padmé's discussion after Anakin returns with Shmi's body, Obi-Wan Kenobi's message to the Jedi Council and Mace Windu's instructions to Anakin, Padmé's decision to rescue Obi-Wan, and Count Dooku's attempt to recruit Obi-Wan Kenobi. Bree is joined by her pal Mike Stephens (@bymikestephens) build a better Star Wars universe starring David Cross, Jennifer Coolidge and more – which might be better than everything we've gotten from this series from 1999 on. We discuss what's gone wrong, if the sequel trilogy was really that good, how underused Mace Windu was, moral ambiguity, lack of tension in the TV series and, of course, toys. Get ready for some nerdy talkin', some belching and some unhinged begging for Disney to tell a new story.
In the glorious Disappeared Arc of the Clone Wars, Jar Jar gets to be a love interest…the hero of the galaxy…and the one who gets the girl. Oh, Mace Windu is there, too. The Disappeared Arc (The Clone Wars 6.8–9, “The Disappeared, Part One” and “The Disappeared, Part Two”) introduces us to the Dagoyan Masters of Bardotta, ancient mystics who are estranged from the Jedi Order. But their mystics are disappearing one by one, and it's up to the unlikely dream team of Jar Jar Binks and Mace Windu to save them — and the galaxy. If you did not already know, this podcast is a #1 foam finger Jar Jar Binks fan club. Even without him, this arc would be FAN-TASTIC. It gives us demon cultists who wear terrifying masks and backhand people down stone slip-and-slides, an ancient prophecy foretelling the rise of darkness across the galaxy, deeper discussions on the living Force, and a scene where Jar Jar and Mace Windu have to rent space-camels to go charging across the desert to save Jar Jar's one true love. I don't know what more you could want!! Next week, we're covering a one-off episode: “The Lost One” ( The Clone Wars 6.10). Then we're onto the final arc of Season 6: Yoda's Journey (6.11–13, “Voices,” “Destiny,” and “Sacrifice”). --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/growingupskywalker/message

Star Wars is loving telling their stories on Disney+ or how tv. The question we ask today is, what character do we think will most likely someday lead a future television/Disney+ Star Wars Show? And in a similar vein, what is the one character driven show we wish we could get, our dream one, but will likely never happen? Today we discuss and have a great time doing it, who will we pick? Well I'll give you some hints on some names thrown around, Doctor Aphra, Mace Windu, Qi'ra, Opeepit? We also talk a bit about Taika Waititi, Game of Thrones, Marvel and Lord of the Rings. These actually do relate to what we're discussing, but also would we be us if were 100% on topic? We think not. Jawa Chatter Podcast & Socials:
Who's your favorite Jedi? In this episode, Eric and Haley make their cases for two very different characters — one young and irreverent, one experienced and solemn. What can Ezra Bridger teach us about the Jedi quest for selflessness amid the temptations of family, home, and power? And how much was Mace Windu to blame for the success of Darth Sidious' plan to corrupt Anakin Skywalker? From Loth-wolves to Sith holocrons to dangerous lightsaber fighting styles, the stories of Ezra and Mace are full of complex, fascinating dilemmas about Jedi identity and purpose, and in this episode, we dive into how they tackle those challenges. Plus: What might be next for Ezra? And if Mace is somehow still alive, what should be next for him?

When a young Luke Skywalker first asked Ben Kenobi if he "fought in the Clone Wars," in 1977 - it was as if a million young minds suddenly cried out. What the hell was the Clone Wars?! It sounded amazing! As fans we would have to wait until 2002 for Grand Jedi Master Yoda to let us know that "begun the Clone Wars has," however we still wouldn't see just how Obi-Wan and Anakin fought in these Clone Wars. Our very first taste would not be until November of 2003 and thanks to Cartoon Network and Genndy Tartakovsky. The 4-time Emmy winning series gave so many Star Wars fans joy in the void of another movie. Additionally it introduced iconic characters like Asajj Ventress, Durge, and General Grievous. Additionally it showcased some truly iconic moments such as Anakin holding a red lightsaber, Mace Windu in a full show of power, C-3PO addressing his gold plating, and Anakin being knighted. Tonight we take you into Star Wars: Clone Wars now on Disney+ and pre-dating the popular 2008 series! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jafnpodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jafnpodcast/support

Anakin Skyalker had some of the coolest ships and Jedi Starfighters. Here's a list that we've seen in the novels, comics, movies, The Clone Wars (both 2D and 3D versions). Something I found cool was that Jedi Master Saesee Tin encouraged him to keep upgrading and modifying the ships, while other Masters (probably even Mace Windu) saw this as a sign of attachment to his ships. In Revenge of the Sith we got the biggest turning point in the Star Wars universe, Order 66, where Anakin cut off Mace Windu's hand and Sidious threw him out the window. It was after this that Anakin was dubbed as Darth Vader. The entire conversation from the novel is quite different from what we got in the film. Let's jump into this fascinating subject! There is a new celebrity competition show that has caught Sarah's interest, Stephanie Beatriz was in labor when she recorded her ‘Encanto' song ‘Waiting on a Miracle', Samuel L. Jackson wants to play his "Star Wars" character Mace Windu again, five animated shows based on Dr. Seuss books are headed to Netflix, a clever way to dumb someone with coupon books, the number that all men love, and Porsche and Pixar Will Turn Sally Carrera into a real street-legal car!
Samuel L. Jackson has recently expressed interest in returning as Mace Windu in The Mandalorian. I would love to see Mace, I just wouldn't understand how he'd stay silent for so long while Vader and the Emperor thrive. They'd have to explain how he stayed hidden, and WHY he stayed hidden for so long. He doesn't seem like the type to go quietly. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
