Crack House Chronicles

In this episode of the Crack House Chronicles Donnie and Dale speak with two members of Crime Stoppers of Cleveland County NC, Jeff Yates and Sgt. Brad Benson.  Cleveland County Crimestoppers is a non-profit organization that helps law enforcement obtain needed information for the investigation of crime.  Crimestoppers is an independent board that works with law enforcement in gathering information and giving rewards for the information provided.  The system for gathering this information keeps the caller completely anonymous and unknown to both the board and law enforcement.  Cleveland County Crimestoppers provides information to all Cleveland County law enforcement agencies.  Sergeant Brad Benson at the Shelby Police Department is responsible for gathering and distributing all tip information to the appropriate agencies and to provide information to the local board as the law enforcement coordinator for the board.  The board meets monthly to discuss business and make recommendations or approve tips for the previous month.  Crimestoppers play an important role in gathering needed information to extend cases for further investigation.  All law enforcement agencies within Cleveland County are fortunate to have a local board that is willing to make an effort to reduce crime in our area.   By scanning the QR Code below, a person is taken to the anonymous tip information page that will allow information, photos, and videos about a case to be uploaded to the police for their investigation. If the information helps solve a crime, the tipster may collect reward money paid by Crime Stoppers - all anonymously!  We pay up to $1000 for such information dependent on the severity of the crime. A person may also call the anonymous Tip Line 704-481-8477 to provide information.  As a non-profit organization, Crime Stoppers is reliant entirely on donations to fund reward money to tipsters who provide information that leads to an arrest.  If you would like to donate, click here. If you would like to become a Board Member, or simply have questions, please email us at  stoppers.c@yahoo.com. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
