Sean Combs, known to many as Puffy or P Diddy, remains at the center of one of the music industry's most dramatic legal sagas. This week, the hip hop mogul's latest attempt to secure bail was denied yet again by a federal judge, rejecting a $50 million bond offer with strict travel and security restrictions. The judge cited the seriousness of the prostitution-related conviction and evidence of violence, coercion, and subjugation as reasons for keeping Combs behind bars awaiting sentencing. Combs has been incarcerated since his September 2024 arrest. The conviction stems from charges that he forced and manipulated two ex-girlfriends into drug-fueled sex acts involving male sex workers while he filmed them. While he was acquitted of the most severe charges like racketeering and sex trafficking, his current conviction could carry up to ten years in prison. Prosecutors and his legal team remain divided on sentencing guidelines, so the final outcome rests with the presiding judge, who has wide discretion according to AOL News.Meanwhile, new details are making headlines as prosecutors revealed in a superseding federal indictment that Combs' alleged abuse and exploitation spanned two decades. The court documents allege violent episodes, such as dangling a victim over a balcony and threatening multiple women to coerce their participation in so-called “freak-offs”—acts often filmed and reportedly involving drugs. Prosecutors believe Combs used his wealth and power to control his victims, providing financial support and career opportunities and then threatening to withdraw them as punishment for resistance. Federal agents raided his Miami and Beverly Hills homes this spring seizing evidence that included thousands of bottles of baby oil and various drugs. More than 30 civil lawsuits have been filed and fresh criminal accusations keep emerging—from claims of sexual assault of minors to allegations of facilitating sex trafficking, as reported by the New York Daily News and other sources. On the business front, Combs made waves not long ago by regaining full ownership of his iconic Sean John fashion label. After a protracted legal battle and bankruptcy auction, he bought back the brand for $7.5 million, expressing a renewed desire to reshape its legacy and influence in hip hop fashion, as covered by Billboard and Ebony.Amid these mounting cases, Combs faced another courtroom defeat, as a judge dismissed a high-profile assault claim by former Da Band member Sara Rivers, citing statutory time limits. Rivers plans to appeal, hoping for a chance to revive her claims, but for now, Combs' legal troubles—both civil and criminal—show no signs of letting up, according to HOT 97.Thanks for tuning in to the latest updates on Sean Combs. Let's Talk About Love, Sex & Infidelity

One of the most painful questions I get asked: "Todd, how do I forgive my partner after they cheated on me?" It feels like a monumental task when you've been so hurt, so tossed around, so dishonored by your partner's secrets. Here's what I want you to know right up front - you don't have to forgive. That's totally up to you. But if you can, it makes you feel better because forgiveness is really about the person forgiving, not the person being forgiven. In this episode, I walk you through the two different paths of forgiveness after infidelity: when you stay with your partner and when you don't. Each path looks different, but both require you to feel the pain before you can let it go.In this episode, you'll hear:• Why you don't have to forgive (but why it might help you) • The two situations where forgiveness makes sense • How to forgive when you're not staying together • What it looks like when a partner is actually safe to forgive • Why infidelity is a symptom, not the core issue • How to talk to the protective part of you that doesn't want to forgive • Living in the world of probability instead of demanding certainty • Why forgiveness is a process, not a one-time eventYou can't let go of pain that you don't feel. You got to feel first. It's like a tight fist and then you just let it go. Maybe you do that a thousand times, but you start to enjoy the feeling of being open again.Whether you stay or go, I want you to give yourself permission to soften the wall, loosen the ties, and be open to have the love you deserve. Harry McGee and Cormac McQuinn join Hugh Linehan to look back on the week in politics: · The assassination of the conservative activist and influencer Charlie Kirk on stage at a college campus in Utah on Wednesday is the latest chapter in America's increasingly toxic political climate. A Donald Trump loyalist, Kirk was instrumental in mobilising younger voters during last year's US presidential race. Unfortunately, the threat of violence is present in Irish politics too, with Tánaiste Simon Harris outspoken on the intimidation and bomb threats directed at him and his family.· The urgency with which aspiring independent presidential candidates have sought support is ramping up, with ten Oireachtas members now said to have given commitments to conservative campaigner Maria Steen to nominate her to enter the presidential election. Council nominations are also a viable route for independents but one that is narrowing all the time.· And EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen's proposal to suspend parts of EU-Israel trade deal could be seen as a significant shift towards the stance Ireland and others have taken as the slaughter in Gaza continues. Plus, the panel picks their favourite Irish Times pieces of the week:· Javier Milei's right-wing ‘chainsaw revolution' in Argentina, Ireland's shambolic display against Armenia as their World Cup dream dies, and yet another new prime minister as France's political crisis deepens. In this episode infidelity expert Todd Creager discusses one of the hardest questions you're grappling with right now: How do you know when your partner who betrayed you is actually becoming safe again? You thought they were trustworthy before, and then your whole world got turned upside down. I hear this all the time from my couples - "I never thought my partner would be capable of doing that." So how do you recognize real change when you see it? This is such an important question, and I want to share with you what I've learned from working with so many inspiring couples who've walked this healing journey. Here's what you'll discover in this episode:Learn the real reasons why people cheat in the first place - it's not what most people think, and understanding this is crucial for recognizing genuine changeDiscover the specific signs that show your partner is learning to regulate their emotions in healthier ways and why this is the key to lasting transformationUnderstand how true healing looks when your partner starts opening their heart to you more and learning to depend on you in healthy waysFind out why real safety comes when your partner learns to be both uplifted and soothed by YOU instead of seeking that regulation elsewhereGet the concrete behaviors to watch for that indicate your relationship dynamics are genuinely shifting toward deeper connection and trustTodd has seen it happen many times - people who betrayed learning to regulate differently, opening up more, and truly enjoying their partner in ways they never did before. There's no 100% guarantee in life, but there comes a point where there's a very high probability that person will not cheat again. Todd wants to help you recognize what that looks like so you can make the world safer for love. How do the antagonistic forces in your story escalate distinctly from the protagonists' journey? We often struggle to develop the middle stages of a story. Could this be because we focus  on our protagonists' journeys and plot structure more than on how the antagonistic powers are awakened, wronged, discovered, gathering strength and revealing themselves? In this episode, Chas and Stu are joined by professional screenwriter and playwright Kim Ho to explore how a generative story cycle (from tabletop role-playing game MOTHERSHIP) can be used to develop stories, not just write them better. This cycle is TOMBS: Transgression - Omens - Manifestation - Banishment - Slumber. Kim also contrasts this cycle with the Onset, Discovery, Confirmation, Confrontation cycle identified by horror philosopher Noel Carroll, as well as the philosophy of the FINAL DESTINATION franchise as analysed by The Morbid Zoo. By applying the TOMBS cycle to Ryan Coogler's amazing 2025 original feature SINNERS, we discover how focusing on the rising power of the various sources of antagonism can generate narrative fuel (and make your second Act sing); force your protagonists to Survive, Solve or Save (pick one); and how this escalation in antagonism can be mapped quite separately from your protagonists' character arcs.  To prove that TOMBS does not just work for horror stories, we polled our patreons for which other genres to explore. Stay turned for our next episode where we apply the TOMBS cycle to thriller REBEL RIDGE and comedy classic MEET THE PARENTS. Donald Trump is escalating his threat to deploy the National Guard in Democrat-run cities. He's doing it under the guise of cracking down on crime, beginning with Washington DC. New York City, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Chicago were among the cities singled out. The US President called Chicago a “mess”, and derided its mayor, Brandon Johnson, as “grossly incompetent”. The Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker, is hitting back at Trump, saying it's not about fighting crime but rather finding an excuse to deploy the military and intimidate his political rivals. US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that in the past, the National Guard has been temporarily deployed by state governors only, not the federal government, so this is all new. Todd's sharing a conversation that could completely change how you think about betrayal and recovery. He recently interviewed Lora Cheadle, a betrayal recovery coach and attorney who discovered her husband's 15-year affair. What drew him to Lora is that she speaks from a deeper place about infidelity—challenging the rigid ideas that keep people stuck rather than helping them heal. Here's what we explore together:Why betrayal uncovers hidden truths about how we've been "performing" in life instead of expressing our authentic selves—and why this awareness is crucial for genuine healingThe game-changing shift from asking "Why did this happen to me?" to "What is this here to awaken in me?"—this single question can transform your entire recovery journeyWhy infidelity was never about you but rather your partner's maladaptive coping mechanism, and how understanding this frees you from false responsibility and shameThe difference between being victimized (which absolutely happened) and staying stuck in the victim role—plus how to write a completely different narrative for your lifeHow betrayal can break generational patterns and help you become truly "self-possessed" instead of seeking external validationLora and I are very like-minded in our approach. We're not minimizing the real pain of betrayal—Lora herself was on the floor sobbing for weeks. But we're showing you there's a path through this that leads to genuine empowerment and self-discovery.As Lora powerfully shared: "You were victimized—that's a fact. But being a victim is a role, and you can play that role until you're 80 years old. I get one life to live here, and I'm living it from an empowered place."If you're struggling with infidelity or know someone who is, this episode offers a compassionate, no-shame approach to healing that integrates mind, body, and spirit.Connect with Lora Cheadle:  Website: https://loracheadle.com/ Free Resource: https://lorachead Check out my complete program "From Bickering & Escalating to Connecting & Loving" for more in-depth guidance: https://www.toddcreagertraining.com/loving-connecting-masterclass If this episode resonates with you, please share it with someone who could benefit and leave a review. Wildfires are intensifying across California and the western United States, fueled by extreme heat, dry fuels and gusty winds pushing several into megafire territory. California is also facing 14 other active fires across the state, including the Gifford Fire raging in the Los Padres National Forest. The Gifford Fire has grown to over 104,000 acres and is 21% contained, as of Saturday morning according to CalFire. Farther east in Arizona, the Dragon Bravo Fire along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon has scorched nearly 135,000 acres since a lightning strike ignited it on July 4. It is the largest wildfire blazing in the lower 48 states and is 36% contained as of Saturday morning. Dozens of fires are active in Nevada, Utah and Arizona. In other news, three people were airlifted from Antarctica in a high-risk rescue mission this week, after medical emergencies at a remote U.S. research base required urgent evacuation through some of the harshest flying conditions on the planet. The mission, conducted by the Royal New Zealand Air Force, involved a non-stop round trip of nearly 20 hours through total darkness, subzero temperatures and highly volatile weather. His free, widely shared designs have reached over 50 million people and are being built around the world. Whether you're an artist, entrepreneur, or just trying to figure out what's next, this conversation will challenge you to rethink your relationship with risk, money, and mastery. Some highlights we explore: “Scaling is just repeating. Escalating is growing.” The mindset shift that changed Ben's career. There's a new position in the U.S. government: Federal chief artificial intelligence officer. Gregory Barbaccia has begun to refer to himself as the Federal CAIO, in addition to his current role as the federal government's chief information officer. A recent interview with CNBC referred to him this way and a federal official focused on AI confirmed to FedScoop that Barbaccia had used that title in a recent meeting. In a social media post last week, Barbaccia also used both titles. The new title comes amid the Trump administration's continued focus on federal adoption of artificial intelligence. It follows the White House AI Action Plan, which was released last week and endorsed “transformative use of AI [that] can help deliver the highly responsive government the American people expect and deserve.” Still, the AI Action Plan makes no mention of a new position of CAIO for the whole federal government. Neither does the executive order that established the council or subsequent Office of Management and Budget actions. There was no federal CAIO in the Biden administration, and it's not clear any formal action has been taken to establish the position. Federal agencies are increasingly turning to generative artificial intelligence to further their missions, according to a new watchdog report that found use cases of the emerging technology jumping by ninefold in a selection of nearly a dozen agencies last year. In a report published Tuesday, the Government Accountability Office said generative AI use cases across a group of 11 federal agencies increased from 32 to 282 cases from 2023 to 2024, per an analysis of those agencies' inventories. The GAO laid out several ways these agencies harnessed generative AI last year, stating the technology can “improve written communications, information access efficiency, and program status tracking.” Examples included the Department of Veterans Affairs using automation for medical imaging processing in veterans' diagnostic services, along with the Department of Health and Human Services' initiative to extract information from publications regarding the containment of the poliovirus. HHS reported the largest jump out of the 11 agencies, going from seven generative AI use cases in 2023 to 116 in 2024, according to the report. In this podcast interview, Martin Armstrong provides a critical geopolitical analysis of current global tensions, focusing on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and potential escalation towards World War III. Armstrong argues that the 50-day deadline imposed by Trump is an unrealistic negotiation tactic that fundamentally misunderstands geopolitical dynamics. Armstrong suggests that Ukraine is on the verge of collapse and that NATO's interventionist strategies are deliberately provocative. He criticizes neoconservative influences, particularly figures like Lindsey Graham and John McCain, for consistently pushing for military confrontation without understanding the long-term consequences. He highlights how these interventions have historically failed, citing examples from Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The discussion emphasizes the economic implications of ongoing tensions, with Armstrong predicting a steep recession lasting until 2028. He argues that sanctions against Russia have accelerated the formation of BRICS and are driving countries to seek alternative economic arrangements. The movement of gold and capital away from traditional Western financial centers is seen as a significant indicator of these shifts. Armstrong is particularly critical of European leadership, describing them as the "worst crop of world leaders" in history. He points out the economic challenges facing Germany and the broader European Union, including capital controls and increasing governmental restrictions on financial movements. Regarding potential conflict, Armstrong warns that Putin is unlikely to capitulate and that the current strategies risk escalating into a broader global confrontation. He suggests that the financial capital of the world will likely move to China after 2032, drawing parallels with the historical decline of Athens due to internal polarization and continuous warfare. The interview concludes with a stark warning about the potential for significant geopolitical and economic disruption, with Armstrong emphasizing that the current trajectory benefits no one and risks triggering a catastrophic global conflict.
