Manuj Aggarwal and Dr. Kevin Orieux discuss how disengagement is a social disease we can cure by taking care of our businesses. What are you waiting for? Tune In Now! In this episode, we will learn about: · What disengagement is· Why disengagement is a social disease and not only an economic problem· Bringing recognition, appreciation, and promotion in your organization· Typical mistakes entrepreneurs make· Launching a business on their own· Taking care of your workers, clients, and providers· Learning and unlearning to succeed· How to achieve synergy About Dr. Kevin Orieux Dr. Kevin Orieux (or "DocKO" as he is more affectionately known by his clients and coworkers) studied psychology and sociology at the undergrad level before achieving his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in 1989. By combining the medical sciences with the social sciences, Dr. Orieux founded Aararat Consulting as an adjunct to his private practice clinical responsibilities in 1995. With this unique ability to operate on both sides of the scientific spectrum, Dr. Orieux has been asked to serve in numerous leadership roles in the private sector as well as leadership roles in education and healthcare at both the national and international levels. One of the biggest and certainly the most expensive problem facing business leaders and white-collared professionals, whether they be in IT, healthcare, engineering, or some form of the direct-to-client service industry, is how to defeat disengagement in the workforce. The more Dr. Orieux focused the resources of Aararat Consulting on this question the more this question became the central focus of Aararat Consulting's "raison d'etre" because this research demonstrated that what is commonly referred to as "disengagement" in the corporate world is what medicine would call an "epidemic" that has more socio-economic influence in today's global community than politics, fiscal policy, and technology combined. It's not every day that we have a serial entrepreneur on the show. It's also not every day that we have an NY Times best-selling author on the show. It's especially not every day that you have both of these things all wrapped up into one individual, but, today isn't like most days. We're indeed joined this week on #thePawdcast by the absolutely incredible, motivating and hard-working Kevin Kruse. We discuss all things about Kevin's story of becoming an entrepreneur (hint, it deals with a one-armed man looking for money), Kevin's journey to become a millionaire, how Kevin changes his passion for making money, into a purpose of giving value to others, the five companies that Kevin created, the few that he ended up selling, his path to becoming an author, how to become more productive, and yes, his famous story about talking to Mark Cuban. This episode is jammed-pack with value, great tidbits and awesome story-telling that surely anyone in #Pawdcast nation is going to love. Let's hit it.
