Have you ever wondered what it takes to truly thrive in your long-term partnership while maintaining your individuality and personal power? In this week's podcast episode—Part 2 of my 3-part series on the Creatrix Method—we're diving into the second pillar: Embracing Erotic Intelligence. The most fulfilling, long-term partnerships aren't about fusing into one identity—they're about finding the balance between togetherness and separateness. It's about showing up with your own essence, thought leadership, and clarity, so that when you connect with your partner, you're bringing your full self to the table. Here's what I cover in this episode:

As has happened quite often in the past 10 years or so, my curation of private showcase rooms at the Folk Alliance International Conference has yielded connections that provide continuing collaborations and opportunities for engagement.  Case in point… Chrislyn Lawrence and Mike “Mac” McClure also now known as the musical duo “Crow and Gazelle.”  Booking the duo at the 2002 Conference and subsequently for other listening room series in the Heartland has brought another welcome addition to my so called “Americana/Roots Music” family.  Mike McClure made his name as one of the founders of the Oklahoma Red Dirt Music Scene and producer of such Tasty  Brew Music favorites as the Turnpike Troubadours and Cross Canadian Ragweed.  Chrislyn, worked behind the scenes of that music world in supporting roles, including as a booking agent.  Circumstances kept them from pursuing a connection when they first met in 2003, but fate intervened and they've been professionally and personally a team since 2018. Their mission is to deconstruct the idea of separateness… that we humans are not separate from divinity… we are holy, everything and infinite. Enjoy this on air conversation with Crow and Gazelle in support of a Heartland appearance for the Green Guitar Folk House Listening Room Series.

Though we are wired for connection, we're also separate human beings.  How we navigate these two realities can make all the difference in the quality of our relationships and our lives.  Our relationships can be with the family we grew up in, our friendships, romantic relationships, partnerships, marriage and the families we create. In this newsletter, using Murray Bowen, MD's Family Systems Theory, I'll discuss:* The tension that exists in couples and families because of the need to be together, but also to be separate.* What being out of balance can look like in a “system.”* What this can look like for us individually.* How we can move towards more balance in our relationships. We don't need to be in a relationship to be impacted by these forces.  We all carry within us expectations of togetherness and separateness from the families we grew up in.  Our parents carried their own norms based on their families of origin. Through our repeated experiences, our neuronal pathways are reinforced. They can impact how comforting or threatening togetherness feels and how comforting or threatening separateness feels. To receive the newsletter (text and audio) in your mailbox each week, subscribe at: https://www.courtneysnydermd.com or on Substack:Medical Disclaimer:This newsletter is for educational purposes and not intended or implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment for either yourself or others, including but not limited to patients that you are treating (if you are a practitioner). “We're all part of one family and one nation, which is the planet. The human condition is our family.” - Eddy Khawaja This is a special episode of Real Talk. As a Palestinian-American, I've been experiencing my own struggle with the pain, suffering, and horror happening in my family's ancestral homeland. It's been hard to go on with the day-to-day, knowing that children and civilians are being killed and terrorized as we look on. Many people are losing hope and faith. I turned to a fellow advocate for humanity.  I spoke with Eddy Khawaja, who was born and raised in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and has since lived all over the world. With a background in forensic chemistry and criminal justice, Eddy has worked for the United States Department of Homeland Security and is now a Chief Security Officer for an international aid organization in the Western Sahara. Eddy is also on a lifelong quest for spiritual enlightenment through studying religion, philosophy, and consciousness. Eddy and I had a raw conversation about humanity, life, and the meaning of it all. It was a healing, spiritual conversation about what we can do to help the world and how to center love, even in dire and catastrophic times.  In this deeply reflective and existential talk, we unpack: Separateness and oneness: Eddy debunks the myth of “us versus them” and the illusion of separation. We are all waves in the same ocean, as he says. We are all one. Love Frequency: Eddy explains that if you love something, you affirm its existence. The love frequency is the highest vibration and frequency we can hold. Tap into this vibration, especially when everything around us is dark. Injustice: Eddy talks about how even one person's suffering anywhere is unacceptable. We also talk about the lessons humanity can learn from the brave children of Gaza. Humanity: Eddy dives into empathy and the understanding that the Divine chose everyone on earth to be here. We are a timeless reflection of the Divine. Self-Love: It starts with us. Eddy tells us we must go within ourselves, get knowledge, connect with a higher source, and keep moving forward. Create and embody the energy and change that you want to see in the world.  Energy: Eddy explains how individual self-discovery and self-knowledge help elevate the collective energy. Our energy is powerful and can make changes in the world. Manifestation: Eddy discusses how we can move from despair by holding the vision of what we want the world to be. We are all Creators. Set a positive intention, meditate, and envision a best-case scenario. Trust that it's already happened. Aim for Heaven on Earth. Eddy encourages us not just to hope but to command what we want into existence through the Law of Resonance! We need love, light, and peace the most in times like these. I invite you to join us in holding that vision.  With so much love & gratitude, Grace

I will describe the difference between:Separateness versus Oneness and how to connect again, to love again... In every crisis, we feel so separate from people, God, and ourselves...We have lost our love. We feel weaker.Divided.Disconnected.This state of our mind is called "separateness".When we feel love we connect with people, to ourselves, to the environment. We feel to be "one" or "Oneness".We feel a connection to people, to nature, to God…Quote bible, Romans 8:33Neither Height nor Depth.Nor anything else in all creation. Will be able to separate us from the Love of God How to go into oneness? We love.We love what we do. We open our hearts and love people. When we focus on love, fear dissipates.Fear separates us divides us and love unites us.How to go from separateness to oneness? We all have this void in us that we want to fill with something. For instance, Obesity… to eat regardless of what to fill that void this a substitute-satisfaction that never will work positively. This is true also for success and money. But only God can make you whole. This void is like a wound in us. So the more we feel separate, so bigger our wound. So the more we feel love so more this wound heals…And a relationship with God makes you feel whole.Because we are created for relationships.Loneliness is a disease that means isolation… Isolation is the killer number one, for suicide. If we get more and more separated, everything gets worse. If we have a leak or hole in us, that means this void…We want to fill it with substitute satisfaction, and so we don't have to feel it...Then comes a storm with strong rain…So that the hole in us leaks.  We feel so much separateness, its reality was already there…Actually, we need that crisis/challenge to recognize our separateness and to open up again for love… But most people even close their hearts more than before that crisis…  A good salesman feels connected with his customer so that he can sell…Artificial smiles don't help, because they separate you from your customer… Faking never helps.Simple love what you do.If you go on stage and want the people to love you… You are wrong! You go on the stage to serve the auditorium and even to love them…The same is true for loving your friends and loving people.Everybody wants love. If you love people, then the people come to you for love.If you seek connection:You get clarity.Confidence.Courage.Love the competition and the challenges, then your fear disappears. You get better.Make a list of what you love:In your relationship. In your job.Family.And focus on that love.So that this love shines above the things that you dislike…Otherwise, you go down…Feel the pain from the things that you dislike and hate… And let it go…My Video:  How to Elevate Your Mindset? https://youtu.be/e5Lu4BKs8ewMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast3/How-to-Elevate-Your-Mindset.mp3

We will learn: How to shift your focus from external events to your personal growth. How to align your dreams and goals to higher guidance. Buddhism's path to overcoming isolation and finding connection Have you ever felt like you're the only person in a crowded room? Like you're surrounded by people, but still feel a sense of isolation? Buddhism says that thinking we're all separate is just us being delusional. This delusion is one of the "Three Poisons" that keep us stuck in a cycle of suffering, or Samsara. So, the way out is to break down that illusion and see that we're all interconnected. So, what if that lonely feeling is actually a sign? A nudge to look deeper and see how we're all connected? That's what we're diving into today: Loneliness, Love, and Human Connection, all from a Buddhist perspective. Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison, is a renowned thought leader, author, Zen teacher, and Jungian psychotherapist. Koshin co-founded the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care. How can we take care of our own marriage so we can be the best parents we can be and nurture our children's nature? What practical steps can two partners do to improve their shalom bayis? How we respectfully disagree in front of children? Why is martial harmony so important for parenting? In this informative podcast, a seasoned psychotherapist, Rabbi Dr. Dovid Lessin, delves into the significance of enhancing marital harmony, or Shalom Bayis, as a means to enhance parental effectiveness, and answers these questions and much more. This is the second episode in this series, the practical episode on Shalom Bayis. Rav Lessin emphasizes the importance of couples dedicating quality time to each other, even amidst challenges, and underscores the value of seeking positivity in one another, expressing gratitude, and maintaining a sense of connection even when physically apart. Additionally, Rav Lessin discusses the art of respectfully disagreeing in front of children, prioritizing understanding over winning, and modeling healthy conflict resolution. Empowering parents to trust their instincts regarding their children is stressed, as they possess the deepest understanding of their kids. Rav Lessin also highlights the vital role of parental self-care, recognizing that nurturing oneself enables one to be the best parent possible. Promoting bonding through playful interactions and meaningful eye contact is encouraged. Overall, this podcast offers invaluable insights from an experienced expert on how bolstering marital harmony, or Shalom Bayis, can enhance parental efficacy and create a nurturing environment for the entire family. On this episode of the Sisters in Alchemy podcast, Jenna opens up and vulnerably shares about her experience with separateness and feeling alone. This podcast illuminates the truth that themes and stories that we carry with us and reinforce throughout life show up again and again, giving us many opportunities to grow, learn, and evolve with them. This happens so that we can gain perspective and rewrite those stories in this lifetime, ultimately imparting that wisdom on our soul. You (and all of us) came here to this earth, this life, in your body, so that you could experience the pain, hardship, beauty, joy, and everything in between, to learn soul lessons that can be carried with you forever. With unabashed vulnerability, Jenna shares her experiences from the past, craving friendship so deeply yet also being terrified to experience rejection and abandonment again. And she shares how acknowledging that fear and resistance and committing to growth and healing led her to the epitome of magic and manifestation, her friendship with Crystal. And yet, even with that experience and proof that it is possible, how the themes of separateness, of loneliness, of being to much, and too little continue to show up in her life, giving her more opportunities to move through, heal, and rewrite the story for good. Hopefully this podcast can remind you that whatever you are moving through, the fear or resistance that you feel in any area of your life, you are not alone, you are supported, loved, and held, and sometimes all that fear needs from you is to be acknowledged. On this episode of the Sisters in Alchemy podcast, Jenna and Crystal go deep into reclaiming the witch. In the episode, they dive into the evolution of the word witch, including the etymology of the word witch, the current perception and understanding of a witch, and their own definitions of being a witch. Throughout history and still today there is a connection between witches and magic to evil and/or the devil. They pose questions such as, “is there one entity called the devil?”, “does power come from within or without”? Jenna and Crystal both believe (as do many others in the spiritual space) that the power we hold as witches comes from within and we have access to connecting to outside powers as well, good or evil. It is within our intention that we choose to connect to light, to use the light, and to share that with the world. And in reality, the power that we believe is coming from outside of us, is actually an illusion, the separateness and is an illusion, as we are one with all humans, nature, and divinity. The fear that is instilled in us to fear magic, witches, and witchcraft only further reinforce that separateness, continuing to take power and sovereignty away from us all. The goal of this episode is to encourage you to create your own definition of the word witch based on what feels good to you. And remember, you are a witch based on who you are, not on what you do. Witches come in all shapes, sizes, genders, colors, and expressions. It's time to let your witch flag fly loves. It's time for us all. Some resources and previous episodes mentioned in this episode are linked here so that you can explore them further if you desire:Ep. 5 - History of the WitchWhere does the Word Witch Come From? - The Sacred Willow Waking the Witch - Book by Pam GrossmanIf you resonated with this episode and desire to connect with them further, you can visit their podcast Instagram @sistersinalchemy and their personal pages, Crystal @crystaldawnalchemy, and Jenna @jgalchemy. If you desire to explore Crystal's artist magic further, check out and invest in one of her immersive, invoking paintings on her IG page, her highlight entitled “Available” has all of her original current works of art that are available for purchase. If you desire to explore Jenna's magic further, check out her website or IG page where she shares her current offers for self-led powerful women to work with her including 1:1 transformation mentorship and small group/individual programs.

In this highlight from the podcast, Dr. Cloud talks about why relationships require togetherness and separateness. You might have attachment issues, or anxiety issues. You might interpret separateness as abandonment. You might be feeling controlled because you don't have enough personal time. Start by asking yourself if you're spending too much time together, or too much time apart. If you don't have any togetherness, you don't have a relationship. If you don't have any separateness, you're enmeshed. We were made to be together and separate without losing love for each other.     Got a narcissist in your life? Not sure what to do? To find out more about it go to Boundaries.me/Narcissism. Get a free 14 day trial to Boundaries.me with over 90 video courses, daily coaching emails and more. We've got courses on codependency, finding safe people, dealing with a narcissist, and over 90 other courses. You'll also get daily coaching videos delivered to your inbox--short 2-4 minute videos that give you one thing to do that day to build your way to a better version of yourself. We've also got a members-only support community on the site where you can discuss what you're learning, and get support and share support along the way.
