She has published her writing in various journals including “EdWeek,” “Library Media Connection,” “NEA Today,” and AASL's “Knowledge Quest” and is the author of “Teaching News Literacy in the Age of AI: A Cross Curricular Approach” which will be published by ISTE.  She is a Fulbright/Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellow and is the recipient of an AASL Intellectual Freedom Award. She is a 2023 MSLA “Virtual Influencer” and 2023 Service Award recipient and was named an MSLA “Super Librarian” and Innovator.  She is a member of the ISTE+ASCD Board of Directors and served on the MassCUE Board as PD Chair from 2015-2019. She is passionate about STEM/STEAM, global education and media literacy. In addition to having coordinated the Chinese Exchange Program at Sharon High School for many years, she has journeyed with her students to India, Peru and Tanzania, Africa through World Challenge as a Teacher Leader. Join Chibbi and Eddie V as we talk about growing up TexMex, language and translation, navigating the publishing world, the importance of writing for young adults and so much more! David Bowles is a Mexican-American poet, author and translator from south Texas, where he teaches at the University of Texas Río Grande Valley. He has written several titles, most notably the award-winning Flower, Song, Dance: Aztec and Maya Poetry; The Smoking Mirror; and They Call Me Güero. His work has also been published in multiple anthologies, plus venues such as School Library Journal, Bookbird, Knowledge Quest, Rattle, Translation Review, and the Journal of Children's Literature. In 2017, David was inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters.

Reverend Marlon Foster is the founder and executive director of Knowledge Quest, a Memphis nonprofit that equips youth to maximize their potential through intellectual and character development. Responding to youth gun violence that caused the death of his childhood best friend, Pierre Ramond Henderson, Marlon struggled for three years after obtaining his undergraduate degree in a relentless effort to make his vision a reality, establishing the organization in 1998. As a native South Memphian, Marlon reflects on his roots, what shaped his faith, and working, living, and investing in his community.
