Working and residing in Mississauga, Ontario, his career in comics began in 2008 with work on various indie efforts. In recent years he's worked for publishers like Valiant Entertainment, IDW Publishing, Archie Comics, and Marvel Comics (Rocket, New Mutants: Dead Souls). Second Print nation,You have been with us since the down and dirty days of the pandemic. You were there when I first learned the alphabet and when Marc's dementia kicked in and he started confusing “issues and episodes' together. You were there during our one and only X-Men fantasy draft where an entire scoreboard was cleared because we apparently didn't know the legal definition of mutants. You've been with us through character deaths and resurrections, retcons and reboots, ultimate universes and infinite earths.Hell, we even got to see Zach Snyder's Justice League in full glory the way the good lord intended it.I know what you're thinking, ‘Remso, this sounds like you're saying goodbye…”No.Much like all our favorite series, one era ends so another can begin. In our case, we're not going to end and come back with an episode one.Instead, we're going to be like Valiant Entertainment, and just go on a long break.Unlike Valiant Entertainment though, we won't be gone too long. We'll be pausing Second Print Comics for the remainder of the year, which is really just a few months, and will announce our return date to our regular scheduled programming in 2023.Marc and I have loved getting to give you all a look into our personal lives. Through pandemics and job losses, deaths and marriages, epic highs and deep lows, Me moving to an igloo in Wisconsin and Marc moving to hurricane heaven Florida, you've become an extended part of our fandom family. You all make doing this show so much fun, and I hope we've brought as much joy into your lives as you've brought into ours. However, some stuff has been going on behind the scenes in both our lives. Marc and I have been pulled to deal with some pretty scary things in our individual lives and finding time to get together to make content hasn't been easy.We always want to deliver you all the highest quality content, and the truth is right now we can't deliver that until we both have the space to sort out things that are important to ourselves and our families. There are no issues between Marc and I, throughout all the crazy shit going on, he has remained my steadfast friend, and I hope he'd say the same about me. Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and right now Marc and I need to settle our individual quests before we can team up to deliver you epic crossover-worthy plots, news, and stories.Marc and I want nothing more than to get behind our mics and talk comics with you all, but in order to do that, we first have to slay some dragons. While we won't be putting shows out on the regular feed for a few months, we're each going to find the time to catch up with our Patreon exclusive series such as Remso vs the DCEU and Marc's Case of the Runs. We'll try and schedule our monthly Journey into Mystery calls and continue to send out books. If you're a patron and feel it'd be better to pause your patronage, we totally get it.If you're a current patron, you'll be happy to continue getting regular content from Marc, myself, and our cast of friends. If you haven't become a patron before and you love SPC, now might be the best time to see our epic backlog of archived content and more, this way you'll have your SPC fill until we return to our weekly full shows.Until later, all you need to do is sit back, relax, read comics and change the world!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/second-print-comics-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Humanoids, the Los Angeles-based publisher of some of the world's most iconic and groundbreaking science fiction and fantasy graphic novels, will publish Eisner-nominated writer/artist Ibrahim Moustafa's graphic novel RETROACTIVE, a sci-fi tale about an agent working for the U.S. Bureau of Temporal Affairs who sets out to discover the source of several anomalies in the timeline—only to become imprisoned in an inescapable time loop. The book is being published on April 26, 2022 as part of a three-book deal between Moustafa and Humanoids, the first of which was the critically acclaimed graphic novel COUNT, which re-imagined the story of The Count of Monte Cristo. In RETROACTIVE, the discovery of time travel is unknown to the general public, but a new Cold War rages between global intelligence agencies as they attempt to alter historical events in favor of their respective futures. When new intel points the U.S. Bureau of Temporal Affairs (BTA) toward a hostile anomaly in the past, veteran field agent Tarik Abdelnasser and his new partner, Lucia Olmos, are dispatched to investigate. They discover a radical adversary wielding a new technology that could unravel everything the BTA fights to maintain. As Tarik gets closer to the truth, he finds himself trapped in a time loop where an imminent terrorist attack, and his own death, trigger the day to restart. He must keep his sanity intact and find a way to prevent the attack, escape the loop, and return to his own timeline to thwart the destruction of the BTA and everyone inside of it. "I'm so thrilled to bring another book to life with Humanoids,” said Ibrahim Moustafa. “They've given me the creative autonomy to tell the kinds of stories that I'm most passionate about, and I'm very excited to share this work that the rest of the creative team and I are so proud of. Brad Simpson (colors) and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou (letters) are at their very best on RETROACTIVE, and I can't wait for people to see what we made together under the stewardship of Rob Levin, one of the best editors in the industry." Ibrahim Moustafa is an illustrator and comic book writer/artist from Portland, Oregon. Best known for his Eisner-nominated comics Jaeger and High Crimes as well as his work on titles such as James Bond and DC's Mother Panic, he has been published by DC Entertainment, Marvel Comics, Image Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, Dark Horse Comics, BOOM! Studios, Valiant Entertainment, and IDW Publishing. New York Times bestselling author Robert Venditti broke into comics the old-fashioned way—by starting out in the mailroom. He began working for publisher Top Shelf Productions in 2002, and within a few months sold them the script for The Surrogates, his first comic book series. The story was later adapted into a feature film starring Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames. Venditti went on to write the original graphic novel The Homeland Directive, as well as the graphic novel adaptations of Rick Riordan's bestselling Percy Jackson and the Olympians novels. In 2012, he helped relaunch Valiant Entertainment's comic book universe by writing their flagship title, X-O Manowar. Venditti currently writes GREEN LANTERN for DC Comics. He lives in Atlanta.
