How does Ezra's role as an intercessor, urging the people to return to God and pursue holiness, compare to Jesus, who not only calls for repentance but also provides the ultimate path to reconciliation and spiritual renewal through His sacrifice? At New Promise Church you will see people of all ages, from a variety of backgrounds, and at different stages of their spiritual journey. We desire to draw closer to Jesus by understanding who He is and what He has done for us.

There's no glory in easy. We find God's purposes for our lives in the difficulties of life. Don't run from the tough stuff. God will meet you there! We look at 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 to see how God meets us in our weaknesses for his glory. If I had one last truth to preach, this is what I want you to know about Jesus.#christian #ShareThisPost #podcast #sermon #jesus
In the latest episode of Didaché, Justin Peters critically discusses the passing of Jerry Savelle, a prominent figure in the Word-Faith movement, noting the irony and tragedy of his teachings not safeguarding him from an untimely death. Savelle, known for his close ties with other controversial prosperity gospel preachers, is a key example of the failures inherent in Word-Faith theology. Peters underscores the discrepancies in Savelle's teachings, particularly around prophetic messages that Savelle claimed to receive, yet which were often contradictory. The episode serves as a sober reflection on such religious movements' spiritual and material implications. ➡️ Find all of Justin's essential links here: https://linktr.ee/justinpetersmin

Imam Khalid Latif is a University Chaplain for New York University, and Executive Director of the Islamic Center at NYU (ICNYU). Under his leadership, ICNYU became the first ever established Muslim student center at an institution of higher education in the United States. Imam Latif's exceptional dedication and ability to cross interfaith and cultural lines on a daily basis brought him recognition throughout New York City, so much so that in 2007, Mayor Michael Bloomberg nominated Imam Latif to become the youngest chaplain in history of the New York City Police Department at the age of 24. Most recently, Imam Latif was selected as one of 60 New York City leaders to serve on Mayor Bill de Blasio's transition team, helping to recommend and select individuals for key roles in the current NYC administration and was also appointed to a “Task Force to Combat Hate” by NYC Public Advocate Letitia James to deal with the rise in Islamophobic, antisemitic, and anti-Sikh sentiment in NYC.Support the Islamic Center at NYUOur operating and programmatic budget comes directly from donations and as our community grows, so do our expenses. In this episode we take a little bit of a different route and dissect a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. We speak about The Final Sermon he gave and his message to mankind. There are many lessons to go over in this and things from his sermon that we apply today. It was an interesting discussion because we never just sat down to discuss a hadith and especially not one of such importance. Dear Family and Friends,It hardly seems possible that I preached my first sermon at our church in 2001. I hope you can join us this Sunday as I will be preaching my last sermon at DRCC. While Erika and I feel deep sadness, sadness isn't the only emotion we feel. We are grateful for the many kingdom stories we have been privileged to be a part of. I am grateful to have the opportunity to speak to you one last time on Sunday to share my heart with you—to convey both my gratitude to you and to encourage you to stay rooted in Jesus. I am praying God's grace and wisdom on you and our leaders and I am praying for DRCC to experience greater kingdom victories in the future.
Malachi is the last book of many of our Bibles. And it's the last words God's people have from God until Jesus arrives. Seth and David talk about the good news of God's love and the good news that God is willing to argue with his people.
