Welcome to Mysteries to Die For. I am TG Wolff and am here with Jack, my piano player, and producer. This is a podcast where we combine storytelling with original music to put you at the heart of mystery, murder, and mayhem. Some episodes will be original stories, others will be classics that helped shape the mystery genre we know today. These are arrangements, which means instead of word-for-word readings, you get a performance meant to be heard. Jack and I perform these live, front to back, no breaks, no fakes, no retakes (unless it's really bad) This is Season 4, A Word Before Dying. This season contains original stories written just for you and built around that classic mystery theme of the last word before dying. Episode 9, the last in this season, is about standing your ground. This is Fading Shadow, a De La Cruz Casefile by TG Wolff Be Part of our Pack! On Episode 17 of the new season on ReVolver, the crew recaps their trip to Miami where Rachel La Loca, Juan Bago and Frank represented for the LOL squad and brought home the Tecla trophy for Best Podcast Content Creators! The crew describes that moment when Latinos Out Loud was announced as the winner (SPOILER ALERT: RACHEL WAS AN EMOTIONAL MESS). There is no Miami story left untold: from the wardrobe malfunction that caused everyone to be late for the red carpet, to the play-by-play of Rachel and Juan’s acceptance speeches, to Frank snoring up a storm in the condo. Bago roasts and boasts about the nightmarish dining experiences they witnessed and Rachel tells us which old school Latino musician slapped Bago across the chest in the street. Dieciocho, Episode 12, Manny Ruiz, Hispanicize Texas by Victor Landa
From celebrities, musicians, actors, and influencers who are pretty well known themselves, Hispanicize 2016 was the gathering place for Latinos in the U.S. earlier this month. They were there to connect and network with one another, as well as what founder Manny Ruiz might argue was the primary reason for #Hispz16, to make an impact. We were in Miami for the full week of both the first inaugural DiMe Summit, which took place one day prior to Hispanicize, and for the seventh annual Hispanicize 2016 event. The week was definitely action-packed and thought provoking. So much so, that we are dedicating an entire episode to all things Hispanicize. Tune in to hear directly from founder Manny Ruiz about the importance of Latinos uniting as one community; a very inspirational keynote speech by Texas's own Lizzie Velasquez, and her parents; as well as a brief excerpt from Vine superstar, Lele Pons on what it means to be a part of a global social community. And we'll even reveal the official dates for Hispanicize 2017! Want more about Hispanicize? Read the following links from Juan of Words and SandraSays.
