Welcome back to Crushing Comics Book Club for Batman by Grant Morrison! This is the final of our three episodes of pre-reading to catch up on some of the themes, characters, and influences on Morrison's run. Next week, Morrison begins! It’s a 200-page hardcover that provokes more thought and questions in that page count than most OGNs at twice the size. Sean Phillips and Ed Brubaker have a new project that will be released as a series of standalone graphic novels. The format and intent of the "Reckless" series reminds me a bit of the European album tradition, even if the physical format isn't quite so large. Other professionals are considering OGNs now, too.
