Hi Friends, It's me: Sister Indica, creator and star of the melodramatic queer audio drama Blazed All Our Lives. We are currently hard at work on on the epic series finale titled: LETHAL INTENTIONS...but before that's released (as a very special ten-part miniseries no less) I wanted to take some time to celebrate the previous seven volumes with little mix tapes I've curated containing some of my favorite moments - as well as very important plot points to keep in mind for the finale. Of course, if you're new to the show, what you're about to hear will spoil things for you. But even if they do...just know that we're working on for the finale IS going to be BLOW. YOUR. MIND. Trust me when I tell you that I've saved the very, very best for last. The next mixtape in the BEST OF BLAZED series is from Blazed All Our Lives III: Desperate Business, originally released in 2020. Featuring performances by: Sister Indica, Rosie Bush & Pandora DeStrangeAlso starring: Pissi Myles as Natalie WinterKadee Christian-Starr as Bianca WolfSarah Biggart as Lily BanksTracy Payne-Black as Dosha Davis-BrownIva Turner as Morgana PrinceWell...what are you waiting for? Hello and welcome to another episode of the Drinks after work Podcast! This week, we're cheersin with photographer, graphic designer, illustrator, and all-around visual artist David Ayllon. He shares a few stories of how he has transitioned from one medium to the next by mostly teaching himself the skills that he didn't already have as he needed to learn them. We talk all about his transitions from being a graphic designer to now primarily doing photo and video and even some animation. We go in depth about his experience working at a broad range of companies like Marriott and Rockstar Games, and how that's helped shape him into who he is today, along with helped shape his design style. David is also married to drag queen extraordinaire, Joe aka Pissi Myles, and we chat through how they complement each other at work and at home with their creativity and work ethics. We have a lot of moments of geeking and nerding throughout this episode, so I hope you're ready for it! We're sticking with high school outsiders as we revisit Robert Rodriguez's The Faculty (1998). We're joined by Pissi Myles of My Spooky Gay Family podcast to discuss all of the film's many, MANY queer elements, courtesy of screenwriter Kevin Williamson.Aside from the homages to classic sci-fi, we tackle queer coding in Stokely and Casey, question why Zeke is such an asshole and absolutely rip into the terrible finale, which betrays nearly every character.Plus: debating the Rodriguez vs Williamson elements, Joe bemoans how Usher was used by the Tommy Hilfiger tie-in campaign, the return of Trace's Elijah Woods thirst, and debating the ingredients in Scat. Oh, and we get personal about our bullying experiences in the locker room.Questions? Comments? Snark? Our 100th episode and Trick or Trash finale Spooktacular! Ernest P. Worrell just has to pick the one tree in the Dark Forest™ that's imprisoning an evil troll to build a hangout for the neighborhood kids. Ignoring the advice of the town witch, Eartha Kitt, Ernest unintentionally awakens the dormant troll, Trantor, releasing it to once again wreak Halloween Havoc® on the sleepy Missouri suburb of Briarville. Trantor starts turning the town's pre-teens into tiny wooden dolls to power his Boo Berry infested Tree of Might that will breed him an army of trolls. Not even our main kid characters Kenny, Elizabeth, or Joey are safe! Now, with a little help from his dog Rimshot, Ernest must follow in the footsteps of his ancestor and take down Trantor before midnight on Halloween! We've got special guest Pissi Myles from My Spooky Gay Family joining us and we're talking all things Ernest. We're also talking about which MDU characters we would fuse, our first experiences with Ernest, and potential Ernest sequels we wish existed. So stock up on chocolate milk and Hostess cupcakes, pick the perfect place to build your high ground fort, and crack that authentic Bulgarian Miak, because all this talk about trolls is gonna leave Ernest Scared Stupid, know what we mean?Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/moviedumpster)
