The leaders of major conferences and Notre Dame are feeling the pressure and are acting towards one another as they fight for dollars and prestige. A verbal battle has broken out between Notre Dame and their business , but not conference partner the ACC. They have working relationship that has become very tense the announcement of the 12 team College Football bracket was revealed to the world. Norte Dame making accusations, the ACC claiming they were only looking out for the conference best interest. Then out of nowhere the commissioner of the Big Xll came off the top rope with a vicious elbow to Notre Dame's Pride.  There behavior is not collegiate or exemplary.  As I tried wrap things up B1G news from the a school in the B1G. As one of the members had drop a bomb in the middle coaching search carousal time. Again, one's behavior off the field is going to not derail if not crash a promising career, but cost many innocent people to the unemployment line. I begin todays show updating the world of CFB job news. How was the latest to join the high paid unemployment line. The number of dollars being burned could feed the hunger in the country. Today's episode is about how Schools in major college Football are shaped by the past and how they try continue to hang on to those beliefs. Even, with teams like Indiana, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech showing they way of the to the top of CFB. Many different people are caught in this loop of belief that the old way is the best way. I started the podcast with an update on the story of College basketball who continue to run a foul of the gambling rules. As we all try to get head around the fallout of the Grant House case settlement. One can't help but wonder "What's Next"? I touch on the first of its kind lawsuit as the U. of Wisconsin has filed a litigation vs U. of Miami Florida over poaching Xavier Lucas a football player who had contract with the Badgers. Will this slow down the active tampering of players on another's team roster? This case will go a long way telling us what will happen next on that topic. Secondly, I discussed what is clearly next after the post House case settlement. The women are coming and they want their cut of the settlement back payment. In my best DeWayne "THE ROC" Johnson voice. "FINALLY" The Grant House case been ratified by Judge Claudia Wilkins and she can retires from the bench. I inform who the heck Grant House is and is not. After a June 6th News dump. College athletic administrators are in lock step on how to run college sports? Well, that's what the "House Case Settlement is supposed to bring. Everyone singing, dancing, slapping each other on the back, kissing babies and taking a lap with their victory cigars?    Before I get heavy into the fallout of the settlement, I discuss an oldie but, a goodie. The Connor Stallion case is back! The NCAA Committee on infractions meet with the parties involved in this one including Connor Stallion. Of course not Jim Harbaugh he is never planning on coaching in the college ranks again.  Michigan has tried to self impose a penalty in this case, but the Committee wanted to (remember this Committee in the future) hear the evidence from those involved before giving a final ruling in August. Michigan threw out a penalty of H/C Sherrone Moore would sit out weeks 3 & 4 under Michigan's Plan. The enforcement committee( remember this Committee in the future also) on infractions will probably have more to say on the matter.  Back to the main story, Most of the fallout has been discussed on my show and others at nauseum. Playing athletes, back playing older athletes, how the will be divided amongst  present and future athletes. Roster limits and people to run college sports. Such as Bryan Seeley, I give you more on his background in the pod. How they handle new/real NIL to athletes? How schools don't opt into 'REV Share will live and those who do and dot abide/sign by the new agreements amongst themselves are dealt with or decide to cheat will be dealt with.  The loud remaining questions clear, who's happy and not? The sitting President of the United States decided to poke his nose in the business of college athletics. He threatened to take action and then named committee. Listen to hear what all the fuss was about and where could it take us. The House continue to take up time and space in our hearts, minds and worlds. Judge Wilkens has bent over backwards to give proper guidance on roster limits to the member institutions(the schools) that make up the NCAA. She have given more than hints. Judge Wilkins has given a road map to the schools and their leadership on how to get her to approve the House case settlement. On the other hand the schools and their leadership have to decided to play a game of chicken with Judge Wilkins and basically stated, no thanks, we will continue to do things as we see fit when comes to roster limits. If they don't do what she wants, things could get very messy for the school and very costly. The next week or so could be interesting for the smaller schools who don't want to pay their athletes , but would "NOT" be able stay alive if they lose in court. The Power 4 commissioners met late week to discuss the future the format of the College football playoffs. In 2026 a new contact for the playoffs will change and more money can be earned. The B1G and SEC will have control of playoffs.  How many teams, how they will selected and how teams are seed will under the control of the new format. The playoff committee role will change and lose some control of the format and team selection under a plan purposed by the B1G/SEC. Well, April 7th came and went with no ratification of the house case settlement. We were told 6+ months ago, that Judge Wilkins was going to put an end to this round of law suits and bring some clarity to college sports with her signing of on the House case settlement. We were all waiting with baited breath for the April 7th. She didn't deliver the guidance and peace we all sought. A whole lot of betting going on and this episode is here to explain what is going on. First of all FSU and Clemson betted against the ACC and ESPN and lost. Okay, okay let me explain. FSU and Clemson were suing the ACC and ESPN for the ability to break the Grant of rights. They believed that they could break the grant of rights and get to another Conference and get a bigger and better rev share cut. Here the thing, FSU and Clemson were burning money on legal fees. They were no closer to getting free from the ACC. Plus, they found how much the other Conferences didn't what them. They did gain some new advantages with staying with the ACC. Peace in our time? Some Georgia state legislators are betting on that can pass legislation that with allow the college athletes in their state to be tax exempt. They believe this legislation will aid in better recruiting at the schools in their state. One the biggest issues the NCAA faces is interference from State law makers who only see things that set advantages for their schools. Those law makers only make it difficult for the NCAA to pass law that are equal for all schools. Speaking of Law makers our congress is being wooed by lobbyist of the NCAA to create and pass anti-trust laws to protect them from being sued  every time try to legislate the rules that are past by the member institutions. There is a strange twist, these same law makers are being wooed by leaders of NIL leaders for the athletes. The law makers are double dipping , but for who's benefit? Sounds like both side are betting on something will get done. Lastly, The FBI is investigating point shaving and game influence in the NBA and College basketball. The colleges are fearing betting on many levels. The attacks on players social media and the lost of eligibility. ESPN has clearly told their announcers to be bias on behalf of the SEC. Players in the playoff are having to decide to stay and be stuck or leaving their teams before the playoff are over. What a mess! Diego Pavia the QB at Vanderbilt, sued the NCAA for more eligibility. There is fallout from the 2024 College football season that NO one was counting on happening. The athletes find something more valuable than NIL dollars and it's "playing time". They have that its more valuable to them than money. The athletes want exposure for the pro's, their next team or a bN729HY6etter NIL deal. They refuse to sit wait their turn , they want it now.  Also, they other thing to fall out of the use of money to pay athletes in the future. Schools are being forced to hang onto Coaches, that would have been fired by this time of the season. Normally, schools would have turned to a booster to write a check to make a coach disappear. Now, the schools will need that booster money for past payments to athletes eligible to received a cut of the House settlement case. The will need that money for future athletes payments. This is also something thing the athletes wanted for a different reason.
