But they also focused on Josh's latest Secret Paramilitary project, Disavowed.  Disavowed has a lot of meaning for GIJoe fans, secret government agency fandoms, and for Josh specifically and he's taking ownership of it in a huge way. Ah, the chaos of our Writing Sessions! This episode kicks off with a behind-the-scenes look at the madness that fuels our creativity. We reminisce about the 80s, laugh over iconic scenes from, "Revenge of the Nerds," and even debate Buddy Holly's middle finger. Our personal stories take center stage, from wild all-night parties to hilarious mishaps with our cats, and we bond over our shared disdain for strip clubs. And don't miss the uproarious tale of a friend who got way too high on pot brownies during a Red Sox-Yankees game. Switching gears, we take a quirky detour into the world of left-handed people, exploring historical and psychological quirks that set them apart. This leads to a spirited argument about candy corn and black licorice that you won't want to miss. Alongside our candy debates, we dive into Halloween nostalgia, celebrating the new Carmella Creeper cereal and reminiscing about classics like Boo Berry and Count Chocula. These conversations blend into our culinary struggles, where we tackle the woes of sensitive stomachs and the absurdity of extreme spice tolerance, sharing hilarious encounters with everything from mild foods to spicy ramen. Our segment on spicy foods includes shout-outs to, "Hot Ones," and personal stories that will have you in stitches. As the episode winds down, we confront creepy-crawly fears, recount playful pranks, and brainstorm a new doll character with a tragic backstory. And let's not forget our lively debate on the timeless allure of actresses over 70. Sophia Loren and Linda Carter, anyone? Tune in for a blend of humor, nostalgia, and unexpected twists! In celebration of its 30th anniversary, The Warhol presents KAWS + Warhol, the first exhibition to examine the dark themes present in the work of both artists. From skulls to car crashes, both artists deploy their signature bright colors and pop culture references while also presenting the lurid spectacle of death. The dark undercurrents in the work of KAWS and Warhol are magnified and brought into plain sight by presenting the two artists together for the first time.KAWS will also respond to Warhol's embrace of commercialism by presenting a new series of paintings, sculptures, and installations related to his recent commission with General Mills which inserted his signature characters into the packaging for some of America's most loved cereal boxes including Reese's Puffs, Count Chocula, and Boo-Berry. The cereal works will be juxtaposed with Warhol's iconic Brillo Boxes and his lesser-known series of paintings for children. In response to The Warhol's new initiative The Pop District, KAWS will also present a monumental wooden sculpture in Pop Park, directly across from the museum and visible from its entrance space.https://www.warhol.org/exhibition/kaws-warhol/ Hosted on Acast. What's up, dudes? It's a fun, light hearted episode today with special guests Anthony Caruso from ‘Tis the Podcast and CM Chuck from Just Another Friday Night! That's right! We're talking the General Mills monster cereals! Officially created in 1928, General Mills traces its history back to the 1860's. Introduced in March of 1971, Count Chocula is a chocolate loving vampire designed by George Karn. His cereal, as his name suggests, was made of delicious whole grain corn chocolate flavor frosted cereal and marshmallow bits. His Bela Lugosi-inspired voice was provided by Larry Kenney for the commercials. In the 1980's Count Chocula character was re-vamped (pun intended) with a more svelte physique, a slender nose, and added shading on his clothes. New boxes were introduced, even including a set where Lugosi's Dracula chased a terrified Count Chocula.Franken Berry followed soon after in October of ‘71, also a Karn design. He is a slightly rotund pink version of Frankenstein's creature with sweet strawberry cereal and marshmallows. Voiced by Bob McFadden, he was given a Boris Karloff-style voice.Boo Berry, the blueberry flavored cereal ghost mascot, was released in 1973. His Peter Lorre-tinged voice was provided by Christmas special voice acting legend Paul Frees. Boo Berry is a blue ghost with a red bow-tie and red and yellow hat.Rounding out the cast is Frute Brute, a werewolf introduced in ‘74 and retired in ‘82, and Fruity Yummy Mummy, released in ‘88 and retired in ‘92. Both are fruit flavored cereals. In ‘85 the cereal pieces became ghost shaped, and in ‘89 bat shaped marshmallows were introduced.Hanna-Barbera vibe? Check. Classic Universal Studios Monster pastiches? Uh huh. Loads and loads of sugar? Definitely! So grab a spoon, put on your chocolate cloak, and pour out a big bowl full of this episode on monster cereals!'Tis the PodcastFB: @tisthepodcastTwitter: @tisthepodIG: @tisthepodcastFB Group: Tis the Podcast GroupJust Another Friday NightYouTube: @JAFNpodcastFB: @JAFNpodcastTwitter: @JAFNpodcastIG: @jafnpodcastCheck us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Totally Rad Christmas Mall & Arcade, Teepublic.com, or TotallyRadChristmas.com! Herschel Walker recently said at a Senate debate that “you gotta eat right” or insulin is “doing you no good.” The response was aggressive by all political sides. Suddenly everyone agreed that this was insulting despite the fact that the real insult is added to injury by conditioning people to the idea of living their life on a line thrown out by Big-Pharma. Too many of us shun personal responsibility in exchange for turning our life and health over to others. We rely on drugs, pharmaceutical companies, and politicians to take care of us. We vote for people who will ‘lower' the cost of already ‘overpriced' irresponsibility in most cases. Instead of debating over who did or didn't vote to cap the cost of prescription drugs or insulin, how about asking why so many people need these things to begin with? What about the revolving door between industry and government that works together to gaslight the public into believing they are getting a deal on things they largely don't need to begin with. The CDC says that “eliminating 3 risk factors – poor diet, inactivity, and smoking – would prevent 80% of heart disease and stroke cases, 80% of type 2 diabetes mellitus cases, and 40% of cancer cases.” How come members of the pandemos cult are not constantly talking about the massive amount of money and life that can be saved here? Likewise, how come those refusing gene-therapy needles for side-effects or ingredients willingly consume Halloween candy or cereals like Franken Berry, Boo Berry and Count Chocula, containing Red 40, Blue 1, and Blue 2, which not only cause toxicity to the liver and kidney's, but cancer and DNA damage? Listen as these things snap, crack, and pop you into terror.

An angry mommy Steve joins Joe in this, the 17th episode, where there's lots of hot takes but barely any advice. Before getting into the fan questions, they talk about the miracle of Joe's metabolism since it's that it works on the schedule of a teen but results in the body of a husky male. They also settle on the fact that Steve is a pain in the ass when it comes to sharing a meal. Once the question comes in "What's for breakfast?" things get heated. Steve ain't having it. Later on Joe gives a bit of Dogfather advice which spins into Steve's hatred of his cat. They are a day late and a dollar short with advice to a European about what to do in NYC that came here two weeks ago and is already back across the pond. Steve tells stories on how he ruins memorabilia from Willie Mays and Terry Bradshaw. But finally, they do give some "helpful" advice on what adds more value, learning in a school or getting real life experience. Steve needs a nap.

Also I refuse (forgot) to edit out parts where the wifi was spotty - you're welcome for the "realism".
