The LAT part of the term stands for Living Alone Together, which means that LAT couples are in a committed romantic relationship, but each person maintains their own private life and space. Back in 2011, a research team began a multi-method study looking into how prominent LAT couples were in the UK. Her students know her as Ceci. She is part of a team that delivers near peer prevention in local middle and high schools, teaching from lived experience rather than from a textbook, and she builds her presentations around quotes and stories that teens recognize from their own lives. She entered an abusive relationship at fourteen with an older partner and stayed in it for ten years, a decade she now uses to show students how control can arrive disguised as protection. She left at twenty-four, when her oldest daughter was two months old. Today she is raising three daughters, and she talks with students about la tóxica, love bombing, the silent treatment, and the rights every young person has: to feel safe at home, to be a kid, and to be loved in a healthy way.Key Points• Control often arrives in the language of protection, which is why it survives the first look. Ceci's partner came to her soccer practices to walk her home safely, and that became the reason she should stop playing.• The silent treatment is the first flag most teens miss. Someone who cares will have the conversation about what went wrong; withholding it is a punishment, and it shows up long before anything physical does.• An apology that arrives as a gift is one more turn of the cycle. He broke her phone whenever he got angry and replaced it within hours with one her parents could not have afforded, which made the next break easier to absorb.• Time in the wrong relationship is the cost that compounds. Ceci tells students, "If you get on the wrong bus, make sure you get off on the first stop," because she stayed on from fourteen to twenty-four.• Blame does its damage by moving the rules off the record. Once she was reading his face for permission he never had to forbid anything out loud, and she started deciding for herself not to see her friends.• A teen's playlist is a way in, and calling it bad music closes the door. Ceci wanted her mother to ask why she loved the sad, heartbroken songs she played loud enough to get told to turn them down.• Home sets the first model of love, so prevention starts before any relationship does. Ceci grew up without a picture of what affection looks like and assembled one from television, the same gap she now watches teens fill with Euphoria.• Teens act on rights before they act on warning signs. Raidījumā Zināmais nezināmajā skaidro Latvijas Universitātes Eksakto zinātņu un tehnoloģiju fakultātes pētnieks Viesturs Zandersons un Latvijas Universitātes Eksakto zinātņu un tehnoloģiju fakultātes asociētais profesors, ģeologs Ģirts Stinkulis. -- Latīņamerikas valsti Venecuēlu trešdien, 24. jūnijā, satricinājušas divas spēcīgas zemestrīces ar 7,2 un 7,5 magnitūdu stiprumu. Postījumi nodarīti arī galvaspilsētā Karakasā.  Pirmās zemestrīces epicentrs atradās 21 kilometru uz rietumiem no piekrastes pilsētas Moronas. 39 sekundes vēlāk aptuveni 45 kilometru attālumā notika otra zemestrīce. Piedzīvoti vēl 20 pēcgrūdieni. NASA publicētie dati liecina, ka spēcīgajās zemestrīcēs Venecuelā ir sabojājušas vai sagrāvušas vairāk nekā 58 000 ēku.    Ko par zemestrīcēm domāja cilvēki vairākus tūkstošus gadu senā vēsturē? Dievu dusmas, nepaklausīgu dievību dumpošanās pazemē, milzu dzīvnieki, kas kustas uz saviem pleciem nesot pasauli – tā senāk cilvēki ir skaidrojuši zemestrīču rašanos. Pa starpu šiem ticējumiem arī zinātniski skaidrojumi,  piemēram, 1774. gadā  izdotajā „Augstas gudrības grāmatā” Vecais  Stenders par zemestrīci raksta šādi: „Dziļā zemē ir daudz alas, dažas no iekšķīgiem sērainiem tvaikiem iekarst un gruzd, kamēr uguns iešaujās, kur nu caurumu atrod, un kad vietām caurumu neatrod, kur tie iekšķīgi karsti tvaiki, kas plešās, iziet varētu, tad visa virsēja zeme top celta  un kratīta un rīb un trīc.  Ak tu Dieva sodība! Kas par briesmām, kad zeme apakš kājām zūd un lejas par kalniem ceļās.” Lai arī Latvija atrodas seismiski neaktīvā zonā, tomēr vēl pirms Stendera zinātnisku pamatojumu šai dabas parādībai ir devis Stendera tautietis, vācbaltu mācītājs Georgs Mancelis un runa ir par zemestrīci  Bauskas apkaimē 1616. gadā. Tikko Kašima novērsis uzmanību, tā sams dauzījis asti un kustējies un sākās zemestrīce.  Pievēršamies arī citiem pasaules reģioniem un mītiem. In this episode of the Postural Restoration Podcast i am joined by Danielle Phillips, PT, DPT, PRC, CIDN and Eric Phillips, LAT, ATC, PRT. Although they were individually exposed to PRI through different mentors and pathways, they eventually found the science and each other along the way. Today they reside in Louisville, KY where Danielle started her private practice, Untapped, while Eric spends time with the University of Louisville Orthopedics and private training alongside Danielle at Untapped.As Danielle sat in her second course and Eric was introduced to PRI via Postural Respiration in Lima, OH they found themselves partnered for the scheduled labs, and quickly connected through discussion about this science and the shared interests they have. That night they found themselves at the same restaurant recommended by the host site, and the conversation never stopped. Although in different settings both Danielle and Eric recall wanting more for the individuals they worked with. Danielle started noticing some constraints within both orthopedic and rehab settings she had been in and knew she wanted to offer more. Coming from parents who were dedicated business owners and some encouragement to take the leap, Danielle started Untapped in August of 2019, and went on to earn her PRC in 2020.During this time Eric was finishing up his Athletic Training degree at Northern Kentucky and driving hundreds of miles back and forth to visit Danielle when time allowed. Upon completing his degree in 2019 Eric continued working in the Cincinnati area for a few years, until 2022 when he moved to Louisville to join Danielle and further mold his own clinical setting. Eric went on to earn his PRT as part of the 2024 class. After years apart they are now side by side offering PRI services to the Louisville community.Together they have continued to build a PRI community within their own, and in 2025 we hosted Myokinematic Restoration for the first time in Louisville. Untapped is proud to be the only Postural Restoration Center in the state of KY, and continues to be a resource to many in the area seeking PRI treatment. Danielle is excited to currently be training to teach the Pelvis Restoration course, currently absorbing all she can from both Jennifer Poulin, Lori Thomsen and Jason Miller as she prepares to present on her own.Danielle and Eric have many shared interests outside of PRI such as Martial Arts and other movement systems, however PRI has remained a huge part of their story from the beginning. In this episode they walk us through it all, and discuss how together they introduce their shared passion for PRI to their patients and clients, with hope it continues to grow in their community as a whole.

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon joined Heather du Plessis-Allan to chat about his Australia trip. Lat week, after it was announced four New Zealand MPs would be banned from China for a year, Australia commented condemning China's decision. Luxon responded saying it was not a matter for Australia to be involved in, but today he stated he was 'appreciative' of the support anyway. A focus of the trip was economic integration in a 'volatile world', including facilitating infrastructure partnerships.
