I found a great reminder for all of us when it comes to creating something special in our life and the fact that there are tons of distractions out there that we need to filter through. From Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) he shares this thought from his book “The Carpenter” - “To create something special you have to care more about what you are creating than the distractions vying for your attention.”  Well, seeing that there are tons of distractions for all of us in our world today - I wanted to get this out there so we can start to maybe find ways to focus on what we want more than we focus on those distractions. For me, it's always challenging, but I'm working toward getting better with this. Ernie famously played Winston Zeddmore in Ghostbusters. He has also appeared in many, many other projects, including films like The Crow, Airheads and Miss Congeniality and on TV on Oz, Grace and Frankie, LA's Finest and most recently as L. C. Duncan in The Family Business. It was such an honor to sit down with Ernie and we immediately got along. We talk about his childhood and the emotional moment last year when the street he grew up on was renamed in his honor. We also get into the inner strength he's developed riding the highs and lows of an almost 60 year (!) career in show business. National League Division Series Recap Games Three, Four and FiveThe Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers will meet once again in the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers took care of the Phillies in four games, though their margin of victory in their three wins was just four runs. The Philadelphia pitchers, notably Christopher Sánchez, Ranger Suarez, and Jesús Luzardo, performed admirably against the potent LA lineup. It was the vaunted offense that let the Phillies down, as Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, and Kyle Schwarber struggled mightily outside of game three in this series. Although the Dodgers will be the lower seed in the NLCS, they appear primed to not only defend their NL pennant, but perhaps become the first repeat World Series champions since the 2000 Yankees.The Brewers dominated the Cubs in the first two games in Milwaukee, but the script was flipped once the series moved to Chicago. The Cubbies continued their first strike offense with early homers from Michael Busch and Ian Happ, and the bullpen held on to send this series to a decisive fifth game. The Brew Crew finally kept the Cubs off the board in the first inning, and their electric bullpen held Chicago to a solo home run from Seiya Suzuki. Homers from William Contreras, Andrew Vaughn, and Brice Turang were all Pat Murphy's squad needed to secure a series win. Jason Schwantz, senior vice president of energy at CHS, says plants have been retooling this summer leading to a smaller supply of diesel in the upper midwest. He's advising farms to think about securing their supplies now before other plants retool this fall.Dairy farmers had hoped that changes to the Federal Milk Marketing Orders would enhance their milk checks and their financial future. That may happen, but it's going to take time. Mike Brown, vice president for dairy market intelligence at T.C. Jacoby & Company, says early projections showed Class III milk prices could drop by as much as 90 cents per hundredweight, or about 7.5 cents per gallon. Some producers may have seen that, he notes, but many other factors, like processor-producer negotiations, continue to influence milk checks. After another mad Monday night at St James's Park, Jim Boardman and Jay Reid are back to dissect that dramatic 3-2 win for the Reds over Newcastle United. The duo dive straight into the chaos that unfolded in the North East, where the Geordies tried their best to create a hostile atmosphere with their "get into them" banners and owner-led social media wind-ups. Did it all backfire spectacularly when young Rio Ngumoha broke their hearts with the winner in his Premier League debut? They don't hold back on Newcastle's behaviour throughout the summer during this whole Isak saga, culminating in what we saw on Monday. From booing Ekitike every time he touched the ball to their owners and management letting fans think they're the hard-done-by party in all this, the attempts at faking some long-standing bitter rivalry to get everyone up for the challenge was laughable by the end. Jay and Jim explore how being a one-club city might be doing Newcastle no favours, suggesting they're living in a bit of an echo chamber without the reality checks - with heaps of sarcasm usually thrown in - that come from having proper local rivals. Meanwhile, they dissect Simon Hooper's referee performance (did chest-cam put him off?) and that inevitable Anthony Gordon red card that had been brewing all night. Looking ahead, there's the small matter of Arsenal coming to Anfield this weekend, with another ref who's made a name for himself, Chris Kavanagh, in the middle - and the lads have plenty to say about that particular appointment.
