The CBB Boys are thrilled to bring you the audio version of their 300th episode! And for this anniversary they welcome back to the show a very familiar name and a great friend - writer Richard Rivera! Richard is here to chat about his new Kickstarter for the latest Stabbity Bunny project: a remastered version of Stabbity Ever After #1 which takes Stabbity on a more humorous path through an alternative reality. But this time Richard brings along some friends to the show with their own Kickstarter campaign! Making their CBB debut to discuss it are writers and Insymmetry Creations co-founders Matt Knowles and Steph Cannon! Matt and Steph take us into the world of Heirs of Isildur, a collision of sci-fi, steampunk, heavy metal and graphic storytelling that is on its fourth issue! Heirs of Isildur is not the only project under the Insymmetry Creations banner and we also get to hear about a number of those. And best of all, there is a campaign component where Stabbity and Isildur crossover!!! (Links to the Kickstarter campaigns are below in the comments!) Afterwards Steve, Caleb and Bill Z launch into an unexpected Manga tangent and roundtable a few new comics including Wonder Woman (DC), The Question: All Along the Watchtower (DC) and Maria Llovet's Violent Flowers (Image) - so hit play and enjoy two hours and 34 seconds of hairy, heavy, Kickstartery anniversary goodness!!!
The CBB boys are thrilled to welcome back Richard Rivera to the show! A veteran guest of ours and long time friend of the podcast, Richard is the Co-Publisher of Scout Comics and the writer/creator of the fan favorite series Stabbity Bunny. Stabbity is a plush toy rabbit that has been passed down generations in a family that has been hunted by supernatural forces for almost 100 years. It is now in the hands of young Grace Lee and we discover that Stabbity is far more than a toy! Richard is here to discuss the latest Stabbity-related Kickstarter campaign for collected editions of Stabbity Bunny Volumes 1 and 2 and much, much more!
Every Friday night Will Allred and Kevin Joseph sit down to talk comics, crowdfunding, and a little bit of Pop Culture with comic creators currently running campaigns. This week the creators who joined us were: Pat Shand returns to introduce us to his NSFW anthology Cheeky. While it is not shy to swim in the waters of sexuality and carnal sex, Cheeky is a fun and unique take on relationships and the physical aspects of those relationships. The campaign can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/patshand/cheeky-a-nsfw-graphic-novel Pat Shand can be found on Twitter @PatShand. Scout Comics brand new Co-Publisher Richard Rivera was on to talk about his return to Kickstarter with Stabbity Bunny Volumes 1 and 2. It may be his return to Kickstarter, but it is Scout Comics first campaign to bring two volumes of Stabbity Bunny into print. It can be found here:. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/scoutcomics/stabbity-bunny-volume-1-and-2 Follow the campaign on twitter @stabbitybunny CK Lawsen joined to talk about the anthology they edit Tales from the Cloakroom, which came out of Scott Snyder's writing workshop he hosts through his substack. 19 stories with one rule, it has to have something to do with a jacket. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cloakroom-comics/scott-snyder-presents-tales-from-the-cloakroom CK can be found on twitter @chrisdoescomics We were thrilled to speak with Lesly Julian and AJ O, Mason about Headcases. They have a cool dark comedy about two dudes finding a hitman's duffle bag, and the severed head that is in it which we would have been stoked to talk about on its own. But the fact they are the first campaign we've discussed that is using crowdfundr.com, was an extra cool perk for the show. Kevin pledge live during the show and it took all of two minutes to get through the entire process! In Episode 415, we’re kicking off 2020 with a fun conversation with Richard Rivera, the creator of Stabbity Bunny, and artist Chris Hamer! A special one-shot called Emmet’s Story has just been released, so we discuss what that book is about as well as how Chris came to provide a great variant cover, which you can see in the banner above. We talk about their other various projects as well as what we can expect from them in the coming months, including more issues of Stabbity Bunny from Richard and The Adventures of Byron from Chris, so don’t miss it! With D Squared filling in for the absent J.D they also talk nerd news, like Spierverse 2 being confirmed for 2022 and Peyton Reed returning to direct Ant-Man 3, Plus an interview with the creative team behind Stabbity Bunny, and much, much more, enjoy! The post #332: Cancel OUR Culture appeared first on Super Hero Speak.
This time around Richard Rivera, the writer of Stabbity Bunny, returns to the CBB cave to discuss his upcoming special stand-alone one shot! Not only is this the newest chapter of the original Stabbity Bunny saga, at the core of this story is the relationship between Stabbity cast members Emmet and Wally and the heartbreaking consequences of a hate crime. Listen in as Steve and Billy Z have Richard take us through what we can vouch for is a very special, emotional comic book! STABBITY BUNNY: EMMETS STORY #1 from Scout Comics will be in shops in December and you can pre-order it through the end of October. The Diamond order number is OCT192062.

It’s another great double-header weekend, this time in Episode 339! First up is the return of Richard Rivera, creator of Stabbity Bunny, who has new issues coming soon! We talk about what we might expect in issue #7 and beyond! We also look at the return of several of Richard’s characters from another series, and talk about Shadow Play, coming in January! Busy guy! For more on the series, check out his website and the Scout Comics online store! Then everything wraps up with Sylvester Edmonds, who brought together his Indie series Realm of Spirits: Birth of a Living Storm. This book explores situations related to the Biblical story of Moses. We discuss the characters and what else we might expect from him in the near future! For more, read this article on the book!
STABBITY BUNNY went from Kickstarter to indie publisher without losing a creepy step. THE LONG REACH on PS4 is simultaneously gory and pixelated... "gorpilated", if you will. ANNIHILATION is everything Predator, Tomb Raider, and The Descent did better. JESSICA JONES season 2 shows us old habits never die, they just return when a dead horse needs beating.

Hey Smashers and Grabbers! It is with an irritated heart that I have to tell you that I lost the original episode that JP and I recorded last night. This is a short recap of what we talked about. I wasn't able to get back together with John in time to put out another episode with the two of us. New comics tomorrow and all. Then the cycle starts all over again! Side note; I may have referred to Stabbity Bunny as Stabbity Rabbit in the episode. Just go with it, I'm a bit stressed today. Anyway, on the lost show we covered Death of Love #1, Xena #1, Cold War #1, and Stabbity Bunny #2. On this recording I couldn't remember what JP had read so I did a quick recap of Death of Love, Stabbity Bunny, Baby Teeth, and Baby Badass. (Lots of baby titles. Weird.) Anyhole, enjoy what I cobbled together!

Welcome to a very magic themed episode of Canned Air! We are first joined by Richard Rivera of Stabbity Bunny and James Haick of Scout Comics to help us recall some of our favorite fictional magicians in this week’s Retro Roundtable. With so many different types of magic strewn across pop culture, this was a deep well to take from. From Dr. Fate to Mary Poppins, see if we name one of your favorite! We welcome creator Richard Rivera back to the show this week to get some updates on one of our favorite comics, 'Stability Bunny'. Stabbity Bunny focuses of Grace Lee, a seven-year-old girl destined for incredible things, and Stabbity Bunny, a plush rabbit that has been passed down within the family for nearly 100 years. We find our heroes in peril, and as the story progresses, it quickly turns from dangerous to deadly. We glimpse clues that the Lee family has startling secrets, and Stabbity may be much more than he seems. An evil scheme that has been underway for hundreds of years is moving into its final stages. Grace is targeted, and it will take all her bravery, kindness and smarts to survive. Fortunately, she has Stabbity and a host of unlikely heroes who will set aside their hedge clippers and cookbooks to prove everyday people still matter, even in a modern world filled with impossible choices. Watch for the Stabbity Bunny Trade Kickstarter, starting October 3. In this weeks 'Retro Roundtable' we roast the worst of the worst in comic movies. Does a certain comic based movie come to mind for you? Then come on in and we'll obliterate it together!
