Jaz Graf's recent body of work juxtaposes synthetic and raw materials, the virtual gaze with organic imprints, and satellite imagery with dust. It sets in motion, a contemporary discourse around intergenerational memory and cultural preservation. Linda Graf forscht in der Entertainment Computing Group der Universität Duisburg-Essen zu emotionalen virtuellen Charakteren (EVC) und möchte mit menschzentriertem Design und Wissen aus spielerischen Kontexten einen Mehrwert außerhalb von Games erreichen – etwa bei der Vorbereitung von Kindern auf das MRT in Bezug auf Angstvorbeugung, beim Lernen mit dem eigenen Körper oder beim Üben von Diagnosegesprächen mit virtuellen Patient:innen. Sagan er talin byggð á raunverulegum atburðum sem og upplifunum Halldórs sjálfs þegar hann sigldi ungur til Kaupmannahafnar. Sögumaður verksins er fjarlægur persónunum, samtöl og senur eru fáar og lesandi þarf sífellt að vera að púsla atburðunum saman í gegnum óbeinar upplýsingar héðan og þaðan svo erfitt er að ákveða hverju maður trúir og hverju ekki. Samlesari klúbbsins að þessu sinni er Elínborg Una Einarsdóttir, blaðamaður hjá Morgunblaðinu, sviðshöfundur og samfélagsrýnir. En síðasta haust birti hún grein í Morgunblaðinu með titilinn „Laxness hverfur úr skólum landsins“ og olli hún nokkru fjaðrafoki í samfélaginu og átti sinn þátt í að kveikja á þessum bókaklúbbi. Bókaklúbburinn Aldrei las ég Laxness hefur það markmið að lesa allar skáldsögur Halldórs Kiljan Laxness í tímaröð. Klúbburinn er hugsaður fyrir þau sem hafa lítið kynnt sér Laxness, þau sem hafa jafnvel aldrei lesið hann, eða bara krukkað í þessari gamalkunnu menntaskólaskyldu, eða öll þau sem hafa áhuga á skáldskap Kiljans. Bereits im Kindesalter stand sie erstmals auf der Bühne, später folgte eine fundierte Ausbildung an einer Jugendtheaterschule. Bekannt wurde Isabella Schmid einem breiten Publikum durch Hauptrollen in erfolgreichen Fernsehserien im deutschsprachigen Raum, darunter „Hinter Gittern – Der Frauenknast“, „Das Amt“ und „Lena – Liebe meines Lebens“. Auch im Kino feierte sie Erfolge, unter anderem als Mama Moll in der Verfilmung des Schweizer Kinderbuchklassikers „Papa Moll“. Es trägt den Titel "Unpredictable Weather" und erzählt die turbulente Lebensgeschichte von Graf Felix "Wette" Schaffgotsche. Der Autor hatte Zugriff auf das Familienarchiv und er legt ein Buch vor, dass nichts unausgesprochen lässt. Der Album Verlag bring einmal mehr ein Buch heraus, dass diese, unsere Welt reicher macht. Es wäre ewig schade, wenn es nicht auf dieser Welt wäre. Geschrieben hat es Michael Huey auf Englisch, seiner Muttersprache. Die Primärquellen verleihen dem Buch eine Note des Autobiographischen. Über diesen Spagat sprechen wir im Gespräch ebenso ausgiebig, wie über alles andere. So ist die Überlänge zu erklären. Aber manchmal dauert es eben länger, weil es so sein muss! Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have won all the big titles of 2026, but have yet to play a match this season. The first time they do, it could be for the World No.1 ranking.Since Alcaraz is defending his title at Monte Carlo and Sinner has not played there last year, Alcaraz needs to win the tournament to make sure he'll keep his title for at least another couple of weeks. If not, a Sinner title brings the top position back to the Italian.But also, we just NEED them to play each other. It's been just waaaay too long! They can't be trading the No.1 ranking by simply not playing tournaments or losing early to someone else. It's got to be decided on the court, as they trade blows in front of a massive crowd cheering for every point.On other news, João Fonseca is not in collision route against the Top 2 players this time, but he will have other challenges ahead. Maybe he can play Medvedev this time. If he makes it to the SF, he could face Zverev - who has reached the last four stage at every big tournament this season, and really only loses to Alcaraz and Sinner, though not particularly close to beating any one of them. But he's there, waiting. Anyway, Fonseca will need to get used to playing and beating any player in front of him, not just Sinner and Alcaraz, if he wants to realize the hype that's been following him for a couple years now.Over to the WTA side, where there are 10 1000 events and only two of these are on clay, I ask: why not a third one? And I think the perfect candidate for that is a tournament now far away from its glory days where players of the caliber of Graf, Hingis, Venus Williams, Nadal, and Federer competed for its trophy.Down to an ATP 500 tournament and a 250 event in the WTA calendar, this major city in Germany checks all the boxes to holding a 1000 event on its clay courts. And the calendar spot seems wide open, concurrent with Monte Carlo. The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has just launched a 20-city U.S. tour under its new artistic director Alicia Graf Mack. She's a renowned former Ailey dancer herself and an educator who is now fusing those roles to lead the modern dance troupe which started in 1958.
