Whether you're just getting started or have been schooling for a while, there are a few basic things to know that might make your life easier. When I started homeschooling, I was lucky enough to have done enough reading and non-traditional learning so I knew that the "school-at-home" model wasn't what we wanted. That helped. However, I started out expecting that I'd be able to make perfect plans and schedules and keep exactly on track every year. As you might guess, that was — well, let's just say that it was overly optimistic. Here are a few of the things I wish I'd known — I hope they help you! What Managers Should Always Remember About Their People One of the shortcomings of modern accounting systems is that they have no mechanism for showing the capability and dedication of your workforce as an asset on a balance sheet. Workers appear only as liabilities: payrolls due, cost of benefits, Social Security obligations, etc. Yet workers are the manager's most valuable asset. That's one of seven things that I feature in this podcast about the relationship between managers and workers. Seven things which should always be front-of-mind for anyone in a managerial position. YOU - The Master Entrepreneur - A Guide to True Greatness with Stan Hustad
This is a blast from the past and it is not a political point of View for you. Eight years ago when I heard that Donald Trump was gonna run for president, I was curious about him because I knew something about him but not very much. So I went out and studied him and bought a number of his books to find out about him. And I discovered that whether you would like him or not hate him or love him that he had a number of very good ideas and some helpful things that would possibly be useful to you and me as we are trying to build our business ... And I got a gig from a training company to put some of those things together and they did their deal about 8 years ago. Well I happen to find some of those deep in the archives and brought them out and thought well they might be kind of useful and fun to look at now and so that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to try to remember what I learned and share it with you. I hope it's helpful to you and as I said this is not based on any particularly political point of view. I'm not a partisan at this point just an observer. And I've always thought that the good and thoughtful person is always open to learning from every situation that they have in life and that you might even learn something from everybody including those you may not like.
What is something you hate? In the Bible, Proverbs 6 lists seven things that God hates. Our desire is to become more like God, and we should learn to hate the same things He hates. In part one of this sermon, we are going to review and discuss the first three things that God hates.
