It seems that now, possibly more than ever, the world is pressing hard for us all to believe that truth is always subjective. The appeal, at least in part, is that if I personally believe something to be true and can get more people to agree with me than you can, then I get what I want because “my truth" is greater than "your truth". Now, to be fair, there are likely some things that hold true for my family that other families don't hold to. For example, it's true that everyone at our house has to eat their vegetables if they want any chance at some kind of dessert…. HOWEVER... that doesn't seem to be a truth held at a grandparent's household. In this way, one could argue that some truths aren't to be held so tightly. However, as we get into the books of 2 and 3 John, we're asking what it is to hold to divine truth, truths sourced in the very nature and authority of Jesus Himself, and what it looks like to hold to these truths. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Scottish man arrested for hate speech about pro-life politician's murder A 50-year-old man, pretending to be a woman, who works at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, publicly celebrated the murder of former British Member of Parliament Ann Widdecombe, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Herbert, an Aberdeen web developer, who prefers to be called “Heather,” wrote, “Some good news for once. I hope it was an extremely painful death” and “I hope she was handcuffed to the bed as she screamed in agony.” Widdecombe, a pro-life advocate, served in the Parliament from 1987 to 2010. She endeared herself to Britons with her surprisingly popular appearances on the television shows Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother.  Herbert has now been charged for his bizarre hate speech as the investigation into her murder continues. Some have raised speculation that the arrest might be due less to Herbert's hate speech and more to do with what, if any, inside knowledge he might have about her murder. Widdecombe is the second murder of a high-profile pro-life politician in England this decade. Sir David Amess, who was a Member of Parliament for 38 years and Widdecombe's friend, was murdered at a local event in 2021 by Islamist Ali Harbi Ali. Arizona Senator admits to two extra-marital affairs U.S. Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona, a married man and a potential 2028 presidential candidate, engaged in sexual relationships with at least two House staffers, reports the New York Post. The 46-year-old lawmaker admitted to the two extramarital affairs. In Exodus 20:14, God gave Moses the seventh of the Ten Commandments: “You shall not commit adultery.” Man, who spewed racial epithet, charged black NBC Today co-host Andrew Truelove allegedly stormed NBC's "Today" show at 9:00am Eastern on July 16th, lunged at anchor Craig Melvin, a black man, and called him the N-word, reports NBC News. He is now facing a slew of hate crime charges. Truelove, who is white and was unarmed, had entered a stairwell and made his way backstage near the dressing room. The staff and security rushed in -- and the intruder was ultimately detained and arrested. The incident was not captured during the broadcast. Nobody was hurt. Roughly 15 minutes afterwards, both Craig Melvin and Al Roker were on air. Neither hinted at the drama. AG nominee open to roll back Biden's mail-order Abortion Kill Pill During his confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on July 15th, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche faced a range of questions from Republicans regarding the Abortion Kill Pill mifepristone, reports The Washington Stand. Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri asked about the Trump administration's perspective. HAWLEY: “Joe Biden took away President Trump's safety restrictions on this chemical abortion drug. He instituted a mail order abortion policy. So, my state went to court to try to defend our state's laws. A number of other states, Republican states, did this. And of course, in the meantime, the president changed, thank goodness. And now we have President Trump. “But that means that that now we have the state of Missouri, a Republican state, along with a number of other conservative Republican states, are in court against a Republican administration, fighting over Joe Biden's abortion policy.” BLANCHE: “I share your concerns, as does this entire administration. We have the most pro-life president in history, and you are one of the most pro-life senators in this body. “We are not defending what Biden did, and will not. The FDA has a process that takes a year. They've committed to do it in significantly less time than a year. President Trump's administration, in its entirety, will protect the life of the unborn.” HAWLEY: “Presumably, you have no issue with President Trump's earlier rule, which had common sense safety restrictions. You had to see a doctor, get a prescription. There had to be a follow-up visit to see if there was any hemorrhaging. Those were in place before Biden gutted them. “Presumably, there's no issue with any of those.” BLANCHE: “I anticipate the Department [of Justice] would defend those rules.” HAWLEY: “Why not, while the FDA is doing its review, why not put President Trump's rules in place? They're good rules. Why not do that rather than leave in place these rules?” BLANCHE: “We want to get to a good result, consistent with President Trump's administrative directive and priorities. And we very much believe that the Biden rules were wrong.” Psalm 127:3 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” Senator Cruz: Comstock Act should prohibit Abortion Pill by mail And Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas also addressed the Abortion Kill Pill with Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche. CRUZ: “The Comstock Act provides that every article or thing designed or adapted or intended for producing abortion is declared to be non-mailable. I have to admit that statutory text to me looks quite straightforward. It is not subtle. It is not difficult. It is straightforward. “As you know, during the Biden administration, the Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion concluding that those provisions generally do not prohibit mailing abortion drugs unless the sender intends them to be used unlawfully. Is that right?” BLANCHE: “Yes, that's correct.” CRUZ: “Now, [the] Office of Legal Counsel's opinions may be reconsidered when the Attorney General concludes they are inconsistent with the law. Is that right?” BLANCHE: “That is right.” CRUZ: “Will you commit to carefully reviewing that opinion to ensure that it faithfully reflects the actual statutory text that Congress enacted?” BLANCHE: “Yes.” CRUZ: “Will you commit that the Department [of Justice] will carefully evaluate every lawful action available to ensure the faithful enforcement of the Comstock Act and other federal pro-life acts?” BLANCHE: “Yes.” CRUZ: “I want to point out the real consequences of the Biden administration's lawless authorization of mail-order abortions. According to FDA reporting, the abortion pill has taken more than 3.7 million unborn lives, caused 24 maternal deaths -- moms are being killed -- and resulted in at least 4,195 adverse maternal reactions, including hemorrhage, excruciating abdominal pain, and severe, life-threatening infections. “The position of the Democrats now seems to be that women and teenage girls should be able to get mail-order abortions without a doctor being involved at all. And I will tell you, the death toll from that is horrific, and it needs to stop.” Once Blanche is voted out of the Judiciary Committee, he will need 51 votes of the 100 senators to be confirmed as President Trump's next U.S. Attorney General. Focus on the Family president Jim Daly to step down Nearly two decades after taking the helm of Focus on the Family following the departure of its founder, Jim Daly is preparing to hand the ministry to a new generation, reports The Christian Post. The president of one of America's most influential Evangelical groups announced this week that Focus has officially launched a nationwide search for its next leader, marking the beginning of what is expected to be an 18-month succession process ahead of the ministry's 50th anniversary in 2027. Unlike many recent leadership transitions in prominent Christian groups, this one is not being driven by scandal or internal upheaval. Rather, Focus on the Family is intentionally choosing to transition while it's healthy. Jim Daly said, "My core belief was it's good to get new faces, new energy, younger leadership in to speak to the 30-, 40-somethings about what they're facing with marriage and parenting. I'm going to be turning 65. It's time to start looking for the next-gen leadership. That's really the goal, and to do it well is the other goal." The search, being conducted with executive search firm FaithSearch Partners, will culminate in a vote by Focus' board of directors. Founded in 1977 by Christian psychologist and author Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family grew from a fledgling radio ministry into one of the most recognizable voices in American evangelicalism. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Rising anti-Christian incidents in Israel Anti-Christian incidents are surging in Israel this year. A report from the Religious Freedom Data Centre found there were 83 incidents of harassment during the second quarter of 2026. That's up from 44 incidents during the first quarter.  These incidents include spitting, verbal assault, threatening behavior, and physical assault. The report noted, “In recent years, these acts have increasingly taken place openly, in broad daylight.” In John 15:18, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.” Hamas dissolved Gaza government The Islamic Resistance Movement, known as Hamas, announced the dissolution of its government in Gaza on Monday. The Islamic militant group took control of the Palestinian territory in 2007. In 2023, it led an attack on Israel. Since then, Israel and Hamas have been at war. The Trump administration has been working on a peace plan to end the conflict over the past year. Hamas is now preparing to transfer power to a committee backed by the United States.  Fewer Americans support Israel Support for Israel is declining in America. The data comes from a new Associated Press-National Opinion Research Center poll.  Forty-percent of U.S. adults say America is too supportive of Israel's conflict with the Palestinians. That's up from 37% in 2024. Along party lines, 60 percent of Republicans say the U.S. shows the right amount of support for Israel. That's up from 33 percent in 2024. Meanwhile, 58 percent of Democrats say the U.S. supports Israel too much. That's up from 45 percent in 2024. Trump: “Our founders were great, our cause was just.” U.S. President Donald Trump gave his Independence Day speech at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. last week.  President Trump celebrated America's unique freedoms on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. He said, “Unlike so many others in the world, in this country we have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equal justice under the law.” Listen to more of his comments.  TRUMP: “We have thrived and flourished because our founders were great, our cause was just, our people are brave, our culture is exceptional, and our destiny is written by God. (applause) “And, as we can see here tonight, after 250 years, the spirit of 1776 still lives within us all. At 250 years old, we may be the oldest constitutional republic on Earth, but our country is just getting started, because the best is yet to come.” (applause) Psalm 67:3-4 says, “Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on Earth.” South Carolina prohibits bank discrimination against Christians The state of South Carolina will prevent banks from discriminating against people on the basis of their beliefs.  Republican Governor Henry McMaster signed the Guarantee Banking Act last week. The measure prohibits large financial institutions in the state from denying financial services to people over their religious or political beliefs.  Matt Sharp with Alliance Defending Freedom commented, “By enacting this bill, South Carolina joins Tennessee and Idaho in leading the charge to protect citizens, non-profits, religious organizations, and businesses from discriminatory debanking.” U.S. stock market surged The U.S. stock market surged during the first half of 2026. Markets grew despite war in the Middle East and oil shortages.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 8.9 percent this year. That's its best growth during the first half of a year since 2021. The S&P 500 climbed 9.4 percent this year, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq grew 12.5 percent.  Britain discovered rare copy of Declaration of Independence PBS reports on a rare copy of the Declaration of Independence that was discovered in the United Kingdom this year.  A volunteer at the country's National Archives was cataloguing the papers of Royal Navy captains from the American War for Independence. That's when volunteer Michael Scurr found the rare copy of the Declaration. It was one of 11 copies printed in Exeter, New Hampshire in July 1776. The copy was later seized by the British Royal Navy on Christmas Eve of the same year. It remained buried in archives until this February. It's Monday, July 6th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Christian pastor, father of 16, needs your help As you know, Nigeria has become the epicenter of Christian martyrdom in the world. In the initial 96 days of 2026, from January 1 to April 6, Muslims killed 1,402 Nigerian Christians. Shockingly, that represents 72% of Christians killed worldwide.  In 2025, 3,490 Nigerian Christians were martyred.  A total of 52,000 brothers and sisters in Christ have lost their lives in the last decade.  Plus, Nigeria has been going through severe economic challenges as well, most of which are due to the country's 30% inflation rate.  Some Worldview listeners here in America are trying to help Nigerian Pastor G, a man they know personally and the father of 14 children, move to the United Kingdom for their safety and a better economic opportunity. Currently, his family lives in a small, one bedroom/one bath apartment with no kitchen. They use a small hallway as the place to prepare food. The family has three sets of triple bunk beds jammed in the bedroom, family room, and hallway. In addition, the power outages are frequent in Nigeria, which means that there's little to no air circulation in their tiny apartment.  Through a GoFundMe page, these American friends are helping raise the money needed to pay for a larger 3-bedroom apartment where the family of 16 can reside while they're gathering their required documents and visas. Other expenses include the air fare for the family and the initial three months of living expenses in the United Kingdom until the working-aged family members find jobs. Galatians 6:2 says, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." We have them all linked in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.  U.S. and Iran enter technical talks to secure peace deal The U.S. and Iran held technical talks in Doha, Qatar on July 1st as they seek to agree on the flow of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and secure a lasting ceasefire, reports Reuters. The talks are based on a 14-point interim accord signed last month that was meant to halt the war that began with U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran in February and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, whilst setting up 60 days of negotiations for a permanent peace deal. However, the U.S. and Iran have sparred publicly over the meaning of the interim pact, leading to military strikes over the past week.  Iran is determined to win international recognition of its control over the strait and its ability to levy fees on ships entering or leaving the Persian Gulf even if it has to do so by force. Traffic has partially resumed through the strait, which handled one-fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas trade before the war. Iran has stated publicly that its priorities include agreeing on management of the Strait of Hormuz and the release of $6 billion in Iranian frozen assets. The current round of discussions would focus on those two issues. The stated priority of the U.S. is to ensure the free flow of traffic through the strait. President Donald Trump faces political pressure to contain the economic fallout from the war with Iran before midterm elections in November that will determine control of the U.S. Congress. In Iran, the theocratic leadership survived the war, but faces domestic anger over a shattered economy. Oil prices, which dipped sharply in the second quarter of the year, fell more than 1% on July 1st. The interim deal between the U.S. and Iran also provides for an end to a parallel conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon. House passes online protections to shield children from porn The House successfully passed its internet safety package for children while the Senate continues to stall, reports The Daily Signal.   The Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act includes a key amendment that would protect children from viewing sexual content online, a statistic that continues to grow. Republican Congresswoman Mary Miller of Illinois, a mother of seven, who attends Oakland Christian Church with her husband Illinois GOP State Representative Chris Miller, sponsored the KIDS Act.  It combines 14 digital safety bills, including a key age-verification amendment. The Shielding Children's Retinas from Egregious Exposure on the Net Act would require platforms to use technology verification tools to ensure the accuracy of age verification to prevent minors from accessing sexual material. Congresswoman Miller said, “Sadly, the average age that our children are accessing pornography on the internet is 11, and by the time our children turn 18, 80% of them have access to pornography. Parents are doing their best, but the truth is, with a few clicks of a button, kids can access this filth. Research shows that it causes anxiety, depression, and risky sexual behavior. It's a rot to the soul of our children.” Congresswoman Miller added, “We require age identification for children to access other things like tobacco, alcohol, firearms, casinos, and any kind of adult entertainment. You have to prove your age. So, that's all this bill does. It requires the pornography companies to make the user prove their age.”  The KIDS Act has been sent to the Senate. Call your 2 U.S. Senators at 202-224-3121 and ask them to vote for the KIDS Act to protect children from pornography. Idaho: First state to institute firing squad for execution Idaho became the first state to institute a firing squad as the primary execution method for death row inmates, reports One America News. The change went into effect on July 1st  after the state legislature passed the law in 2025. However, lethal injection remains an alternative method. Martyrdom of Czech reformer Jan Hus in 1415 Six hundred eleven years ago today, on July 6th, 1415, Jan Hus, a Czech theologian and reformer, was burned at the stake in Constance, Germany for so-called “heresy.”  Hus denounced the moral failings of Catholic clergy, bishops, and even the papacy from his pulpit. He also objected to the Catholic teaching of indulgences, a financial gift to the church that would somehow shorten a dead Catholic's time in purgatory, a place nowhere substantiated in Scripture. I am always intrigued by people who can't seem to color inside the lines. Most of us are law-abiding citizens. We might get a traffic ticket occasionally or march in protest against a law or action we think is wrong, but we usually play by the rules. Then there are those who skirt the law at every opportunity. The worst of these are sociopaths, and I've written about several who were serial killers. John Martin III committed at least one despicable crime, but most of the time, he just seemed to follow a difficult path through life, doing things many of us would describe as “crazy.” He likely had a mental illness, and I doubt many were surprised when he met with a violent end. This week we had the exciting opportunity to travel to Anchorage, Alaska, to participate in the Fifth Annual Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference. The conference convenes researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors to discuss the future of energy development, infrastructure, technology, and resource leadership across Alaska and the broader global energy landscape. We had the honor of moderating a discussion featuring Governor Mike Dunleavy and Chairman of the National Energy Dominance Council and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. Given Alaska's strategic importance across energy, critical minerals, infrastructure, and geopolitics, it was a fascinating and timely discussion. In our conversation, Governor Dunleavy emphasizes the dramatically improved partnership between the federal government and the State of Alaska under the current Administration, contrasting it with prior years when Alaska faced significant federal restrictions on development. Drawing on their experiences leading major energy-producing states, Governor Dunleavy and Secretary Burgum reflect on the operational, economic, and political realities of energy development and infrastructure investment. They walk us through renewed lease sale activity, rising investor interest in Alaska, and the broader role Alaska could play in supporting U.S. energy dominance and Western Hemisphere energy security. His first job was working in a logging camp in Southeast Alaska. Later on, Governor Dunleavy earned his teacher's certificate, and then a Master of Education degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He spent nearly two decades in northwest Arctic communities working as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. Governor Dunleavy and his family moved to Wasilla in 2004, where he owned an educational consulting firm and worked on several statewide education projects. Dunleavy served on the Mat-Su Borough School Board, with two years as Board President, and then as a state senator for five years. Dunleavy was first elected Governor in 2018 and then again in 2022. Governor Dunleavy has kept the health of the economy and jobs at the forefront of his Administration's policy setting initiatives and has been a true champion for the Alaskan business community. Governor Dunleavy's wife Rose is from the Kobuk River Valley community of Noorvik. Together, they have three children who were raised in both rural and urban Alaska. Governor Dunleavy is focused on moving Alaska forward and believes that our greatest years are yet to come if we work together to maximize our potential. About Secretary Doug BurgumDoug Burgum is the 55th Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior. Raised in Arthur, North Dakota, Burgum worked as a chimney sweep to help pay his way through North Dakota State University before earning an MBA from Stanford University. In 1983, Doug literally “bet the farm” to provide seed capital for a software startup called Great Plains. Doug led Great Plains through a successful IPO and grew the company to over 2,000 employees before its acquisition by Microsoft. Burgum remained with Microsoft for six years as the Senior Vice President of Business Solutions. Doug later co-founded Arthur Ventures and served as chairman for international software companies including Atlassian, SuccessFactors, and as a board member for Avalara. In 2016, Burgum was elected to serve as North Dakota's 33rd Governor. In 2020, he was re-elected in a landslide. Under his leadership, North Dakota passed the largest tax cut in state history and dramatically reduced red tape. As a testament to Burgum's leadership, Forbes named him “America's Best Entrepreneurial Governor.” During his tenure, North Dakota experienced the highest growth in real GDP and had the lowest unemployment rate in the country. Burgum has three adult children. Air Force One touched down in Anchorage Tuesday evening, bringing President Donald Trump to Alaska for a brief refueling stop at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport before he continues on to China for a summit with President Xi Jinping. Alaska lawmakers are sounding an alarm with days left in the legislative session: the state is heading toward an energy crisis they can’t stop, and they need Washington’s help. The prosecution has dismissed the remaining charge against a Wasilla teen in the fatal April shooting of their best friend, according to court records — one day after a grand jury declined to indict the 17-year-old on a series of felony charges, including manslaughter.

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that happened during a party in Wasilla. The two-month long strike involving school bus drivers in the Matanuska Valley is finally over, according to the Teamsters Local 959 union. The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce is organizing a citywide cleanup through the end of May. The annual event, now in its 59th year, kicks off Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Westchester Lagoon.

In this episode of the Crack House Chronicles True Crime Podcast Donnie and Dale take a trip to Alaska and discuss the missing Palmer Brothers. The Palmer Brothers, Mike and Chucky vanished in Alaska 11 years apart, creating a haunting, unsolved mystery. Michael (15) disappeared on June 4, 1999, while biking in Wasilla. In 2010, Chucky disappeared in the Talkeetna Mountains while snowmobiling. I don't know if you had any heroes growing up, but I did, and I'll never forget the day I watched his reputation go down the drain…literally!  I was six years old and we had just moved to Oklahoma. We were staying at a local hotel, and my sister and I had gotten into a fight (Most certainly her fault). The next thing I knew, she had taken my Spider-Man action figure, ran to the bathroom, thrown him in the toilet and flushed him. I arrived in the bathroom just in time to see him swirl down the drain. I was shocked and devastated not only that my sister had done this, but that Spider-Man was apparently incapable of rescuing himself. He had been beaten by a toilet bowl! But in all seriousness, the Hebrews have some major heroes that they look back at in awe and wonder. The problem is this, from a biblical perspective, there is only one hero of the story. And in case you haven't figured it out at this point in our series, Jesus is a better hero! A Lake Superior tribe wants a court to halt construction of a Canadian energy firm’s $450 million plan to reroute an oil and gas pipeline around its reservation in northern Wisconsin. As Danielle Kaeding reports, the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa asked a court last week to review a decision that upheld state permits for Enbridge’s Line 5 relocation project. The Bad River tribe is challenging a recent decision by an administrative law judge that upheld wetlands and stormwater construction permits for Enbridge’s Line 5 reroute. Attorneys representing the tribe also filed a motion to put construction on hold until an Iron County judge hears their case. The tribe's chair, Elizabeth Arbuckle, said in a statement that the Bad River watershed is not an oil pipeline corridor, and the tribe must protect its homeland. An Enbridge spokesperson said it would be unreasonable to halt construction following the judge’s decision and years of state review. Enbridge has said state permits contain extensive environmental protections and restoration plans. The company says construction would not cause significant harm to water quality or wetlands. The Bad River tribe disputes that. The project would involve blasting and drilling to install the pipeline. The Line 5 reroute would cross close to 200 waterways and more than 100 acres of wetlands. Enbridge has said it would create 700 jobs during construction. A new webinar series is helping Indigenous communities adapt. For the Mountain West News Bureau, Daniel Spaulding has more. Across the region, snowpack is below average heading into spring runoff. That has major implications for tribal producers who rely on snowmelt for irrigation, livestock, and traditional foods. The Native Resilience Project is a four-year effort to build resilience in tribal agriculture. This year, the project evolved to address the ongoing snow drought. Dr. Kyle Bocinsky is a partner on the project and the Director of Climate Extension at the Montana Climate Office. “It’s going to be variable across communities, but I think the biggest takeaway is just that what we’re seeing right now is, at least for the last 25 years, a historically low snowpack situation. And it’s going to tax a lot of our systems.” The webinars cover snow conditions, drought assistance programs, drought planning, and new pathways for tribes to directly request federal disaster declarations. (Courtesy Hannah Bissett) An Alaska Native family from Wasilla is sheltering in place outside Puerto Vallarta. Rhonda McBride from our flagship station KNBA has more. The family became stranded along with about 500 other tourists at their resort, after the Mexican military killed a notorious drug lord known as “El Mencho”. Other cartel members died and a wave of violence followed. Suspected cartel members torched businesses, buses, and cars in retaliation for the killings. Hannah Bissett says she and her mother, grandmother, ten-year-old brother, and a family friend had just arrived in Mexico. “We had like a half a day of normalcy, and as we were going to bed, things started turning upside down and got pretty intense pretty quickly.” Bissett said she and her family have not left their resort. All the stores around them, along with the hotel's restaurants, are closed. “Assuming things are closed, still, like the major grocery stores nearby, or even the local markets, in the next three or four days, we're gonna run out of food.” Bissett says the resort has been serving an evening buffet meal once a day. Overall, Bissett says she and her family are staying calm yet vigilant – encouraged that traffic seems to be moving again. Bissett says she received a personal phone call from U.S. Rep. Nick Begich (R-AK) and calls from the offices of U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan. All said they are ready to assist if necessary.
