Jesus' mission to make disciples of all nations is also our mission. Every Christian has a personal responsibility to make disciples. Where should you begin?
GOD DELUSION SLIDES wk. 4 God is a good Creator and He loves His creation.“1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:2 “Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.” Job 38:1-4The BIGOT myth“WHY WOULD A LOVING GOD TELL PEOPLE WHO THEY ARE REGARDLESS OF THEIR FEELINGS?”#1 For God to tell people who they are is in conflict or contradiction with Him being loving #2 Who he would tell you to be is not in agreement with how you feel #3 By “denying” your feelings he does not care for you and is not the loving God he claims to be #4 Feelings are the same as truth. So, in essence it is your truth being deniedGod is a good Creator who does in fact love his creation“3For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject truth and chase after myths.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 NLT“The death of truth in our society has created a moral decay in which every debate ends with the barroom question, ‘says who?'”-Gregory KovelThe truth Christianity asserts:Humanity was created in God's image by GodOur bodies are the temple of God“1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:2 “Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone…. 8 Or who shut in the sea with doors….10 When I fixed My limit for it, and set bars and doors; 11 When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!' 12 Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place…. 19 Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness where is its place,20 that you may take it to its territory, that you may know the paths to its home. 21 Do you know it because you were born then, or because the number of your days is great? .....25Who has divided a channel for the overflowing water, or a path for the thunderbolt…. 36 Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart?.... 39 Can you hunt the prey for the lion….41 Who provides food for the raven, when its young ones cry to God, and wander about for lack of food?” Job 38:1-41NKJV“Do you still want to argue with the Almighty? You are God's critic, but do you have the answers?” Job 40:2 NLTWhen truth is led by feeling, the creation begins to argue with the Creator“So, God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27“3 Then Job answered the LORD and said: 4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer You? I lay my hand over my mouth. 5 Once I have spoken, but I will not answer; yes twice, but I will proceed no further.” Job 40:3-5 NKJV“8 Would you indeed annul My judgement? Would you condemn Me that you may be justified?” Job 40:8 NKJV“9 What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you're doing it wrong!' Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?' 10 How terrible it would be if a newborn baby said to its father, ‘Why was I born?' or if it said to its mother, ‘Why did you make me this way?'11 This is what the LORD says-the Holy One of Isreal and your Creator: ‘Do you question what I do for my children? Do you give me orders about the work of my hands? 12 I am the one who made the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands I stretched out the heavens. All the stars at my command.” Isaiah 45:9-12 NLT#1 God is Creator. We are created “When we reject God as creator, we reject the God of the Bible and serve a God of our own imagination.”- David Guzik #2 He is a good CreatorThe familiar satanic lie: God's withholding from you (Gen 3:1) What God said, that's not really the truth (Gen 3:4) God just is keeping you down from being who you were meant to be (Gen 3:5)“God comes not to answer. God comes as the answer.”- Jon Courson It returns created to Creator He says: “I am the potter; you are the clay” Isaiah 64:8 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5 “ ‘For I know the plans I have for you', says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'” Jeremiah 29:11God is a good Creator who loves his creation
Even if you're not a Christian, you probably have a picture in your mind of who Jesus is. For most people, it's someone unwaveringly kind, caring, and gentle. And for the most part, they're right. But if you read through the Gospels, you'll inevitably come across instances that upset your expectations. Jesus said and did things that almost seem out-of-character; moments where He comes across as mean, dismissive, and even aggressive. At times He's flat-out SAVAGE. So what's really going on here? Are we misreading these stories, or have we misjudged Jesus? Who was He really and why did He do the things He did?

Send us a textThis week we're talking all about coming out with ADHD!!!! From telling family and friends, to navigating awkward work conversations, to imagining how we'd handle it if we started brand new jobs Plus "What We ADHD'd This Week” someone might be adding a very tiny, very furry new family member
My guest today is Iris Goldfeder, founder of Gas Stove Creative. Iris and I are two out-of-sync New Yorkers who somehow ended up in Indiana, crossing paths in the small business community for years. But today, instead of swapping stories about pizza and city life, we're talking about something every business owner faces at some point: the growing pains of change. Iris recently had a lightbulb moment—she'd evolved her business, but she'd forgotten to tell people! So while she had moved on to working with established companies, her network was still sending her the startups she used to serve. This realization kicked off a strategic shift, one that every business owner can learn from. How do you reposition yourself without alienating past clients? How do you make sure people know what you do now? And how do you avoid pricing conversations that make you want to bang your head against the wall? Communicate Changes Early & Often: Don't assume people know your business has evolved. Proactively update referral partners, past clients, and your online audience. Use Video & Social Media: A simple video post explaining your shift can go a long way in reshaping how people think of your brand. Create Structured Packages: Offering clear service levels makes it easier for clients and referral sources to understand where they fit. Be Confident in Your Value: If a potential client balks at your pricing, they may not be the right fit. Stick to your worth and don't be afraid to refer out. Learn From Every Experience: If you learn something, it's not a mistake—it's a lesson. And next time you shift, you'll know to start the conversation sooner!

Never Tell People What You Do | Jim Rohn
In this episode, Dave and Jamison answer these questions: Stefan Help! Most of the time people ask questions about issues that already happened. I however, would like to prevent one. I am a young Tech Lead and really love my responsibilities, team and especially my manager. With the help of your podcast I could even resolve my last issue regarding compensation. Of course I dutifully did my part and reallocated some of my payment increase to finance Jamisons yacht. My very awesome manager “Bob” is so great that he has to manage 4 teams. Naturally, because Bob and those 4 teams are doing great, Bob gets rewarded with even more work. In his “free time” Bob is a parent of two teenagers which is also not necessarily known for being a stress free environment. Lately I noticed that Bob is more stressed than usual. Bob told me that he wakes up in the middle of the night because he remembers missed TODOs in the job. I also see this change in his body language and general demeanour. Now that a very critical project is coming up, Bob, as the go to person for more work has to allocate a significant time of his day to support this project. I fear that Bob is on a path to burnout and this new project might be the last drop. I would really hate to get a different manager. Statistics claim it will probably be worse… Also I really wish for Bob to be well and health, too. ;) How can I help Bob in his situation? How do I address those concerns with him without looking condescending? We have a good and open but not close relationship, that I would not like to ruin by overstepping my bounds. Thank you very much. I love the podcast. You make me laugh and learn with every single episode. You rock! I am a very young senior engineer at a big tech company and I think nobody really knows how young I actually am. I just turned 24 and usually in prior jobs other developers started hating me once they found out that I am this young and already in a senior role. Here at the current place, I have the feeling that all of the engineers in levels below me are already a lot older and have more years of experience under their belt. Also, I think they do not know about my age, because I never shared that in the recruiting process, nor later on. Usually people assume I am in my early 30's and have a baby face, but when I tell them that I am a baby face because I am actually young, they become envious and things go south from there. Should I keep this a secret or am I playing too much into this? PS: I am also already married and have kids, so that could make them assume that I am older.

Introduction:The message "I'm Down for Whatever" calls believers to a wholehearted commitment to Jesus. It draws inspiration from the Israelites' obedience in Joshua 1:10-17, challenging us to embrace a mindset of radical faith and surrender. We identify three key takeaways for those ready to be "Whatever Warriors" for Christ: 1. Whatever Jesus Has Done, Tell People! Joshua 1:11a encourages us to "go through the camp and tell the people." Sharing your testimony isn't just a duty; it's a powerful act that strengthens the faith of others and emboldens your own. Revelation 12:11 reminds us that we overcome "by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony." This means being prepared to give a reason for our hope in Christ with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15-16). 2. Whatever Provisions You Need Are in His Word Just as the Israelites were instructed to prepare provisions before crossing the Jordan (Joshua 1:11), believers today must feed on God's Word for spiritual sustenance. Whether milk for the immature (1 Corinthians 3:1-3) or solid food for the mature (Hebrews 5:12-14), God's Word equips us for the journey ahead. In our walk with Christ, we must progress from spiritual infancy to maturity, developing the discernment to handle life's challenges. 3. Whatever Rest You Need Is in Jesus Joshua 1:14-15 speaks of a rest given by God, which echoes Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Rest isn't simply a state of physical relaxation; it encompasses soul, mind, spiritual, and physical rest. It requires humility and casting our anxieties onto Jesus (1 Peter 5:5-7). True rest is found not in our past struggles, but in releasing our burdens to Him. Conclusion:The "Whatever Warrior" is ready to do whatever Jesus commands, trusting in His promises and resting in His provision. As we soar with Jesus in Season 3, let's cast off what no longer serves us—our worries, pride, sin, and past—and fully commit to following wherever He leads. Response:Declare to the Lord, "I'm down for whatever!" Are you ready to be a Whatever Warrior?

If you want to know what matters most to your elected leaders, the answer is found not in their rhetoric, but in their choices during the budget making process. When the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities was founded in 1981, the mission was to understand how federal spending, or the lack of it, impacted low income Americans, particularly their ability to access healthcare and housing. It also provided policymakers with alternative strategies for meeting human needs with fiscal integrity. As Peggy Bailey, Executive Vice President of Programs and Policy shares on this episode of Power Station, the Center not only brings rigor to federal budget analysis it focuses on and is a resource to state budget making as well. And its internal process has evolved too. All Center departments operate from a justice framework, with staff holding themselves and each other accountable to shared values, from centering racial equity to including those with lived experience in their policy development. Peggy brings her all, including what she has experienced first-hand, to ensuring that public policies and their implementation in the real world uplift those who are too often left behind. She is a true changemaker. Hear her!

In the latest episode of "Dementia Caregiving for Families," the importance of sharing a loved one's dementia diagnosis is discussed. Keeping the diagnosis a secret can lead to isolation and increased stress for caregivers. It's crucial to start informing others early and often, beginning with close family members and then extending to church leadership, employers, colleagues, neighbors, and authorities. This proactive approach helps build a support network and ensures safety. Recognizing conditions like anosognosia, where the person with dementia cannot see their impairment, is also essential. Private conversations without the person present might be necessary to share important information without causing distress. Effective communication with healthcare providers is another key aspect. Many doctors might dismiss symptoms as normal aging, but true memory loss isn't part of normal aging. Caregivers should prepare a concise list of observations to share with the healthcare team and consider finding a more responsive doctor if needed. Open discussions about dementia help reduce its stigma, fostering understanding and compassion. By sharing experiences and educating others, caregivers can ease their burden and provide better care for their loved ones. 2:26 Importance of Communication in Caregiving 7:08 Early and Frequent Communication Strategy 10:34 Looping in Closest Family and Church Leadership 13:22 Involving Employer, Colleagues, and Neighbors 16:28 Dealing with Lack of Awareness in the Person 19:12 Communicating with Healthcare Providers 23:18 Easing Dementia Care Challenges 27:30 Destigmatizing Dementia Discussion 31:23 Recap: Start Early and Speak Often Enjoy our podcast? This episode with life, business and career coach, Brian Patacca, has been one of my go-to's ever since he shared this nugget with me: Marketing is going public with your gifts and being seen for your gifts. If you build it and you tell people about it, they will come. Grab your journal. Brian and I begin with marketing and end with dignity and respect. Along the way, Brian reframes the entire concept of marketing around generosity and purpose: Be determined each day, not to leave your function unfulfilled. Clarity is kindness and kindness is clarity - banish the vague and wishy washy and ASK. Your creativity is your birthright and the world is a better place when you are doing what you are called to do. Effective marketing does 3 things, makes you FEEL something, makes you DO something, makes you NOTICE something. Don't be afraid of the word No. Hearing No frees you to focus your energy on where you'll find your Yes. Brian is a spiritual practitioner who engages creative professionals seeking to ignite their businesses with fierce accountability, marketing innovation and soul satisfying success. He is the founder of a coaching organization and creative community with locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Now based in Los Angeles, Brian coaches nationwide in several web-based group courses including his latest programs, Agent Goals and Actor Operating System. Today Heather continues her conversation with Erin Todd from Intuitive Eating for Christian Women about the expression, "Turn to Jesus, not food." While we know that Jesus should be our source for everything, is it helpful or even accurate to say that we can turn to Jesus instead of eating the food we crave? Is this how we treat other decisions surrounding our bodies and what they need (Do we say, "Turn to Jesus, not sleep?")? Today, Heather and Erin continue their conversations to hash out what is helpful to remember about turning to God, and how this expression may sound more like diet culture than the Bible. If you've ever felt guilt and shame over giving into a craving at night or eating that food you swore to yourself not to eat, and then told yourself you should have turned to "Jesus not food," this episode is for you.
