Do you often ask yourself questions like “Who am I?” or “Why am I here?” Today's guest is spiritual teacher and author Gangaji who discusses her book “The Diamond in Your Pocket – Discover Your True Radiance.” Gangaji talks about how we are naturally conditioned to look outside of ourselves for food and shelter, so we continue to look there for answers. Eventually we discover that we cannot find peace and fulfillment outside and we need to turn inward. We seek and acquire knowledge, but some things can only be found inside. We can stop looking outside for the next book, the next teacher, the next escape. It's so simple, yet revolutionary. Inside there's potential for great creativity. She explains that it's no longer “seeking” but “discovering.” It's impossible to find lasting happiness outside. All pleasure fades, but lasting fulfillment can be found inside. Growing up in Mississippi, with the given birthname Toni Roberson, she felt something was missing in her life. She shares the story of finding her spiritual teacher Papaji. She is a very Western woman and never thought she would seek out a guru. She reached a point in her life where she realized she needed a teacher. She prayed and intended for one, then found herself in India six months later. Papaji was very welcoming. She recognized that this was the answer to her prayer. She found grace and radiance in his teachings. He suggested that she stop seeking and look inside for the truth. She was fearful to stop, as she thought she may lose what she had gained. She didn't know what the outcome would be. He taught her to stop following the mind. If a thought arises, let it go. For a moment, turn your attention away from what you want. As she eventually did, she was overwhelmed with love and peace. She found peace and fulfillment exists already. She experienced stillness and it was scary at first. She learned to “see what is” and discover “what's already here.” It's our beingness. It's consciousness. Some dislike what they see when they look inside. That's all part of the process. Some people feel anguish or fear and other negative emotions. We suppress those feelings, or we can be in constant states of desire, looking for the next thing, and then the next. She suggests we just stop and take a moment. This takes vigilance, but then we can live life from that place. We can stop looking outside for satisfaction. So much energy is free. Gangaji also discusses the idea that “you are not who you think you are.” These thoughts continue and change. Stillness is beyond thought, but it's your real self, your true self. Everything else is a story which can cause negative feelings. This Presence of “All That Is” is not something we have to “do” to experience. It's crucial to realize we are in our thinking minds. We can experience this if we just “be.” It's natural. Our minds will help us with survival. Peace is the nature of your heart. When there's suffering, you must be present with the pain in your heart. She suggests that even though the whole body fights to survive, we can find peace in our hearts. We can discover it deeply after we get through the fear. It's counter-intuitive, but it will pass. We can recognize that states come and go but inner “knowing” and stillness are always there. We can experience this peace. Gangaji teaches the willingness to learn that we are all connected. Destructive global events are tragic yet offer a way for us to discover the limitlessness of our own hearts. She also discusses the work she does within the prison environment, teaching people to learn to experience peace. We can all support one another. We all feel we have so many burdens, one thing to do after the next. And it never ends.  Day by day, hour by hour, we search around for what's next. How can we improve things, what needs to be done now? Zazen practice comes to tell us to  sit down quietly, breathe, realize that it's all done. Our racing minds and hearts have been playing with us, throwing us here and there. The longer we sit still, truly doing nothing, letting the breath breathe us, letting the thoughts drift up and leave,  we start to feel the delicious presence that we naturally are. This Presence is filled with all we need and all that everyone needs as well. It's already here, taking care of everything easily and completely. All we have to do is allow that. To stop trying to run the show. To stop having to be important. Instead, just to Be. What a wonderful discovery. What a gift to ourselves and the entire world. Try this is your relationships as well. You'll be thrilled.

The Presence of God can be categorized in 3 ways...1. His Omni-Presence. This Presence is everywhere yet hidden and unknown.2. The Inner-Presence. This is His Presence inside every Believer. I rose from my bed, thoughts swirling like tornado winds. "Does anyone really know me? What is the purpose of my life?" Resolution filled my veins like urgent flames. Today I would search and seek until I found the answers I needed. .As I packed a sack of food for my journey, I had the sensation that Someone was watching me. This was nothing new, for I had felt this watchfulness my whole life, pushing it from my consciousness as one would shoo a pesky fly. But today, I allowed the sense to linger. "What if? What if there was Someone who saw my every movement, knew when I left my home, had an intimate knowledge of every activity—every thought.".The sun was just breaking over the horizon, golden light cascading through the fields. I chose to journey toward the sea; the vastness of its waters called to me. This Presence, this Someone, surely had no hold on me where the endless miles of ocean roared..Traveling over the great sea in my small vessel, I was amazed to feel the Presence with me still. "Surely the darkness will hide me," I reasoned as the velvet night fell, ocean spray misting my hair. No, hours into my voyage, Someone was still with me..Amid the pre-dawn light, a small island winked in the distance. I felt weary from my journey and decided to rest on the shore. As my bare feet dragged over the grains of sand, a sudden thought sprang up in my mind: "What if the Presence thought of me every day, hour, minute... What if these thoughts amounted to more than all these grains of sand?" A gurgle of a laugh welled up in my throat. It was almost too wonderful to contemplate—perhaps I was dehydrated. • Savannah Coleman.• Like the character in today's story, do you ever wonder if there is more to life? Wonder what is the purpose of your existence?.• In Psalm 139, David wrote about how God has an intimate knowledge of us. The God who made the universe knows when we wake, where we go throughout the day, and every thought that enters our minds. How does the knowledge that God knows everything about you make you feel?.“Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord, “and not a God far away? By the Holy Spirit through Mary Lindow   "Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm,  and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure. For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter,  though a man's misery weighs heavily upon him." There were other wonderful and gifted percussionists and musicians joining in as the Holy Spirit moved through us all and gave me the beautiful melody and orchestral keyboard accompaniment. My hope is that it will stir your heart to worship and be even hungrier for the Presence of the Lord in your life. In all of our lives as believers, we face times and settings where there is a feeling of being pulled and tested, stretched, and restrained. Often, during these excruciating events, those who avoid personal character development tend to give unrestrained advice, spiritualized platitudes, and often, trumped up words of so-called prophetic inspiration to help us not suffer so! As we begin to see the Lord's plan in all of this we also come to understand that if we are not first hearing His voice, His heart, His word in the matters that are straining us, nothing any man or woman says can bring the ultimate light of clarity and release! 
   WINTER SPRING SUMMER AND FALL
  We all face seasons of change that correspond much like the four seasons we observe yearly. Nothing is more surprising than to have an interruption of what we presume to be what is "normal" for an earthly expectation, in one of those seasons. When a sudden ice snow storm blows in unexpected in the late spring in the Colorado fruit growing regions and encrusts the tender blooms on fruit trees and garden plants, we are devastated by the loss of not only the blooms, but also the fruit it could have produced. It appears as if there has been a cruel storm sent to cause crop failure.   WHAT IS THIS CURRENT SEASON OF DIVINE TENSION ALL ABOUT? For many who are hearing or reading this message, you feel as if you have experienced a "Crop failure," perhaps several, and just can't take one more aching disappointment. Many hearts have passed their tender agonies to me on paper, in emails, texts, and through the telephone.   ANGUISH HAS ITS OWN PERFUME  I too have heard the whispers of the voices of darkness try to entice, with wearisome words of worry, paranoia and doubting! "Give up!" they say! "What good is this time of shaking doing?" "What possible good can come out of believing that there is something occurring that will bring a fresh advancement when all seems to have stalled or strained?” And yet, another set of voices would tempt with words of esteem whispering; "Make it happen!  Proclaim mighty deeds and things to come with fervor, flair and well-honed words of impact! Use it or lose it! Promote, push, and publish! It is all yours for the taking!"   BOTH OF THESE VOICES COME FROM THE SUBTLETIES OF THE SOUL AND WELL OILED SPIRITUAL VOICES TRAINED BY THE PRINCE OF LIES AND FLESHLY IMPULSE.   But. In the midst of these strains and attempts to distract comes a clear undeniable "Divine Tension" that pulls and stretches the heart of the humbled believer. It calls simply, firmly, and does not lack a depth of confidence and direction. This “Presence” causes a clash with all that seems to be "the way of man" and will not relent.   THE EARTH IS IN TURMOIL
 It doesn't take much to understand that the earth is in upheaval, rivalry, and chaos wherever we look. There is a tangible and penetrating "tension" in the events we are seeing unfold every day. Parallel to this explosion of pure evil and lulling to sleep of many, there is a Divine Course being laid out for those who have come to the end of them.   ETERNITY IS IN THE SIGHTS OF THOSE LOOKING TO A KINGDOM YET UNSEEN. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have been preparing a bride.  This is done only through the shaping tools of heavenly choice. The chisel and hammer have been at times brutal and unflinching, yet, when the soft hand of The Almighty begins to apply the oil of polishing, He does it with His own hand as well. He makes it beautiful in His own timing, even though the “Divine Tension” seems as if it might cause us to "snap" under the pressure of His hand, smoothing away the roughness of our thoughts and soul's intentions.   Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; Yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.   HEARING, REFINING, HEEDING
  The King of all Glory is training those who have been thrust on the altar of fire to hear from Him as one who strains to catch the song of a bird in distant meadow. It takes the "spiritual ear" and training it to identify even the slightest note or sound, however distant, and to learn to silence the sounds and voices of distraction until the  "honing in" on the sound, the glorious sound of peace, finally directs and sustains us with all that we hear. And then, having drunk deeply of the Voice of the Beloved and Divine Counselor, quickly, without mental filing way of instructions or overthinking, we move and heed His mapping out of plans for this appointed time.   RISING FROM THE ASHES OF THE REFINING OF GOD
 So! Unto those who hear this word from heaven, claiming you are one of Heaven's very own, know that you are being formed and fashioned into sober, clean containers, prepared for infilling. My Spirit will fall upon those who are not seeking to lay claim to My voice, but instead HEED My voice and SEEK My face.  They shall be examples of purity in My Kingdom and will not strive among the self-promoting and “wordy". The broken will be safe in the arms of these who have passed through the current season of being pulled and tested, stretched and restrained and they will restore the devastated. My "faithful hearts" will not be compelled to build agendas for Me and My Presence, because I will BE the Presence that creates the Manifestations of Glory and Might in the earth, without the fanfares of men. YOU HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO DESPERATION IN ORDER THAT I MIGHT RESTORE YOU TO INSPIRED LIVING, IN FULL FELLOWSHIP WITH ME. Isaiah 61 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, Because the LORD has anointed me To preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim freedom for the captives And release from darkness for the prisoners, To proclaim the year of the Lords' favor And the day of vengeance of our God, To comfort all who mourn,  And provide for those who grieve in Zion To bestow on them a crown of beauty Instead of ashes, the oil of gladness, Instead of mourning, And a garment of praise, Instead of a spirit of despair. October 3, 2022 Too much! Do you ever feel like a sponge that can no longer take on any more water? You are at full capacity? We take on burdens of the world, of ourselves, of others. We are worried about today and tomorrow and have a pile of tasks and unmet expectations knocking at our door. In this episode we will try and squeeze out all of these burdens, worries, judgements, and expectations so we can come back to that place inside of us that is still, whole, and at peace. Our listening portion today is from Thomas Keating, an amazing contemplative Catholic monk who passed away several years ago. This Presence is so immense, yet so humble; awe-inspiring yet so gentle; limitless, yet so intimate, tender and personal. I know that I am known. Everything in my life is transparent in this Presence. It knows everything about me – all my weaknesses, brokenness, sinfulness – and still loves me infinitely. This Presence is healing, strengthening, refreshing – just by its Presence. It is nonjudgmental, self-giving, seeking no reward, boundless in compassion. It is like coming home to a place I should have never left, to an awareness that has somehow always there, but which I did not recognize. Divine right action is God’s nature in everyone as is Divine Intelligent. All the qualities of God dwell within each person, awaiting full awareness. As each person learns to be still in mind, body and spirit, the Divine Presence within is revealed. I give thanks for everyone’s oneness with the Divine, for the unconditional love of God and all the qualities of the Divine that dwell within. I am grateful that Divine wisdom resides in each person listening and is eternally there for them to use. This Dictation will expand your understanding of your own I AM Presence and the meaning of the profound concept of God Individualized. The Allness of God elects of its own inner volition to step forth into an active expression of itself and to announce, “Lo, I AM!” This Presence that is this Allness adds to the “I AM”, and steps forth as the “I AM Presence”.  In all of our lives as believers, we face times and settings where there is a feeling of being pulled and tested, stretched and restrained. Often, during these excruciating events, those who avoid personal character development tend to give unrestrained advice, spiritualized platitudes, and often, trumped up words of so-called prophetic inspiration to help us not suffer so! As we begin to see the Lord's plan in all of this we also come to
understand that if we are not first hearing His voice, His heart, His word in the matters that are straining us, nothing any man or woman says can bring the ultimate light of clarity and release! 
   WINTER SPRING SUMMER AND FALL
  We all face seasons of change that correspond much like the four seasons we observe yearly. Nothing is more surprising than to have an interruption of what we presume to be what is "normal" for an earthly expectation, in one of those seasons. When a sudden ice storm blows in unexpected in the late spring and encrusts the tender blooms on fruit trees and garden plants, we are devastated by the loss of not only the blooms, but also the fruit it could have produced. It appears as if there has been a cruel storm sent to cause crop failure.   THIS CURRENT SEASON OF DIVINE TENSION For many reading this Message, you feel as if you have experienced a "Crop failure", perhaps several, and just cannot take one more aching disappointment. Many hearts have passed their tender agonies to me on paper, in emails and through the telephone. ANGUISH HAS ITS OWN PERFUME  I too have heard the whispers of the voices of darkness try to entice,with wearisome words of worry, paranoia and doubting! "Give up!" they say! "What good is this time of shaking doing?" "What possible good can come out of believing that there is something occurring that will bring a fresh advancement when all seems to have stalled or strained?" And yet, another set of voices would tempt with words of esteem whispering; "Make it happen! Proclaim mighty deeds and things to come with fervor, flair and well honed words of impact!" "Use it or lose it!" "Promote, push, and publish! It is all yours for the taking!" Both of these voices come from the subtleties of the soul and well oiled spiritual voices trained by the prince of lies and fleshly impulse. But. In the midst of these strains and attempts to distract comes a clear undeniable "Divine Tension" that pulls and stretches the heart of the humbled believer. It calls simply, firmly, and does not lack a depth of confidence and direction. This “Presence” causes a clash with all that seems to be "the way of man" and will not relent.   THE EARTH IN TURMOIL
 It doesn't take much to understand that the earth is in upheaval, rivalry, and chaos wherever we look. There is a tangible and penetrating "tension" in the events we are seeing unfold every day. Parallel to this explosion of pure evil and lulling to sleep of many, there is a Divine Course being laid out for those who have come to the end of themselves. ETERNITY IS IN THE SIGHTS OF THOSE LOOKING TO A KINGDOM YET UNSEEN
 The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have been preparing a bride. This is done only through the shaping tools of heavenly choice. The chisel and hammer have been at times brutal and unflinching, yet, when the soft hand of The Almighty begins to apply the oil of polishing, He does it with His own hand as well. He makes it beautiful in His own timing, even though the “Divine Tension” seems as if it might cause us to "snap" under the pressure of His hand, smoothing away the roughness of our thoughts and soul's intentions. Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; Yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.   HEARING, REFINING, HEEDING
  The King of all Glory is training those who have been thrust on the altar of fire to hear from Him as one who strains to catch the song of a bird in distant meadow. It takes the "spiritual ear" and training it to identify even the slightest note or sound, however distant, and to learn to silence the sounds and voices of distraction until the  "honing in" on the sound, the glorious sound of peace, finally directs and sustains us with all that we hear. And then, having drunk deeply of the Voice of the Beloved and Divine Counselor, quickly, without mental filing way of instructions, we move and heed His mapping out of plans for this appointed time.   RISING FROM THE ASHES OF THE REFINING OF GOD
So! Unto those who hear this word from heaven, claiming you are one of Heaven's very own, know that you are being formed and fashioned into sober, clean containers, prepared for infilling. My Spirit will fall upon those who are not seeking to lay claim to My voice, but instead HEED My voice and SEEK My face. They shall be examples of purity in My Kingdom and will not strive among the self-promoting and "wordy". The broken will be safe in the arms of these who have passed through the current season of being pulled and tested, stretched and restrained and they will restore the devastated.
