Christof Koch is a neuroscientist who studies consciousness, and is best known for integrated information theory. IIT is a consciousness-first theory, which states that the experience of being someone (or something) is directly related to the causal powers of the underlying system. Up until relatively recently, Koch was something of a materialist - he believed that it would be possible to find the specific series of neural events in the brain that produce lived experience. One thing I love doing is finding old classic books  that carry unique information on reality creation, spirituality, magic and consciousness. For years on the channel I have searched out super rare hard to find books and share some of their teachings. In this episode I read from an old parker publishing classic by Robert A Ferguson. Columbia Law School Professor Emeritus Robert A. Ferguson—a man of letters whose expansive, category-hopping approach to legal scholarship ranged from a critically acclaimed book on the plight of the incarcerated to a historical study of court trials as public, political, and literary events. What is fascinating is that early in his career he explored magic, the occult and the secrets of mind power. He claimed to be a psychic researcher who promised that your every wish could become a positive reality. In this episode I read from his book psychic telemetry which discusses the use of a unique way to use your psychic power. This is written in that classic Parker publishing style which was unique for a period in the 60s.

There is a hidden cause of all things, hidden because it is not visible, invisible because it takes no special form, fits no special description. It lies eternally and omnisciently behind the consciousness of every living thing, and it determines all fates, all consequences, all conflicts and resolutions. It is not thwarted in a single aspect of its being or purpose; there are within it no loose ends, no unresolved conflicts. It is universal mind, divine intelligence, the Secret Self that animates every living thing. It is as large as infinity, there are no limits upon its capabilities or powers, and it resides completely and entirely within you. Hidden though it be from your surface mind, it is your own immortal self. This is the self whose steps are visible in the stars, in the infinitesimal and complex design of the germinating seed, in the color and grandeur and bustling energy of evolving life. It brings all forms into existence, crumbles and dissipates them when the idea behind them has been expressed. It is the sole being, the one mind, the solitary life, the only true presence, the one real self in existence. Immortal, never born, never dying, the infinite sides of its manifold nature are expressed on the stage of life, and each of its creations contains within it all of the essence and power and intelligence of the creator, each has within it the Secret Self. What we are witness to in the world is an incessant parade of thoughts becoming things, not because thoughts create things, but because we only perceive the things that occupy our consciousness as thought. In essence, all things possible of mental visualizing are already in existence, for in order that they be visualized at all, they must already have been conceived in the mind of the ultimate intelligence.

The Sun is an evolved planet in its progressive state of becoming space. An expanding universe must have something to expand from. The Sun is not becoming smaller by combustion, fission or fusion. It is growing larger by digestion of the matter it encounters in the lines of primary light energy. The Sun gives off only a very small percentage of the energy it is thus acquiring. Matter, or mass, cannot give off but only a small percentage of its actual total potential energy, even in the famed atomic bombs. The energy given off by any fuel or matter is always less than that substance which went into its making. Why is this? The answer is-because Mind also went into the making of all created things. Mind is neutral. Mind cannot give off energy, it can only direct the flow and action of energy. Universal Mind permeates all things. Each person uses the Mind of God according to his, or her ability to get into It deeper. All things that are, or ever will be, already exist in Universal Mind. None can penetrate into the Universal Mind beyond their own acquired capability. Creation consists in the art of combining forces which have an affinity for each other, in the proper proportion, thus oxygen and hydrogen combined in the proper proportions produce water. Oxygen and hydrogen are both invisible gases but water is visible. A thought goes forth from the thinker, it meets other thoughts for which it has an affinity, they coalesce and form a nucleus for other similar thoughts; this nucleus sends out calls into the formless energy, wherein all thoughts and all things are held in solution, and soon the thought is clothed in a form in accordance with the character given to it by the thinker. All thoughts and all things are held in solution in the Universal Mind. Each carries deep and timeless lessons on the nature of consciousness and the truth of who you really are. Health and well-being are the natural states of every form of life, for all things are rooted in Universal Subconscious Mind which is perfect. Every living thing is but an idea held in Universal Mind, made manifest in space and time, gifted with consciousness which seeks ever to know more about itself. There is only one intelligence, one mind in all creation, and all things are made from it. According as each thing realizes the perfection in which it is rooted, it attains to perfection itself. Thus physical health proceeds from mental peace, and disease and corruption proceed from mental confusion. Disease is a product of the confusion attendant upon growing self-consciousness. So it is that man, the most intelligent of all forms of life, falls constant prey to disease and illness, while the lower forms of life exist in physical perfection, unburdened by mental confusion. The lower we go on the scale of life the scarcer become the evidences of disease until at last we are forced to the conclusion that disease is a product of mental development, most certainly a product of evolving consciousness. Evolving consciousness comes with an increasing number of conflicts, which project themselves into Universal Mind, which manifests them physically in the form of disease and corruption of the body. Man, who has come the full scale of self-consciousness but has not as yet evolved the greater consciousness of immortal Self, sees himself as an insignificant dot in a gigantic universe where he has not ordered his existence and cannot stay his death. His highly developed little ego cuts him off from the roots of his being, and he knows fear and futility and hate and bitterness, all of which set up conflicts between his emotions and his mind.
