Thus it is the absolute."33:56 But you're also saying even what's imagined is the ultimate truth too?35:29 Verse 635:43 When one is able to overcome all imaginations of the mind, unhappiness is dispelled once and for all. 37:35 Is it awareness that makes consciousness possible, or consciousness that makes awareness possible?38:31 'I am' consciousness and the awareness in pure consciousness.40:14 Verse 740:32 Is the world simply an imagination?44:51 So we can become the truth and have that Pure Awareness, but we can't know the truth because that would reduce Truth to just an idea in the mind.45:24 Since birth we have gone on absorbing impressions and beliefs until it is a firm reality.46:59 Verse 847:17 "Do sadhana and know the truth for yourself."49:22 Verse 950:18 "A Yogi realizes that 'I' is nothing but the ultimate truth of the Self"50:50 So it's the pure awareness, or consciousness of existence from where the "I" arises?52:33 In meditation, I have encountered two parts of watching; one is when we are trying to ignore thoughts and we just bring our attention to the centre (between our eyebrows), and second is, by just watching the thought, it dissolves itself. Is there a difference?54:22 Is ignoring a thought possible?54:45 When you first touched the feet of Shivabalayogi, your sense of 'I' disappeared. Can you remove the sense of 'I' from us if we touch your feet?56:33 How to harness and sustain intention, and is it related to concentration and devotion?57:54 Being quiet in life and the mind quietening when hearing Babaji talk.59:49 Being bothered by the amount of garbage waste in the world - is there a spiritual solution to it?1:01:27 How to be in awareness when doing something and not forget what I am doing?1:02:35 Research talks of importance of connection with other people, is it ok not to have relations with other people?1:04:27 Perspective on other lineages where meditation techniques are a lot more complicated, using chakras etc.Website: http://www.srby.orgFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/shivarudrabalayogiTwitter: https://twitter.com/SRBYmissionInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/shivarudrabalayogi/Register your free place for the live online meditation and Q&A with Babaji: https://www.shivarudrabalayogi.org/en/online-satsang Website: http://www.srby.orgFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/shivarudrabalayogiTwitter: https://twitter.com/SRBYmissionInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/shivarudrabalayogi/

In this episode, Breht sits down with Suzin Green, author of The Goddess Remedy, to explore the psychological, spiritual, and civilizational roots of modern disconnection. Moving beyond conventional political understandings of patriarchy, Green presents it as a deeper structure of domination that shapes not only institutions, but consciousness itself -- fueling alienation, compulsive striving, inner fragmentation, and a profound loss of connection to self, others and the living world. Together, they unpack Green's concepts of "dismemberment," the "inner patriarch," and the tension between "being" and "doing," while probing the experiential realities beneath the book's symbolic language. The conversation explores how ego, social conditioning, and modern systems of competition shape subjectivity; whether inner healing can meaningfully intersect with broader social transformation; and what it might mean to reclaim wholeness in an age defined by burnout, anxiety, and disconnection. Drawing connections between mysticism, psychology, and political life, this dialogue examines the possibility that genuine transformation may require not only structural change, but a radical reorientation of consciousness itself. For listeners interested in spirituality, liberation, psychology, and the crisis of modern life, this is a rich exploration of what it means to heal both self and society. 4th Mar 2026In this Satsang, Sanjay discussed the importance of understanding one's true nature beyond name and form. He emphasized that identifying with the body-mind complex leads to suffering and karma, while awareness of our true self as pure consciousness brings freedom. He shared a moving story of a child who connected with a tree at a young age, experiencing profound spiritual insights without formal practice. The discussion included Jonas's observation that having a picture of Bhagavan on his wall deepened his spiritual practice, and Radhika's question about balancing caring for family members with her spiritual understanding. Sanjay advised Radhika to focus on her own spiritual path and practice acceptance, suggesting that her example might influence others more than direct teaching. The conversation ended with Sanjay emphasizing the purity of awareness and the importance of understanding that all experiences arise from thoughts. These are teachings and pointers from ongoing NDA(Non-duality awareness)/Advaitic Satsangs held at Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi Centre in Melbourne, Australia. Ep. 205 (Part 2 of 2) | In the fourteenth dialogue in the A. H. Almaas Wisdom Series, Hameed Ali explores the nonconceptual nature of the dimension of pure awareness, guiding us into the realm that lies beyond conceptual dichotomies such as being/nonbeing, being/doing, duality/nonduality, good/bad, and meaningful/meaningless. Beyond knowing, this dimension exposes and challenges conceptual polarities, and when we arrive at this level of realization we are able to trust letting go of knowingness and wake up to pure awareness. People fear annihilation at the prospect of going beyond concepts, Hameed explains, and it does lead to a death: the death of mind, the death of the doer. But even here beyond knowing, Hameed continues, the nonconceptual always operates from compassion and love. How do we develop a continuity of nonconceptual awareness? Roger and John wonder. One way is when knowing is integrated into being, Hameed answers. Then everything just happens; the doing is funneled through the individual. And there is another way, through developing the “pearl beyond price,” the individual, Hameed adds, but this way is rare. As co-host Roger Walsh says, this is an especially nourishing, stimulating, and intriguing discussion, with Hameed doing a beautiful job of relating how our concepts form the basis of our existence and what it means to transcend them, let go of our mind, deconstruct our perception of ourselves as the “doer,” and wake up to pure awareness. Ep. 201 (Part 2 of 2) | In the thirteenth dialogue of the A. H. Almaas Wisdom Series, Hameed Ali delves into the subject of knowing, or basic knowledge, at the deepest level of awareness. Different from ordinary knowledge, basic knowledge is inherent and immediate, an important feature of reality. You can know Being by being Being, he says; know consciousness by being consciousness, know peace by being peace. Being and knowing are the same thing, he explains, two sides of a coin. Some of what Hameed shares here is unique to his Diamond Approach teaching, and not found in other spiritual teachings, such as what he imparts about the origin of mind and the distinction he makes between pure being and pure awareness.Hameed explains that we need our conceptual mind (to do our taxes, he laughs), but that reification—treating concepts as if they were real things—creates obstacles and alienates us from our true nature. The aim of all spiritual practice is to go beyond reification to immediate experience, he says. When Hameed describes the difference between pure presence and pure awareness, John wonders, how does Hameed remember the state of pure awareness when there's no knowing in that state? And what does it feel like to experience no ground of being? Hameed answers in his usual enlightening, gently humorous way, leaving listeners in a state of open-minded wonder. Vastly illuminating, this conversation goes directly to the heart of being and the heart of knowing at the very foundation of true nature. Recorded July 17, 2025.“Mind is not an obstacle. Not an enemy. The obstacle is the reified representation of mind. If we take the knowledge of that mind to be reality, that is the obstacle.”Topics & Time Stamps – Part 2How does Hameed remember the state of pure awareness when there's no knowing in that state? (00:32)Most spiritual teachings have pure awareness and pure presence as inseparable, but in this teaching they can be distinguished (03:26)The experience of pure awareness: transparency, translucence, freedom (04:02) The world is not an illusion; it is the face of God (06:13)The logos is what makes things manifest (09:48)Connecting the dimensions of pure being and pure awareness: mind is not an obstacle (11:46)Gurdjieff's “stupid saints” (13:14)Mind is not the enemy; it's the reification of knowing that is the obstacle (14:07)Pure awareness is more fundamental than pure being because there are no concepts; freedom is more palpable in pure awareness (17:14)Hameed's multiple kinds of freedom; freedom independent from the ground of being (22:10)What does it feel like to realize there is no ground? (25:02)Transcending conceptual dichotomies: in spiritual liberation dichotomies can be stumbling blocks, like being vs nonbeing (25:20)Will science start to accept the ground of being? (29:38)Is math, the Euclidean theorem, a property of reality? (32:42)Consciousness and quantum theory (34:27)Knowing is fundamental to the universe; it's inherent to our true nature (38:41)There's no reason to have to choose between knowing and being, they're two sides of the same thing (39:51)Resources & References – Part 2A. Who or What is Kali?According to Abhinava Gupta , Kālī is: क्षेपो ज्ञानं च संख्यां गतिनाद इति क्रमात्। कल्लनां कुर्वती काली कर्षिणीत्यभिधीयते। She who projects, She who knows, She who delimits, She who vibrates, She who is resonance and She who is process She who imagines, She who acts, She who devours (i.e reabsorbs)....this is verily Kālī In other words, Kālī is that resonant, dynamic One from Whom the world is projected outward, articulated and known and into Whom it is reabsorbed in a constant simultaneity of unfolding! But what does that mean? And what does Kālī have to do with Śakti and what is Śakti to Śiva? Is there such a thing as a Śākta (worshipper of Devī) distinct from Śaivism? In trying to approach some of these questions, we discuss one of my favorite topics: yoginīs, mātrikās & cremation ground deities! As our śrāvana festivities and practices intensify with the passing weeks, there is a rising fervor and I am feeling rather inspired to explore the cremation ground roots of our Śaiva heritage, to make a few historical points about Ati Margins and about Kāpālikās and about what they discovered, understanding it all within the wider philosophical context of Somānanda's presentation of Śiva as primordial dynamic Consciousness, inseparable from Śakti, the pentadof powers! (cit, ānanda, icchā, jñāna, kriyā etc.) This union of Śiva + Powers (i.e puissance or latency or agency or dyanmism) is what we call Kālī and this is what I hope to explore with you a little bit today in class!According to Shiti Kanttha in Mahānāya Prakāśa: एवं आधौ एव शक्तिः स्पन्दनशीला बहिर्विषयोन्मुखी व्यापिनीभावेन सृष्ट्युपदेशभाजनम्...। एकैव चिन्नीलाधवाभासरूपा अस्थिरहठगवती कुलैव पश्चात्प्रतिसंहतस्वभावा अग्राग्रागमिप्रसरत्सहजरूपा लक्ष्यते, सोऽयं निरुपाधौ चित्स्फायादुपाधिकृतो भेदः। Verily is She is the Primordial Pulsation, inclined towards externality, the all-pervasive receptacle of emission and wisdom. She alone is the Pure Awareness in which shines experiences like the colour blue etc. Dyanmic and forcefully flowing into externality, She is verily "Kula" (the embodied universe) and yet afterwards, she withdraws it back into her nature. Her spotaneous nature is found at the very edge of arising experience. Duality arises in Her when there are limiting adjuncts but in truth She shines non-differently!Shiva = Kali, as in Shiti Kanttha:शिवस्वभावैव शक्तिः न वस्त्वन्तरम्,इत्येकम् एव शिवव्यपदेश्यं शक्तिव्यपदेश्यं च वस्तुतत्त्वं नापूर्वं किञ्चित्। The essential nature of Shiva is Shakti; they are is no seperate reality! That which is called "Shiva" and that which is called "Shakti" is the same thing! And this essential reality is wholly ordinary and not something bizzare! “Be curious about the right stuff. Who are you really? Ask yourself, what's the truth that never changes its truthfulness?” Today I'm joined by a real modern-day yogi and meditator live from the Himalayas. Mr. Richard Taylor became Dikpal when he met Swami Shyam in 1973. He's been meditating ever since, and in this delightful and illuminating conversation, Dikpal shares his wisdom from living and studying with a Self-realized teacher for 50 years and coming to understand the purpose of this human life.We touch on a lot here, but here are just a few of the highlights: ➖ Journey from having it all and still being miserable to having an experience of “regaining the innocence and seeing the truth behind the appearances” ➖ “The experience of perfection, it's like when you hear it, you know it in the deepest depths of your being as the truth”. ➖ Dikpal answers my question: What is that power that covers the sense of perfection in a human being? ➖ “The essence of sadhana, spiritual practice, to be this, that, no, it's to know that you are pure being, untouchable by any event.” ➖ Yogastah: to be established in Yog ➖ Method of inquiry, meditation and mantra to open the direct experience ➖ “When you're meditating, you let go of holding onto individual perception. The life, the awareness, is eternal, it is out of time.” You can't really find Dikpal on the internet, but let us know what you think of this talk and how your meditation practice is going. I really enjoyed this conversation, both when we had it live in Dikpal's living room and then again when I listened to it, when I really needed it, back here in Sweden. It was refreshing to hear again about the inevitable covering power of the human being and how to always know how to return to that Pure Being in the practice of meditation - and of course, Satsang. Thanks for being here with me for another season of a Curious Yogi Podcast. In appreciation and oneness, Bobbi Thanks for listening!

In this episode, Loch introduces the map and practices of non-dual presence. A lot of us have heard about non-duality before. But how many of us have a truly embodied experience of this profound and transformative dimension of our own consciousness? Nondual Presence MapIn Loch's model of The Five Levels of Mind, he refers to non-dual presence as the Fourth Level of Mind — Unity Mind. Throughout the episode, Loch leads you through an experiential inquiry into the nature of both bliss and emptiness and how non-dual presence represents the life-changing union of these two. We all like peak experiences of bliss. But what if the natural experience of our body on a fundamental level was a subtle pervasive Bliss. In this episode, you'll get answers to fundamental questions like: What does non-dual presence feel like? How can you begin to embody this for yourself? How is it different from Subtle Energy, Pure Awareness, and the Mindful Witness? And most importantly, how can you access non-dual presence in your own life to foster a new baseline of unconditional love and Self Leadership.Glimpse & Nondual MeditationThe episode features Loch offering a guided practice and nondual meditation called “Awake-Awareness Energy Embodied.” These mindful glimpses serve as invaluable tools for experiencing ways to access the awake consciousness that is already here within all of us.You can now explore all of Loch Kelly's practices and teachings on the new Mindful Glimpses app, found at https://lochkelly.org/mindful-glimpses. Consciousness is the fundamental essence of your being, distinct from the physical and psychological objects it is conscious of. But your conscious awareness gets so distracted by external objects, thoughts, and emotions, that it becomes identified with them. This identification forms the ego, the false sense of “I.” The spiritual path involves letting go of distractions and false identifications in order to remain in the true “seat of self,” a state of pure awareness and joy. The ultimate realization is reconnecting with the source of consciousness, leading to unity with the divine and a life of peace and ecstasy. 26th Oct 2024 In this Satsang, Sanjay discussed the concept of the universal self and the importance of surrendering individual selves to it, emphasizing the need to move from personal involvement to an impersonal, uninvolved state. He also explored the idea of pure awareness, its relation to the mind and body, and the concept of the "small eye" that enslaves the mind. Lastly, he highlighted the impermanence of the physical body, the futility of seeking happiness through it, and the potential of identifying with awareness to solve all problems eternally. These are teachings and pointers from ongoing NDA(Non-duality awareness)/Advaitic Satsangs held at Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi Centre in Melbourne, Australia. Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Arunachala Ramanaya !

Pure Awareness (የጠራ ግንዛቤ)
Sink into the Liberation Through 5 Layers of Awareness Meditation with author and Subtle Energy Meditation teacher Kevin Schoeninger. All of us long to be free from the stress and struggles of being a self in this world. What if the secret is in freeing your mind from layers of self-identification and discovering what lies beyond this world of different forms? In Subtle Energy Meditation, we view consciousness like an onion, with layers of awareness. Each layer represents a frequency band of Reality, a layer of awareness you can tune into. We begin with coarse outer layers and peel these away one by one to realize more subtle inner layers—until the Clear Light of Pure Awareness shines forth. In this meditation, we take this journey of liberation together through five layers of awareness. This rich satsang invites us into the ‘Commitment to Self-Discovery' guidance—a profound sitting exercise from Moojibaba to ‘Just Be'. By putting our attention on Beingness, we are led from the forest of delusion to the sky of Pure Awareness. "Any sensation can come. The sky, limitless, infinite, unending, welcomes all visitors. Moon, sun, clouds, rainbows. It doesn't complain, it manifests them. Yet nothing sticks. Everything is a tourist floating by, like all things born of time. This is why the sages say, 'You are the sky of Pure Awareness.' Monte Sahaja, Portugal 15 November 2023
Someone asked me over the weekend what my main mantra is, and what their mantra should be. This is my answer. ❤️ Note: the most powerful mantra is the one you chant and keep chanting. The one that helps you keep recognizing the unbroken mantra of Silent-Love that's always, already here. Feel It, feel It, feel It, or hear It, hear It, hear It... hold on to the path you're on because it is your destiny and is leading you to your destiny. You've made it (!!!!), and you'll make it. I Love you, Nik nikki@curlynikki.com ******God is afoot! I'm writing, and working on something BIG (and very useful) for your practice! In this meditation on pure awareness, Bentinho guides us to see how we can shift our attention from being lost in worldly distractions to a state of pure awareness. He explains that there are two primary ways to use our attention: one is to be absorbed in whatever perceptions, sensations, or thoughts arise, which often leads to mental descriptions and conceptualizations; the other is to be aware of the fact that we are aware, recognizing the essence of being.Bentinho explains that by pausing for a few seconds and interrupting the absorption of the mind in external objects, we can bring our attention back to its essence. Through repeated practice of self-recognition, you can begin to see the world as a projection of the imagination and dissolve the belief in an external reality separate from awareness. Ultimately, a sense of non-duality and unity is realized, where all things are recognized as the one being.Meeting God and the truth halfway requires momentarily stopping the dreaming and being fully awake to the extended hand of the Creator, who is always there for those who have forgotten their own divine nature._________Follow Bentinho on Social Media:InstagramFacebookYouTubeTwitterTikTok_________Subscribe to the Bentinho Massaro newsletter: bit.ly/3rhVNhs
In a Zoom meeting with the Ramana Maharshi Foundation UK on 14th October 2023, Michael answers various questions about Bhagavan's teachings. He started with: Question #1: In deep sleep only awareness remains. You said awareness knows awareness only. My question is why I don't know myself in deep sleep? Kindly Reply. Question #2: What is pure awareness? If it is aware of anything, it is impure. So, if awareness is aware even of itself, being aware, that is already impure, since awareness has an object (itself). So, pure awareness is awareness of... what? And, anyway, as soon as you notice it, it would not be pure awareness any longer, since now there is a duality: awareness (apparently of nothing) and the awareness of awareness. My point then is, what good is pure awareness, since it is aware of nothing, and cannot even know itself without disturbing its pure awareness? If you are it, you cannot know it, and if you know it, you no longer are it. I do not see a way out of this. Has anyone ever recognized pure awareness? If so, they are separate from it. But, it also cannot be aware of itself, or for that matter anything at all. And this is supposed to be the highest knowledge no less? Knowledge of what, exactly? Question #3: Philosophy, Sartre in particular, would deny that there is anything such as intransitive awareness. Awareness must be of something, or what is it awareness of? As soon as you are aware of even just being aware, now awareness is the object, and you are observing awareness. I do not think we are aware of our sleep. I think we infer it. We can recall our dreams, and we might say we did not dream all night, so there must have been a period of sleep, but that does not mean we were aware of our awareness. Also, the fact that we are not aware of the world while asleep is particularly unconvincing when it is argued that therefore the objective world arises when our ego arises. That is far too solipsistic for my tastes. We blink and the sun disappears, for us. No one believes the sun disappears; similarly, we sleep and the world does not disappear. Where is the evidence one can see pure awareness, or failing that, that awareness of nothing exists. And so what if we can have pure awareness of nothing at all; what does that prove, exactly? This episode can also be watched as a video here and a more compressed audio copy in Opus format (which can be listened to in the VLC media player and some other apps) can be downloaded from here.
In this episode, Ashish and Anil delve into a mind-altering chat with Professor Srikumar Rao, Head of The Rao Institute. Prof. Srikumar Rao is a speaker, former business school professor and head of the Rao Institute based out of New York. He's an executive coach to senior business executives who he helps find deeper meaning and engagement in their work. Graduates of his workshops and leaders he has helped around the globe have transformed their lives so that they can experience abundant joy, no matter what comes their way. He's a Ted speaker, author, and creator of the pioneering course, Creativity and Personal Mastery (CPM). In life, there will always be challenges that will come our way. And most people overcome those battles to be happy. But it's time we flip the script. After all, happiness can be the means to pursue any end, instead of something we pursue. One of the best ways to do this, is to live in pure awareness. Throughout this episode, Professor Rao, Ashish, and Anil, delve into the concept of 'pure awareness' - a steady, unchanging self beneath the roles we play. We at Happiness Squad echo this concept of the constant self we have that can navigate life's journey with intrinsic happiness as the compass, not the destination.Join us in this mind-altering chat with Professor Rao, as we peel back the layers of 'pure awareness'. In our society, nobody ever really teaches you about your inner world. Everyone is always so focused on the outer world, business goals, awards, money, and material success that we often overlook the importance of understanding our inner selves. In this episode, Hallie and I explore how to begin to cultivate awareness, and gradually move towards pure awareness. And, yes, we talk about what pure awareness is too! We also cover why it's important to be more aware of your emotions than to control them, the three levels of awareness and consciousness, and how surrendering may lead to less motivation - for a time. Remember, pure awareness is an infinite game, so start small and stay in the present moment. See full show notes.

I Love you, Niknikki@curlynikki.com
This is a selection of key pointers from Nisargadatta taken from the texts "I am That" and "The Nisargadatta Gita" - intended as a guided meditation. Original text of "I am That" edited and compiled by Maurice Frydman. The Nisargadatta Gita edited by Pradeep Apte.
This is a guided meditation to help you recognize your own inherent Awareness and learn how to abide by that. Pure Awareness is our true nature. Only by intuitively realizing and understanding the depth and profundity of this impersonal Reality, and resting in it, can we begin the journey to transcend suffering and samsara.
