If a poker player raises from under the gun, their range should generally be stronger, tighter and built around premium broadway hands, suited aces, and high pocket pairs. Against this type of tight early position range you should proceed cautiously and 3-bet less often because they are far more likely to have the strongest part of their range. However, when a player in late position decides to raise, especially from the button, their range will become much wider.
