Are you struggling to find the right words to express your message without sounding salesy or inauthentic? Do you feel overwhelmed when it comes to writing copy that connects with your audience and drives results? In today's episode, we dive deep into the power of authentic messaging and how to avoid common mistakes in your sales and marketing copy. Key Takeaways: Finding Your Voice: Why casual, conversational copy can create stronger connections with your audience. Avoiding Salesy Copy: How to reframe your messaging to focus on the audience rather than yourself. The Power of Storytelling: Why sharing personal stories and testimonials can make your copy more relatable. Copywriting Tones: How to determine if you're the expert guide, the friend next door, or a mix of both. Overcoming Writing Blocks: Simple strategies like bullet-pointing ideas or voice memos to capture your authentic voice. Sales Page Essentials: Why you should establish empathy and address your audience's challenges before presenting your offer. Resources & Action Steps: Bullet Point Strategy: Start with bullet points before writing paragraphs to keep your copy natural and authentic. Voice Memo Tip: Record yourself speaking about your topic and use the transcript as a foundation for your copy. Identify Your Audience: Do market research to match your tone with your audience's level of awareness and understanding. Clarify Your Tone: Decide early whether your brand voice is more educational or conversational and stay consistent. Use Storytelling: Incorporate transformation stories and testimonials to help your audience see themselves in your message. About Julie: Julie is a medical copywriter and strategist who helps functional and naturopathic providers bring their big ideas to life with messaging that feels like them—smart, approachable, and impossible to ignore. Whether it's crafting a sales page that finally clicks or helping her clients hit six-figure launches, Julie loves finding the perfect words to make people say, "That's exactly what I needed!" When she's not deep in the world of copy, you'll find her chasing her kids, sipping chai tea, or figuring out how to balance family chaos with making her next big idea happen. In this episode featuring student success stories, I speak with Anita Schill about her bold decision to open an Energy Medicine business. Find out how as a nurse in the 1970s she quickly became disillusioned with western medicine and sought other options, and how the study of yoga led to her transition to energy medicine. If you're considering making a pivot in your own business, you'll love this episode! “I think it's important to remember the old adage ‘Don't put all your eggs in one basket.' Even if you're happy where you are, there are other things in life.” —Anita Schill This week on the Do It With Intention Podcast: Learn how Anita's early nursing career led her to the study of disease prevention and promoting health in the workplace. And how a high level and rewarding job suddenly became unfulfilling as her interest in energy medicine intensified — and guidance arrived. Discover what the energy body is and how it can have a positive, non-invasive effect on so many illnesses. And why a bodyworker should be able to explain in a concise way what they do so potential clients understand it thoroughly. Resources from this episode: Initially a registered nurse, Dr. Anita Schill earned her doctorate degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health (now the Bloomberg School of Public Health). While her career has chiefly focused on the safety, health, and well-being of workers, her passion for yoga soon emerged. She is a registered yoga teacher at the 500-hour level (RYT 500) and certified as a yoga therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). Dr. Schill's personal commitment to energy medicine inspired her to pursue her passion for the health and well-being of individuals and establish her private practice, Bliss Zone Energy Medicine, LLC.
