This is the second episode of [comebacks], and the guest is Liz Tran. I'm a huge fan of her work, so I loved getting to speak with her again in this new format, where we walk through a specific comeback in someone's life and focus on the messy middle of it. In this episode, Liz talks about divorce, reinvention, dating, and what it actually takes to rebuild your life after the version you planned for falls apart. We talk about how loneliness can change you when you stop trying to outrun it, how avoidance can look productive, as well as AQ (adaptability quotient), timelines, and learning to trust that your life can expand in ways you couldn't have planned for. Shahadat of Muslim Bin Aqil (AS)May 26th 20269th Dhul Hijjah1447The days of Ḥajj reconnect believers to the legacy of Nabi Ibrāhīm (a), whose life of sacrifice and submission became the foundation of Islamic worship and identity.Nabi Ibrāhīm (a) is mentioned 69 times in the Qur'ān, and an entire chapter is named after him, highlighting his central role in divine history. The journeys of Ibrāhīm (a) from Babylon to Syria, Palestine, Egypt, and finally Makkah reflect a lifelong struggle for tawḥīd and obedience to Allāh.Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all trace their spiritual roots back to Ibrāhīm (a), making him the father of the monotheistic faiths.Islam is described in the Qur'ān as “Millata Abīkum Ibrāhīm” — the religion and path of your father Ibrāhīm — emphasizing complete devotion to Allāh.The du‘ā of Ibrāhīm (a) and Ismā‘īl (a) while raising the Ka‘bah asked Allāh to make their descendants true Muslims, fulfilled ultimately through Prophet Muḥammad (s) and Islam.True Islam means total submission to Allāh in every aspect of life: personal, family, social, political, and financial — preferring divine guidance over personal desire.Ibrāhīm (a) demonstrated uncompromising faith by rejecting idol worship, migrating to preserve religion, leaving his family in the barren desert of Makkah, and preparing to sacrifice his son solely for Allāh's pleasure.Muslim bin ‘Aqīl stands as a living example of true īmān and Islam: unwavering belief in Allāh, Rasulullāh, and the Ahlul Bayt (a), combined with sacrifice in the path of truth.Imam Ḥusayn (a) called Muslim bin ‘Aqīl “my brother, cousin, and trusted one from my family,” showing the immense trust and status he held in the mission of Karbalā'.Thousands in Kūfa initially pledged allegiance to Imam Ḥusayn (a) through Muslim bin ‘Aqīl, but fear and political pressure from Ibn Ziyād caused the people to abandon him one by one.Muslim bin ‘Aqīl's loneliness reached its peak when hundreds who marched with him disappeared by Maghrib, leaving him completely alone after ṣalāh.In the neighborhood of Kindah, exhausted and betrayed, Muslim sought refuge at the home of Ṭaw‘ah, where he confessed: “The people deceived and abandoned me.”Even in captivity, Muslim's final concerns were fulfilling debts, receiving burial, and warning Imam Ḥusayn (a) not to come to Kūfa — showing responsibility, loyalty, and sincerity until his last breath. The tragedy of Muslim bin ‘Aqīl — denied water, martyred on the roof of Dār al-Imārah, and his body dishonored afterward — foreshadows the suffering of Imam Ḥusayn (a) and the thirst of Sakīnah (a) in Karbalā'.Donate towards our programs today: https://jaffari.org/donate/Jaffari Community Centre (JCC Live)
Exponential technologies, humanity-centric innovation, ethics in AI, passion and purpose, and the intersection of business and technology all point to one urgent question: How do we prepare the next generation to build solutions that are both economically viable and good for humanity? This is a question we explore with Pete Dulcamara - scientist, former VP of Research at Kimberly-Clark and author of High-Tech Heroes. We may be entering a new renaissance of innovation, driven by the convergence of human need, business model disruption and fast-moving technology. Global companies are rethinking how products create real human value, exponential technologies are advancing faster than institutions can adapt, and a new generation is entering the workforce with different expectations for purpose, impact and responsibility. For Dulcamara, the opportunity is not technology for technology's sake. AI, robotics, biotechnology, autonomous systems and additive manufacturing could help solve some of the world's hardest problems, but only if they are paired with ethical judgment and economic viability. That's where education has to adapt. Students must learn exponential technologies and also how to apply their skills to these humanity-centric questions. In this episode:Redefining "billionaire" and how you can become oneThe difference between consumer-centric, business-centric and humanity-centric innovationWhat we mean by “data is the new oil, AI is the new electricity, and robotics is the new steel”Moving technical education from STEM to “STEM to the power of E”EQ, AQ and the skills the next generation may need more than IQ in the age of AI3 Big Takeaways from this Episode:1. Humanity-centric innovation requires purpose and profit to work together.Pete Dulcamara defines humanity-centric innovation as solving major human problems through viable business models and exponential technologies. The point is not charity, but scalable solutions that create competitive advantage while improving people's lives.2. The next era of technology will be built on data, AI and robotics.Dulcamara compares data to the new oil, AI to the new electricity and robotics to the new steel. As these technologies converge, companies and schools will need to prepare people for a world where intelligent systems reshape products, industries and work itself.3. Technical education has to teach more than technical skill. As AI makes answers easier to access, students will need stronger curiosity, ethical judgment and adaptability. Dulcamara argues that STEM should be raised to the “power of E,” with ethics embedded into how students learn, build and apply technology.Resources in this Episode:Get Pete's book High-Tech Heroes: Why Gen Z is our Last and Best Chance to Save the PlanetTons of other books, podcasts and shows mentioned in this episode can be found on the show notes page: https://techedpodcast.com/dulcamara/We want to hear from you! Most people are optimizing for the wrong kind of smart — and it's costing them everything when the world shifts. Liz Tran is a former venture capital executive, CEO coach, and author of AQ. A German micro-school head on family, purpose and intentional education This fireside conversation is for parents, psychologists and anyone working with children's wellbeing who is questioning whether a small or micro school is a legitimate choice rather than a compromise. Christian Convence, head of a family-run micro school near Aachen in Germany, joins fellow small-school head, Gershom Aitchison, from South Africa to explain why their schools exist, what drives families toward them, and what children actually gain in a small, intentionally designed learning environment. Christian traces his school's origins from 1995, when his father resigned from closing down state schools, through a 2004 monastery purchase and steady growth to a deliberate cap of 150 students. He explains the German Abitur system, how international students from China navigate it, and why his school's flexibility to prepare students without being bound by internal grading gives struggling learners a genuine second chance. The episode directly tackles the three most common objections to small schools: poor socialisation, lack of sport, and obscure credentials. Four students, Jesse, Paola, JP and Miles, speak unscripted about being academically rebuilt, forming authentic multi-grade friendships, and learning to resolve conflict rather than avoid it. Parent Philip shares the story of his daughter who said she would rather die than attend her brother's small school, and who then loved it within a day. Teachers and education consultants add evidence from Australian research on parental involvement collapse when small schools are merged, Stellenbosch University research on class size versus intentional pedagogy, the Gates Foundation's one-and-a-half-billion-dollar small-school study, and Bloom's Two Sigma findings. Teacher Ishaan Singh introduces the IQ, EQ and AQ framework used daily at Edu Inc, arguing that emotional intelligence and adversity quotient are the real predictors of university and life success. The conversation closes with a sharp strategic question every small school must be able to answer: if your school disappeared tomorrow, what would your community lose that no large school could replace? For parents weighing a small private school, this episode provides honest voices from inside the model and a confident, evidence-rich counter-narrative to every standard objection. Liz Tran is an executive coach, entrepreneur, and author dedicated to helping people unlock their highest potential. After building a successful career in venture capital—where her clients collectively raised over $1B and created $10B+ in enterprise value—Liz made the bold decision to leave it all behind in pursuit of more aligned work. Now the founder of Inner Genius and author of AQ: A New Kind of Intelligence for a World That's Always Changing, she teaches leaders how to thrive in uncertainty by mastering adaptability. On this episode we talk about: Liz's early lessons about money, leverage, and growing up with scarcity The transition from high-paying VC career to entrepreneurship—and the $300K mistake Why mindset, gratitude, and “energy flow” are critical to making money sustainably How Liz rebuilt her income doing work aligned with her strengths The concept of AQ (Adaptability Quotient) and why it matters more than IQ or EQ today Top 3 Takeaways Hard work alone isn't enough—alignment, leverage, and adaptability are what truly drive wealth. Your mindset around money (scarcity vs. abundance) directly impacts the opportunities you attract. In today's rapidly changing world, your ability to adapt (AQ) is more valuable than intelligence or experience alone. Notable Quotes "A dollar is not just a dollar—if you leverage it, you can make more." "I thought success meant killing myself working, but it was actually about flow." In this episode of FOMO Sapiens, Patrick sits down with Liz Tran, founder of Inner Genius and author of AQ: A New Kind of Intelligence for a World That's Always Changing, to explore a simple but urgent idea: in a world defined by constant disruption, IQ and EQ are no longer enough. What we need now is AQ, the Agility Quotient, which Liz defines as your capacity to handle change, disappointment, and uncertainty. Drawing on a decade of work with over 200 founders and executives, Liz breaks down the four AQ archetypes — the Astronaut, the Firefighter, the Neurosurgeon, and the Novelist — and explains what each one looks like at its best and worst. The conversation gets into how AI is leveling the IQ playing field, why the most impressive résumés can actually signal lower AQ, and how the real divide in today's world isn't political or economic — it's between the people who are undone by change and the people who know how to use it. This week on the Ante Up Poker Podcast, we're coming to you straight from the felt at Gila River Lone Butte, and the energy is unreal. Elle and I are joined at the table by Brownie, a Lone Butte regular, as we soak in what has been an incredible trip filled with great tournaments, even better people, and a poker room that's been buzzing from start to finish. We share some of our favorite moments from the stop, talk about what's made this series so special, and why this place has quickly become a favorite for the players. We also hit the latest headlines in the poker world and hand out a round of shoutouts to members of the A-Team who've been making waves. In Call the Floor, Elliott breaks down a chaotic situation where a drunk player's chip stack collapses into the pot, forcing the floor to step in and reconstruct the action. It's messy, it's confusing, and it's exactly why procedures matter. Then it's time for Hand of the Week as Patrick and I dive into a tricky spot holding AQ suited—one of those hands that looks pretty but can get you into trouble fast. I wrap things up with Joe's One Outer, where I talk about something deeper than strategy—the danger of tying your identity to your poker results, and why separating who you are from how you're running might be the most important move you ever make. What skill is most critical in a world defined by constant change? Leadership coach and author Liz Tran believes it's AQ, or agility quotient. In this episode of Hello Monday, host Jessi Hempel sits down with Liz to explore why traditional measures of intelligence like IQ and even EQ may matter less in today's AI-powered, rapidly evolving workplace. Instead, Liz argues that what really predicts success is our ability to adapt, navigate uncertainty, and respond to change. Liz's new book is AQ: A New Kind of Intelligence for a World That's Always Changing. Drawing from her work with executives, founders, and professionals across industries, she explains how AQ works—and why it's a skill anyone can develop. Together, Jessi and Liz unpack how strengthening your agility quotient can help you navigate career transitions, unexpected challenges at work, and a future where skills evolve faster than ever. Liz and Jessi discuss: What AQ (agility quotient) is—and why it may matter more than IQ or EQ in the modern workplace Why AI and automation are leveling traditional intelligence advantages The four AQ archetypes—Astronaut, Novelist, Firefighter, and Neurosurgeon—and how each handles change How understanding your archetype can guide career decisions, leadership style, and personal growth How to build resilience and adaptability in a world where careers span multiple industries and roles Follow Liz Tran and Jessi Hempel on LinkedIn. Send a textEver feel like your week is choreographing a musical, hosting a gala, and dodging a turkey… all before lunch? We open with the light stuff—kid choreography hacks, bold 80s spring trends, and why buffed nails beat chips—then weave into the deeper heartbeat of the show: how to handle life's plot twists without losing your center. A viral turkey chase in Canada turns into a story about everyday heroism, while a fast-food classic gets a quiet glow‑up that says a lot about listening and improving. From there, we get personal about food routines and that viral 30‑30‑3 idea: 30 grams of protein at breakfast, 30 grams of fiber a day, and three servings of probiotic foods. We share easy wins that actually stick—low‑sugar Greek yogurt, protein waffles, nut butters—and talk about building a pantry that saves you when mornings go off script. Then we step into the big theme: plot twists and AQ, the agility quotient. Are you the neurosurgeon, the novelist, the firefighter, or the astronaut? We compare notes on what happens in our brains when plans change, how to stay steady for our families, and where “being great in emergencies” quietly steals time from long‑term strategy. We round it out with stories that make resilience feel human: renaming stitches as “donuts” to shrink fear, the ethics of clean versions for kid playlists, and why it's okay to send your friend the link to your romper. Movies and songs with famous twists remind us that surprise is baked into good storytelling—and into everyday life. Through it all, we keep a first‑person lens: honest, warm, and a little ridiculous, because that's how real days sound. If this made you smile, think, or breathe a little easier, follow the show, share it with a friend who loves a good pivot, and leave us a quick review so more curious listeners can find us. This week on the Ante Up Poker Podcast, we're celebrating a milestone that belongs to every single member of the A-Team — we hit #1 in the Hobby & Leisure category! This doesn't happen without the everyday poker players who listen, share, comment, and support what we do. We've been knocking on that door for a long time and now the goal is to stay there. In Table Talk, we dive into the noticeable downturn of the L.A. Poker Classic (LAPC) and what it might signal about the Los Angeles tournament scene as a whole. Is it shifting player priorities? A buy-in recalibration? Or something bigger? We break it down. We also have more updates on the upcoming Ante Up Poker Cruise — including what you can expect onboard — and preview the Octopi Poker training special that's designed to help sharpen your edge without breaking the bankroll. In Call the Floor, Elliott gets into the nuts and bolts of what actually constitutes a bet. When do chips across the line become binding? It's a must-listen for tournament and cash players alike. Then Patrick and I roll up our sleeves for Hand of the Week, breaking down a tricky AQ spot that'll have you thinking through ranges, aggression, and decision-making streets ahead. I close things out with Joe's One Outer, talking about something we don't always practice at the table — living in the moment. In this episode, we explore a new dimension of intelligence for navigating our rapidly-changing world. We start with the story of Hiroo Onoda, a soldier whose unwavering commitment to a mission long after its context had vanished becomes a powerful metaphor for how rigidity can keep us stuck. We dive deep into "AQ"—Agility Quotient—with Liz Tran, founder of AQ Learning Lab and author of AQ: A New Kind of Intelligence for a World That's Always Changing.Liz breaks down why AQ matters now more than ever, as change, disappointment, and uncertainty become the hallmarks of modern life, exceeding the rates of just decades ago. We unpack the origins and limitations of IQ and EQ, and highlight how AQ is the urgent intelligence we all need to cultivate. Liz shares the four archetypes for handling change—Astronaut, Neurosurgeon, Novelist, and Firefighter—each representing different strengths and pitfalls. We discuss practical strategies for creative leaders to grow their AQ, especially those ahead of the curve who struggle to bring others with them. This episode is a must-listen for anyone committed to staying agile, relevant, and creative as the world evolves beneath our feet.Key Learnings:AQ – Agility Quotient: AQ is our capacity to handle change, disappointment, and uncertainty. It's the essential intelligence for today's world, complementing IQ and EQ.Rigidity vs. Agility: Sticking to obsolete missions or skillsets—like Hiroo Onoda—illustrates how lack of agility can prevent us from recalibrating when reality shifts. Agility is a mindset, not just a skill.Four Change Archetypes: We all respond to change as either Astronauts, Neurosurgeons, Novelists, or Firefighters, each with unique strengths and blindspots. Awareness of your archetype can help you adapt more skillfully.Durable vs. Technical Skills: Technical skills lose value quickly; it's our durable, transferrable skills—like communication, problem-solving, and reflection—that build true agility and staying power.Bringing Others Along: Especially for creative “astronauts,” practical tools like “giving turn signals” in communication and learning to value the insights of other archetypes are essential for inspiring and leading change.Get full interviews and bonus content for free! #691: Your IQ used to be your biggest career asset. Then AI scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT, the SAT, and the MCAT — and suddenly the cognitive skills that once set you apart became something anyone can access for free. Executive coach Liz Tran joins us to talk about what actually drives career success and earning power now. Her answer: AQ, or agility quotient — your capacity to handle change, learn new skills fast, and keep moving when your industry shifts beneath you. The personal finance implications are real. The average half-life of a technical skill is five years. In tech, it's closer to two. That means the expertise you spent years building — and the salary that came with it — can become obsolete faster than a mortgage term. Tran argues the people who protect their earning power long-term aren't necessarily the most credentialed. They're the ones who can unlearn old ways and adapt quickly. We walk through her four AQ archetypes — the neurosurgeon, the astronaut, the firefighter, and the novelist — each with a different default approach to change. Knowing your type helps you understand where you might freeze up during a career pivot, a market downturn, or a high-stakes financial decision. Tran points out that analysis paralysis, something many real estate investors and career changers know well, often comes down to archetype — and there are practical fixes. We also cover her ABCD framework — anchors, bets, classroom, and discomfort — which maps out how to stay functional and decisive during volatile periods. And we get into the six thinking hats theory, specifically how pairing black-hat (downside) thinking with green-hat (future-focused) thinking can sharpen any major financial or career decision. rWotD Episode 3209: Binding of Isaac Welcome to random Wiki of the Day, your journey through Wikipedia's vast and varied content, one random article at a time. The random article for Sunday, 15 February 2026, is Binding of Isaac. The Binding of Isaac (Hebrew: עֲקֵידַת יִצְחַק, romanized: ʿAqēḏaṯ Yīṣḥaq), or simply "The Binding" (הָעֲקֵידָה, hāʿAqēḏā), is a story from chapter 22 of the Book of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible. In the biblical narrative, God orders Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac on the mountain called Jehovah-jireh in the region of Moriah. As Abraham begins to comply, having bound Isaac to an altar, he is stopped by the Angel of the Lord; a ram appears and is slaughtered in Isaac's stead, as God commends Abraham's pious obedience to offer his son as a human sacrifice.Especially in art, the episode is often called the Sacrifice of Isaac, although in the end Isaac was not sacrificed. Various scholars suggest that the original story of Abraham and Isaac may have been of a completed human sacrifice, later altered by redactors to substitute a ram for Isaac, and some traditions, including certain Jewish and Christian interpretations, maintain that Isaac actually was sacrificed. In addition to being addressed by modern scholarship, this biblical episode has been the focus of a great deal of commentary in traditional sources of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:08 UTC on Sunday, 15 February 2026.For the full current version of the article, see Binding of Isaac on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Olivia.

On Call the Floor, Elliott weighs in on a tournament situation where a player didn't get their rebuy in on time. Was it a tough break or just part of the rules? You know Elliott will break it down from the tournament director's perspective. In this week's Hand of the Week, Patrick and I analyze a hand featuring AQ and dig into the decision points street by street. For decades, we were sold a lie: get good grades, be smart, keep climbing—and success will magically follow. But in a world of nonstop disruption, AI, political chaos, and careers that don't come with ladders anymore, IQ and EQ alone aren't cutting it. In this episode of This Is Woman's Work, Nicole Kalil sits down with Liz Tran, executive coach, former venture capitalist, and author of AQ: A New Kind of Intelligence for a World That's Always Changing, to unpack the intelligence that actually determines who thrives when everything keeps shifting: AQ (Agility Quotient). AQ isn't about being perfect, flexible to the point of burnout, or endlessly accommodating. It's about how well you adapt to change, uncertainty, and the unknown—without losing yourself in the process. Liz breaks down the four AQ archetypes (Firefighter, Novelist, Astronaut, Neurosurgeon), how proactive vs. reactive change impacts your life and career, and why adaptability is no longer optional—it's survival. This conversation will change how you think about intelligence, leadership, confidence, and what it really takes to succeed when the rules keep changing mid-game. Bottom line: Intelligence isn't just what you know—it's how you respond when what you know stops working. Thank you to our sponsors! Sex is a skill. Beducated is where you learn it. Liz Tran, former venture capital executive and author of AQ, examines why agility—not raw intelligence or experience—has become the defining capability for leaders operating amid persistent uncertainty. She introduces Agility Quotient (AQ) as the capacity to adapt thinking, identity, and decision-making when familiar structures no longer apply. Tran explains how traditional markers of success, from credentials to past wins, can quietly become liabilities when environments shift. She describes how the pandemic, rapid AI adoption, and labor volatility exposed a gap between competence in stable conditions and effectiveness under change. Agility, in her view, is not a personality trait but a practiced discipline. Key insights from the discussion include: Why leaders who anchor identity too tightly to past success struggle most when conditions change, and how agility begins with loosening that attachment. How burnout often reflects a loss of agency rather than excessive workload, and why articulating a future-facing personal strategy restores momentum. What recent layoff patterns reveal about how organizations are selecting for adaptability rather than tenure or historical performance. How a shift from a "know-it-all" posture to a "learn-it-all" posture improves judgment, learning speed, and organizational resilience. Why confidence is built through repeated cycles of disruption and recovery, not through mastery alone. How leaders can use AI as leverage without eroding core human capabilities such as critical thinking, synthesis, and judgment. Tran also reflects on how early beliefs shape leadership behavior long after circumstances change, and why agility requires examining those assumptions rather than optimizing around them. She argues that reinvention is not episodic but continuous, and that career durability now depends on the ability to operate without fixed reference points. This episode offers a practical framework for executives seeking relevance and steadiness in volatile environments, positioning agility quotient as a core leadership capability for the next decade. The way app users discover, evaluate, and even build apps is starting to shift — and large language models are at the center of that change. As AI platforms evolve beyond chat and into full ecosystems, app growth teams are facing a new set of questions around discovery, distribution, and long-term strategy. In this episode, we're sharing an App Talks interview with Dan Shabtay, Co-Founder of Z2A Digital. Dan explores how the emerging app ecosystem inside ChatGPT is opening the door to a new wave of app creation — from no-code tools and solo entrepreneurs to entirely new user acquisition channels embedded directly within AI platforms. Today's topics include: Dan explains how ChatGPT is evolving into a platform with its own internal app marketplace, giving developers access to hundreds of millions of users without relying on traditional app stores. Entrepreneurs and creators can now build and publish functional apps without engineering teams, fundamentally changing who can participate in app development and how quickly new ideas can reach the market. Unlike iOS or Google Play, apps built inside LLM ecosystems immediately tap into an existing, engaged user base, reducing friction around discovery and distribution. Traditional user acquisition isn't disappearing, but it is shifting. Classic channels will coexist with new LLM-based acquisition models, including potential in-chat placements and AI-native ad formats. Beyond IQ and EQ, adaptability becomes the defining skill for app growth teams navigating rapid, AI-driven change. Phil Hellmuth has provided more than his fair share of entertainment over the past few decades on poker live streams, and that trend continues during a cash game on PokerGO's No Gamble, No Future. In a multi way bomb pot, Hellmuth and DrDad both make the same full house on the river, and a chopped pot seems inevitable. However, is this the moment Phil Hellmuth makes a huge mistake and lays down his boat after DrDad overbets? When playing cash games or poker tournaments, you generally want to use larger bet sizes when you have a nut advantage. This means your range contains more premium hands than your opponent's. However, this approach changes in multi way pots. When betting into multiple opponents on the flop, turn, or river, it is usually best to use smaller bet sizes, as the equity in the pot is spread out and players are less likely to fold. Phil Hellmuth ‘The Poker Brat' has won more than $30,700,000 in live poker tournaments putting him in the top 100 on the all time money list. Hellmuth has 17 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets which is currently the most that any poker player has won! Hellmuth is very well known for his antics and outbursts at the poker table which is why he is known as ‘The Poker Brat'. Since 2006, Hellmuth has played on over 198 live streamed poker cash games and has lost more than $800,000. Daniel Schill or ‘DrDad' is an American amateur poker player from Michigan. Schill is a biomedical researcher with a Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology. He has won over $220,000 in live poker tournaments. Schill's biggest cash of $84,676 came after he finished 6th in the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship at the 2025 Word Series of Poker (WSOP). Since 2025, DrDad has played 1 live streamed poker cash game and won more than $18,000. No Gamble, No Future is an American poker television program that airs on PokerGO, and premiered on August 1, 2022. The poker show provides cash game focused entertainment with a variety of stakes and poker players. It has featured players such as Phil Hellmuth ‘The Poker Brat', Andrew Robl ‘good2cu', Eric Persson, Patrick Antonius ‘The Finn', Matt Berkey, Nik Airball, Rampage Poker, Wolfgang Poker, and Daniel Negreanu ‘DNegs' ‘KidPoker'. This episode from season 7 featured Phil Hellmuth, Joe Stapleton, Nick Wright & Jennifer Tilly. Preflop:Phil Hellmuth in the small blind, Jennifer Tilly in the big blind, Nick Wright from under the gun, Rips out of the lojack, Lightning from the hijack, Joe Stapleton from the cutoff, and DrDad on the button all agree to do a $100 bomb pot. Flop – Js Jd 8d:Hellmuth is first to act and checks, having flopped best with A8 of hearts, which is now two pair, jacks and eights. Tilly checks her pair of sixes and Wright decides to check his 94o that only has a backdoor straight possibility. With K7o, Rips also has a backdoor straight draw so he decides to check. Stapleton holds AQ of diamonds and has a flush draw with a backdoor straight draw of his own. Stapleton fires out for the minimum bet of $50. DrDad has the same two pair as Hellmuth but he has the inferior kicker. He chooses to raise to $300, and is met by a cold 3-bet from Hellmuth to $800. The action folds back to the popular poker commentator, Stapleton, who has been covering the European Poker Tour (EPT) for over a decade. Stapleton reluctantly folds his two overcards and ace-high flush draw. DrDad calls, and the two poker players head to the turn. Turn – 4h:Hellmuth slows down and checks the four of hearts on the turn and DrDad checks behind. River – 8s:Both players improve to the same boat, eights full of jacks on the river, and a chop pot looks likely. Hellmuth checks for the last time, and DrDad chooses to overbet for $2,500. Will Hellmuth call this off and take half the pot, or will his white magic fail him and he will incorrectly fold a full house? Stay tuned to the end of this poker video to see what happens! Alan Keating entertains poker fans across the globe on high stakes cash streams with his fearless, crazy, and loose style. Now, Keating is taking his shot at poker tournaments. In this poker hand from the $25,000 buy-in 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise Main Event, he tangles with poker professional Alex Kulev near the money bubble. Kulev leads out on the flop and turn with complete air before putting Keating to the test for the majority of his stack on the river. Has Alan Keating lost his mind, because with just ace-high, Keating has no real option but to fold, right? When playing in a poker tournament, and you have 50bb or less after defending out of the big blind, it is game theory optimal (GTO) to have a leading strategy on certain flops that are good for your range. For example, on a low, wet & connected flop, the big blind will often have a slight range advantage since a lot of the suited and offsuit holdings that connect well on these flops will be defended. Again, it is important to make sure you are balanced in these spots by leading not only with bluffs, but also with value hands so that your opponents cannot easily exploit you. Alan Keating is a well known high stakes cash game poker player often playing in the biggest live cash games and private poker games around the world. He has over $230,000 in live tournament poker earnings. Keating has become more of a regular on the Hustler Casino Live stream. He is extremely popular amongst poker fans partly due to the fact that he wins and loses millions of dollars whilst always carrying a smile on his face! Keating has been seen associating with poker celebrities such as Dan Bilzerian. Alex Kulev ‘FutureofMe' is a professional poker player from Bulgaria. He has over $15,500,000 in live tournament poker earnings which puts him in the top 100 on the all time money list and 1st on Bulgaria's all time money list. He has 1 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet which came from a $50,000 buy-in event at the 2023 WSOP. Kulev won $2,087,073 for his first place finish. The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise was a No-Limit Hold'em and Mixed Games festival held from December 3rd – 14th at the Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. Featuring 15 bracelet events that culminated in the $25,000 Main Event. $25,000 – 2024 WSOP Paradise Main Event – Results 1st: Yinan Zhou – China – $6,000,0002nd: Marcelo Aziz Jr. – Brazil – $4,600,0003rd: Mustapha Kanit ‘lasagnaaammm' – Italy – $3,600,0004th: Liv Boeree – England – $2,800,0005th: Christopher Nguyen – Germany – $2,100,0006th: Michael Addamo ‘imluckbox' – Australia – $1,650,0007th: Justin Bonomo ‘ZeeJustin' – U.S.A. – $1,300,0008th: Vadzim Lipauka – Belarus – $1,000,0009th: George Lehmann – Germany – $750,000 Preflop:Nearing the money bubble of the 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise Main Event, Alan Keating raises to 50,000 from the cutoff with AQ of diamonds and Alex Kulev defends with 83 of hearts in the big blind. Flop – 7s 6c 4c:The wet, low, connected flop is great for Kulev's range and he knows this, as he decides to donk lead for 35,000 with a gutshot straight draw. Keating calls with just two broadway cards, no backdoor draws but is currently ahead with his ace-high. Turn – 9c:The front door flush comes in on the nine of clubs turn, causing Kulev to lead out again, this time for 155,000, having picked up an open ended straight draw. Keating calls one more time still holding the strongest hand out of the two. River – 9s:The board pairing river doesn't deter Kulev as he leads out for the last time with a big bet size of 430,000 with just eight-high. Surely Keating can't call with ace-high and risk bubbling the tournament? Stay tuned to this poker video to see what Keating decides to do. Donate (no account necessary) | Subscribe (account required) Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this Monday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, we cover Charlie Kirk's memorial service and its powerful messages of faith and forgiveness, Trump's crackdown on Harvard and Berkeley, fresh threats from al Qaeda inside the U.S., Trump's push to retake Bagram air base, TikTok's murky new ownership deal, Argentina's fight against socialism, and what's ahead this week on the Wright Report. Quick hits to launch your week with the facts shaping America and the world. Charlie Kirk Memorial in Arizona: Erika Kirk vowed, “No one will ever forget my husband's name — and I will make sure of it.” She forgave the assassin, telling the crowd, “That man… I forgive him.” Trump honored Kirk as a man of grace but joked, “Charlie did not hate his opponents. That's where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponents, and I don't want the best for them.” Trump Hits Harvard and Berkeley: The White House placed Harvard on a federal watchlist restricting access to $550 million in funds, citing civil rights violations and leftist violence. UC Berkeley handed over names of 160 students and staff after pressure to expose antisemitic and radical faculty. Bryan says this is Trump waging the fight “where it belongs — in their pocketbooks.” Al Qaeda Plot Inside the U.S.: The National Counterterrorism Center warns AQ operatives from Yemen are in multiple American cities. Rumors suggest they may pose as police or medics during future attacks. Bryan urges vigilance: “While we may be done with Radical Islam — it is not done with us.” Trump Demands Afghanistan Return Bagram Air Base: The president warned the Taliban, “Bad things are going to happen” if the U.S. is not given control of the base, citing the need to monitor China's nearby nuclear sites. Kabul insists “not one inch” will be ceded. TikTok's U.S. Ownership Deal: Fox's Murdoch, Oracle's Larry Ellison, and Dell's Michael Dell will sit on TikTok's new U.S. board, with one seat reserved for a Chinese official. Trump insists user data will be controlled on U.S. soil, but skeptics warn Xi will not give up his propaganda tool without concessions. Argentina's Milei Meets Trump: With inflation down from 250 percent to 34 percent, Milei still faces socialist backlash at home. Trump may use the U.S. Exchange Stabilization Fund to provide a financial lifeline. Bryan warns, “Never underestimate a death cult. Marxists don't get tired of fighting.” Looking Ahead This Week: Trump promises revelations about autism and Tylenol, a bailout for struggling farmers and truckers, and big updates on immigration, Biden's mental decline, and global conflicts from Gaza to the Pacific.
