Is there anything better than little asian kids learning english? We think not. Time to talk Ace Ventura and our favorite movies to quote as a kid. Next, For All Mankind is a cool show, but is there a hidden message? Tim Walz is somehow still employed, but we got those Houthi's. Phil Ivey is the kind of cards and ran a great scam in European Casinos. You know, normal talk.

We officially have 100 podcasts in the books since taking over the podcast. What a ride it has been. Also make sure to check out the December issue of the magazine. The link for that is below. Elle and I talk about the fun stories that have come out of Vegas and the Bahamas this last week. The ClubWPT Gold Invitational Freeroll has generated stories just like the old days of poker in my opinion, and even Phil Ivey got nostalgic playing $2/$5 with fans. This week's "Call the Floor" has Elliott ruling on a situation where the dealer announces the wrong pot size in a Pot Limit game. Patrick and I also played Aces with a surprise twist at the end in our "HOTW". In "Joe's One Outer" I end the show talking GTO vs. Gut instincts as inspired by Liv Boeree's admission to how she played in the $25k Super Main Event. In the 843rd episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Kyna England are joined at Level 9 Studio by Joey Ingram, who served as special co-host to talk about the latest happenings at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) as well as his new partnership with GTO Wizard. The biggest story is that of Scott Seiver, who captured his third bracelet of the summer and became just the seventh player in history to win three bracelets in the same year. Could he make history by becoming the only player to win four? He has two more weeks to do it. Despite winning three bracelets, you might be surprised to learn that Seiver is far from a lock to win the 2024 WSOP Player of the Year; in fact, Jeremy Ausmus, who hasn't won a bracelet this summer, isn't too far behind in points thanks to a bevy of final table appearances. Would a non-bracelet winner winning POY over a three-time winner cause a controversy? The crew discusses that very possibility. Chad then shares pictures and videos from the exclusive Global Poker party that took place at PokerGO Studio on Sunday night, while Ingram opens up about all things GTO Wizard. As usual, you'll also get your dose of other WSOP bracelet winners and a $25K Fantasy update. Oh, and did we mention talk about Daniel Negreanu, Nick Schulman, and Phil Ivey? Because that's all in there too. A new PokerNews Podcast will drop twice weekly during the 2024 WSOP every Tuesday and Friday at 8a PT / 11a ET / 4p UK time. In the 837th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway is joined by Johnnie Vibes and PokerNews Ontario Ambassador Kyle Anderson at Level 9 in Las Vegas and talk about the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP)! Not only do they discuss the controversial shorted-pot hand from the Gladiators of Poker involving Men Nguyen, but Chad actually chatted briefly with "The Master" about it. That led to a larger conversation about Men "The Master" Nguyen's reputation and legacy within the poker world, and in turn to a discussion on fact versus fiction. From there, Anderson talks a bit about his ambassador duties for Ontario, and then talks about being put in the spotlight by Phil Hellmuth, which inspired Johnnie Vibes to chime in with his desire to be scolded by the "Poker Brat." Speaking of Vibes, he shared the details behind how the chip stack of Adrian Mateos went missing after a break in the $2,500 Freezeout, and then the crew dive headfirst into Nick Schulman winning the $25,000 High Roller for his fifth WSOP gold bracelet. Is he destined for the Poker Hall of Fame next year over Scott Seiver? It's a coin flip according to the panel. The crew highlights a handful of other WSOP bracelet winners from the past few days, and the preview the Phil Ivey vs. Jason Mercier vs. Danny Wong finale in the $10,000 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw event. Finally, get an update on the $25K Fantasy league and learn who won the BetMGM Poker Championship for $613,914! Since recording this episode back in 2018, Phil Hellmuth has won two more World Series of Poker Championships increasing his total to 17. When we talked to him, he was already well ahead of all other players in the history of the game. He has now further distanced himself from the competition easily answering the question of who is the greatest tournament poker player of all-time. This was one of our all-time most listened to interviews and we hope you enjoy listening to the "Poker Brat" as much as we enjoyed talking with him. See the show notes below ... ORIGINAL SHOW NOTES Nobody has won more World Series of Poker championships than Phil Hellmuth Jr. He won his 15th WSOP Bracelet in the summer of 2018, which puts him far ahead of Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, and Doyle Brunson (who all have 10 bracelets). Hellmuth also holds the record for most cash finishes and most final table appearances at the World Series of Poker. In 1989, the 24-year old Hellmuth became the youngest person ever to win the WSOP Main Event when he defeated legendary Johnny Chan. “The Poker” Brat as he is known for his colorful and competitive personality, was elected to the Poker Hall of Fame in 2007. He has also written a New York Times best-seller (“Play Poker Like the Pros”), as well as his autobiography (“Poker Brat”). Hellmuth also is very active in raising funds for charities. He has raised more than $50 million in his lifetime for charitable causes and organizations.
