Hi everyone and welcome back to the active mother's podcast. It has been a long time since I've edited an episode. Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of the running through pregnancy series of active mothers podcast. Running is one of my passions and I know how difficult it is to stop running when it's needed. But I was curious to know how some mums did carry on running throughout their pregnancies. And by chatting with them it just shows how different we all are from each other. And that we shouldn't compare our journeys to other mums, but rather be inspired and carry on listening to our bodies and take this journey one day at a time.Today we chatted with Nikki, a very active running mum. She was 37 weeks pregnant when we had this conversation. She managed to run throughout this pregnancy together with her running buddies. She tells us how she felt in her previous pregnancies and how that compared to the current one. I hope you enjoy listening. Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of the active mother's podcast. The aim of this mini-series is to be able to share real inspirational stories of amazing women that ran throughout their pregnancy. To understand their running background, how they manage to run throughout pregnancy, and the difficulties they faced along the way. We are starting with what I would say a very brave and courageous mom, who decided at 7 months pregnant to sign up for one of the most difficult ultra races around the world, only to be completed when her child was 11 months old. Today she will not only share with us her running experience while pregnant but how she completed the Namibia ultra race in the Desert after her first child. This is one of the oldest deserts in the world, a vast region of Southern Africa that has been dry for more than 50 million years. Daytime temperatures at this time of year can reach up to 50 degrees but as night begins to fall, at sunset the temperatures can drop to near freezing.Connect with Kasia on IG @Kasiaorz I hope you enjoy listening!Lana xSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dayswithl)

Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of active mothers podcast. I hope you are all feeling well. If you are a mom listening to this podcast I hope your pregnancy is going well. Remember to take one day at a time. In today's episode, I chat with an incredible new mom, Makenna Miller. She managed to run 1 mile under 6 minutes at 9 months pregnant. But this did not come out of anywhere, she has been training at a professional level before her pregnancy and so continued to train throughout under her doctor's supervision. Pregnant women who haven't been running should not get up today and try to do what Makenna did. Remember that it takes time and your body to adjust to a new activity. Or an activity that has been put to a stop for whatever reason. So I hope you enjoy listening to her journey. Introducing the Brand Mammarelli to youCheshire based brand Mammarelli was created in 2018, by two sisters Joanna and Alexandra. Fitness enthusiast Jo, who worked with professional sports teams and struggled to find quality gym wear that looked fashionable during her first pregnancy, teamed up with her sister Ali, a personal trainer and former buyer. So it felt like they had the perfect combination of skills and fire in their bellies to develop a new range. The pair have spent months developing a collection that has been technically designed with sophisticated versatility in mind to support women's bodies transitioning through pregnancy, nursing and beyond with effortless style and comfort. The best things always seem to come when you're least expecting it.The idea began when Jo was having a bad day with her baby boy and Ali joked about her unflattering outfit choice which pushed her over the edge… and so Mammarelli was born.Whether it's in the gym or running around after kids, we want you to look elegant in our comfortable and functional clothes. Our brand is about great fitting athleisurewear keeping you looking chic and feeling great whilst giving you the subtle option to nurse on the move if needed.Because being a mum is hard enough.Exercising when pregnant has so many health benefits for both mother and baby and it's equally important that you feel confident exercising at such a crucial time when you're physically and mentally going through a lot of change. We know motherhood is an extreme sport, which is why you need the right activewear to perform at your best and give you one less thing to worry about!!Mammarelli's capsule collection includes leggings, t-shirts, and jumpers, all of which have been specifically designed to be worn both pre and postnatally.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dayswithl)
