Join us for a cruise recap with a first-timer twist! Sheila is joined by Ric and his wife, Brandi, along with a very special first-time guest—Brandi's mom, Debbie! The group recently set sail aboard Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas from Port Tampa Bay, with stops in Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Perfect Day at CocoCay. For Debbie, it wasn't just her first time on Enchantment—it was her first cruise ever, and she's sharing what the whole experience was like through completely fresh eyes. Meanwhile, Ric and Brandi compare their experience aboard Enchantment of the Seas with previous sailings on Disney Cruise Line's Disney Fantasy and Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas. How does an older, smaller Royal Caribbean ship stack up? What surprised them? What did they love? And where did they find themselves saying, "Well… Disney does this differently"? They're talking food, entertainment, activities, ports of call, the ship itself, and all those little moments that can make—or break—a cruise vacation. From first impressions of Enchantment to adventures ashore and plenty of family fun along the way, there's a lot to talk about. Did Enchantment of the Seas live up to its name? Has Royal Caribbean gained a brand-new cruiser? And after Cozumel, Costa Maya, CocoCay, countless meals, shows, activities, and a whole lot of family time, what would everyone do differently next time? There's almost as much to unpack in this episode as there was in their luggage. So grab your SeaPass, find a chair by the pool, and join us as we set sail for another episode of Monorail Tales! Thanks for sailing along with us on this episode of Monorail Tales! If you enjoyed the voyage, be sure to subscribe wherever you get your podcasts, leave us a review, and share the show with your fellow Disney and cruising friends. Royal Caribbean has extended its suspension of ship calls to Labadee, its leased private destination in Haiti, through June 2027, citing safety concerns tied to conditions in the country. The decision cancels 62 scheduled visits in early 2027 across nine ships and reroutes calls to ports including Nassau, Perfect Day at CocoCay, Puerto Plata, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. At Port Canaveral on July 17, 2026, the Brevard County Sheriff's Office took six cruise guests into custody on outstanding warrants; no onboard misconduct or delays were reported, and all ships departed on schedule. And Victory Cruise Lines will add Erie, Pennsylvania to its 2028 Great Lakes Voyage aboard the 190-passenger Victory I and Victory II, with an inaugural call set for July 21, 2028.

Send us Fan MailWhat if the greatest gift God wants to give you today isn't a solution, a breakthrough, or an answered prayer—but His presence? In this episode, I share stories of unexpected encounters with God, from a tiny hummingbird that appeared outside my window in Cozumel to simple moments of loving and serving others. Together we'll explore how God often shows up in the ordinary, the unexpected, and the spaces we intentionally leave open for Him.We'll talk about why slowing down matters, how God's presence often comes through people, and why creating margin in our lives allows us to recognize His fingerprints all around us.If you've been feeling rushed, overwhelmed, or distracted, this episode is an invitation to pause, be still, and ask a simple question: "God, where are You today?"Because wherever His presence is, there is fullness of joy.Scriptures: Psalm 16:11 Psalm 46:10 Matthew 25:40 1 John 4:16 Ephesians 5:16-17 God is still speaking. Sometimes we just need to slow down enough to hear Him.

Spring break on a brand new Disney Cruise Line ship sounds like pure pixie dust, until you realize everyone else had the exact same idea. We sit down with our returning guest Amy, a proud DCL veteran, to hear what it's really like sailing the Disney Destiny during peak season with a five year old who lives for Marvel heroes, big character moments, and nonstop kid club time.We dig into the full Disney Destiny review: the five night itinerary with a stop at Cozumel (and why staying onboard can be the right call), plus a Castaway Cay day that still proves why Disney's private island is many cruisers' happy place. Amy shares the practical details that matter when you're planning a Disney cruise, from the family veranda stateroom setup and surprise fireworks views to how sea days feel on a Wish class ship packed with activities like Uncharted Adventure. Then we get candid about the tradeoffs of a spring break cruise. We talk Hercules hype, what worked brilliantly, and what felt like a production still smoothing out timing and tech. We also unpack crowd pressure, long lines for villains like Dr. Facilier, and the kind of seat saving chaos that can make a premium vacation feel stressful. On the brighter side, we cover rotational dining (Pride Lands, Marvel, 1923), the Haunted Mansion Parlor as a next level themed bar, and why the Rainforest Room pass can be the best money you spend onboard. If you enjoy honest trip reports and Disney Cruise Line planning tips, subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a rating and review so more Disney fans can find us. This week we start with Kristian Blummenfelt confirming he'll race Challenge Roth. The discussion quickly turns to whether Roth could be the place he finally breaks the Ironman world record in a way that truly stands, given the ongoing debate around his tide-assisted swim in Cozumel. We then move to Kat Matthews, also lining up for Roth, and the growing question of whether Laura Philipp will join her on the start line. With the women's field already looking strong, the potential matchup adds another layer of intrigue to the race. From there, we zoom out and talk more broadly about Challenge Roth itself, the event, the brand, and why it continues to attract the biggest names in long-distance racing outside the Ironman system. We then recap Challenge Wanaka, where Jack Moody and Tamara Jewett took convincing wins. The conversation shifts to Lionel Sanders and his 2026 season, including the notable decision not to race Oceanside, a race he has historically performed very well at. We finish the episode discussing a recent LinkedIn post about the PTO actively sourcing celebrities and influencers for races, and whether that focus makes sense when many believe the priority should remain on professional athletes. September 24, 1963. Opa-locka, Florida. 29-year old pilot Geoffrey Sullivan takes off in a twin-engine Beechcraft Travel Air plane from Opa-locka Airport and is accompanied by 37-year old freelance journalist Alex Rorke, as well as a passenger believed to be a Cuban exile named Enrique Molina Garcia. Over the next several hours, Sullivan flies through the Caribbean and changes his flight plan several times, but after stopping to refuel on the island of Cozumel, the plane and its passengers vanish without a trace. Since Sullivan and Rorke were heavily involved in anti-communist missions against Fidel Castro, it is rumoured that they may have been captured and held prisoner in Cuba for years. Even though Sullivan's daughter eventually files a wrongful death lawsuit against the Cuban government, she receives no conclusive answers about what happened. On this week's episode, we explore a Cold War era mystery about a missing aircraft and two American men.
