Drunk in a Graveyard is hosted by Robin Goodfellow and Scott Floronic and explores the weird world of horror, cult movies and dark music with an emphasis on the independent side of things. Join them every week as they explore strange and overlooked movies, discuss upcoming horror films and metal alb…
Episode 181 – it's a graveyard variety show as the crew discusses the sordid careers of the Skarsgård family, Nosferatu (2024) and Count Orlok being a grower and not, in fact, a shower. We debate who's the the most powerful Skarsgård, talk about Taylor Sheridan and shows for men(tm), Special OPS: Lioness, Michael Fassbender and The Agency, having to turn off What Remains because it was too Swedish and sad and watching the Jerry Springer documentary on Netflix instead.
It's a tit bit nipply outside so the graveyard crew is exploring True Detective Night Country (Season 4) and asking hard questions like what exactly is Night Country, why was this show made, who told Jodi Foster to say the word "haters", and the moral implications about essentially telling your audience to an hero.
Episode 179 and it's a been a while for the ol' Graveyard crew. This time the crew is taking a bit of a dive into the sordid (and sometimes sexy!) world of 1990s made for TV true crime movies, and this one is based on the Betty Broderick story featuring the ultimate woman scorned who was driven (literally) to kill her husband and her younger replacement.
Episode 178 means it's time for us to discuss Alex Garland's film MEN. There's no way on this or any other that any unsuspecting viewer of this film could predict the ending, and neither could we. So come listen to the gang lose their shit about HP Lovecraft, Old Gregg, and much more. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 177 means it's Morbin' Time, as the crew takes on the hilariously bad Jared Leto / Matt Smith vampire flop film MORBIUS. Since the internet has meme'd it to absolute hell and back, the crew just has to weigh in, so join in for discussions of casually renaming a random child, Matt Smith looking like a potato man, Jared Leto's sex cult, and debate about if anyone in the world is named Pubert. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 176 finds the crew taking a trip down mammary lane and taking a peek at a film from the early aughts which makes very little sense – SWIMFAN. Remember AOL Instant Messenger? What about going on blind dates? Silent Hill 2? Ah, the early 2000's had all kinds of stuff going for it. Join us as we discuss being such big sports ball fans you're willing to kill over it. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 175 finds the crew taking a trip to Bulgaria with the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022. We talk about if Leatherface is ARMY⁷, why TCM2022 is just fine(TM) vanilla ice cream, why influencers are the worst, and why we really need those chainsaw corkscrews like now. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 174 finds the crew checking out actually good remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) again and reminiscing on early aughts gory horror films that our parents would drop us off at and inevitably wonder why we are so friggin' bonkers, why we almost rewatched the bad Jensen Ackles My Bloody Valentine, why Hollywood needs to take notes and give us back our gore, why dating Armie Hammer may result in loss of fleshy limbs, and of course, our own personal dread at the upcoming Bulgarian Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 173 and the crew has made good on the threat to see the fifth Scream movie, sorry, “5-cream” as the kids say. Unfortunately the crew finds themselves once again to be the cheese standing alone as they explore whatever in god's name a “requel” is, why meta is bad actually, and attempt (poorly) to fill in the many massive plot holes in Scream that one could drive a truck, and or series of trucks, through. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 172 and the crew is full of poo because the film Antlers kinda stunk it up in the Drunk in a Graveyard headquarters. Based on a two-page short story, Antlers attempts to fill out those two pages into two hours and fails miserably despite having a very cool monster – the Anishinaabe legendary creature – the wendigo / wiindigo. There's a psychotic tirade about shitty Canadian department store chain Fields, a brief history of the town of Hope, BC, and a few soju bombs to get the party going. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 171 has the resident Resident Evil stans Rigs and Robin absolutely destroying the new and extremely unfortunate RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY and Scotty (who isn't an RE stan but is pretty tight with RE but now is just aiight, but he still rolls with RE) is along for the ride. We ask the important questions like why show a random clip of the Ashford twins with no backstory or context, where were all the typewriters and green herb (420 blaze it), and really – who let Wesker dump out in them? ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 170 has the crew checking out James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD, which unfortunately does not have Katana in it. HER NAME IS KATANA, she's got my back. I'd advise not be killed by her because her sword traps the souls of its victims. It does however have Joel Kinnaman and John Cena in it and we just kinda liked it (tm) so make sure to listen in! ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Episode 169 has the crew feeling sexier than ever, and this week they take on Vinegar Syndrome's release of drug-fuelled puppet sex romp LET MY PUPPETS COME. Spreading open some steaming hot dialogue, the cunning linguists of DIAG go over a couple of raunchy sex quizzes, and much buffoonery is had. Happy 169. Nice. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The crew made good on their threats to return to the Conjuring universe this week as they dive into the newly released and highly phoned in THE CONJURING 3: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT. There's a discussion about responsible muff ownership, getting away with murder, the pros and cons of demonic possession, and more talk of the Graveyard's favourite charlatans - Ed & Lorraine Warren. ************************************************* “Kill, Kill, Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. It's been a minute but the crew returns and this time they're late to the haunted doll party again as they discuss Annabelle Comes Home for some reason, but this time the crew is deep in the dark woods of a cabin in the forest. And just like Annabelle, they can't be contained as hatred for the Warrens spills over into an insane religious tirade about Dracula 2000. ************************************************* “Kill,Kill,Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. This week the crew broke down and watched one of the most hyped yet also potentially most hated directors cuts to come out in a long time - The Snyder cut of Justice League. We sure have some thinks and thought's about this massive 4 hour movie, mom's box and Henry Cavill's super abs. ************************************************* “Kill,Kill,Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. Our newest episode has the usual trio of amusing idiots talking about the old and the new, specifically the Wrong Turn series. First up is a look at one of Robin and Scott's favourite early aught sequels - Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, which stars Henry Rollins, the disembodied voice of Patton Oswalt and a pretty sick Battle Royale shirt. After that it's all about the 2021 franchise reboot Wrong Turn, which is a much better movie than its pedigree would make you think it is. Well, for the most part. Spoiler warnings galore for both, but in particular Wrong Turn 2021 as we dig into what worked for us and what really didn't. ************************************************* “Kill,Kill,Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. Merry Chrysler and Happy Toyota-thon! The crew is back with a holiday themed episode about BREAK, Russia's answer to Frozen except worse because Russia as well as the infamous and infamously bad Black Christmas 2019. Stolen Diva-Cups, one liners, and Urban Outfitters are ever present, and the crew discusses the true meaning of Christmas/Krambler - "yeet or get yeeted". ************************************************* “Kill,Kill,Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. Demonic feelings abound this week as the crew returns for an all possession power-hour by checking out 2018's disjointed mess "The Possession of Hannah Grace" about a sexy cop who likes Xanny bars and has TRAUMA and starts working at the morgue for some reason because that's how promotions work. The crew also takes a peek at "The Possession of Michael King", which has lots of ants, possibly in pants as it follows a Reddit edgelord atheist as he smokes DMT in a graveyard (on brand for us), phones up the Devil and watches some weirdos pretend to be in an ant colony like the group on Facebook. ************************************************* “Kill,Kill,Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. It's been a minute but the crew returns! This week for Episode 162, they're chatting about The Craft: Legacy & I Know What You Did Last Summer. Rigby learns that David Duchovny is 60 and struggles with the concept. There's talk of fart magick, fish queens, Ryan Phillipe not being the beefy hunk we remember, the fact that Robin and Rigby would likely never find a body in their vehicles, and why Blumhouse ruins everything. So throw on your coveralls that don't quite cover all, and join us. ************************************************* “Kill,Kill,Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. Podoween starts again! So, what is Podoween you might be wondering? It's a challenge that we started in October of 2018 where we here at DrunkInAGraveyard.com read a nice little spooky story or release a podcast episode everyday for the month of October. Storytelling and scary stories were so integral to us as growing up, and since everything kinda sucks we wanted to share some spookiness with you for the spookiest month of the year. We are joined this year by some wonderful horror fiction authors, some creepypasta and spooky spaghetti makers, and today for Day 26 we are diving back into the world of spooky spaghetti with a short creepypasta called Camping. ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. his year for October/Halloween the crew is taking a little trip down memory / mammary lane to remember the fine classic films of the late 90s/early 00s that truly made the crew what they are today. There's no pretentious pretending that The Exorcist is the horror film that made us, it's more like the thirty year olds playing eighteen year olds, with plot holes you could drive a truck through that made us. We continue this week with 2008's film adaptation of Scott Smith's "white-people-refusing-to-learn-a-language-and-going-where-they-shouldn't" book THE RUINS which was inexplicably produced by Ben Stiller. We talk about foliage, looking for your missing brother while doing body shots, Shawn Ashmore, and Donnie Darko's girlfriend for some reason. ************************************************* “Kill,Kill,Kill” by Coyote Hearing is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. Our newest episode has us covering more Fantasia Film Festival offerings, this time in the form of a video game adaptation, a zombie flick that cuts close to home and a suspenseful French-Canadian twist on the idea of vampires. First up is Detention, directed by John Hsu, which is an adaptation of the game of the same name that follows a group of students who defy book ban orders in Tiawan during the White Terror. After that is Bleed With Me, directed by Amelia Moses, a tale of friends who go on vacation to cabin where things quickly turn strange becuase (you guessed it) things aren't quite on the up and up. The final movie this week is Yummy, a Belgian zombie flicks directed by Lars Damoiseaux that's heavy on the gore and the laughs and may or may not be based on Rigby's life. ***************************** “Party Crowd 2” by Kolezan is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Bong Hit” by OnionEye is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Breath in and out Cigarette” by OnionEye is licensed under CC BY-NC 3.0 “Metal Loop” by thunderstorm10 is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Scream 1” by TheSubber13 is licensed under CC BY-NC 3.0 "Death Metal Track" is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. This episode the crew are back at Fantasia International Film Festival 2020 and check out Brea Grant’s 12 HOUR SHIFT starring Graveyard favourite Angela Bettis, best known for her role as May in the titular indie horror comedy film, as junkie nurse Mandy who feeds her heroin habit by illegally selling organs. Episode 156 finds the crew a ninja down, with Rigby doing whatever it is Rigby does (probably something vodka related), discussing the documentary Clapboard Jungle from director Justin McConnell that's playing at this years online Fantasia Film Festival starting August 20th. Clapboard Jungle uses Justin's own personal journey of getting his films made as a framework to dive into all the dark corners of the indie film world that you might not thing of when you think of people making movies. Throughout there are interviews with Gueillermo del Toro, Stuart Gordan, George Romero, our fav Steven Kostanski and a whole host of indie genre film names you'll recognize. The second half of this episode has us talking about McConnell's film Lifechanger (not part of Fantasia this year. It has it's premiere there in 2018), which was being made while Clapboard Jungle was being filmed. ****************************** “Party Crowd 2” by Kolezan is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Bong Hit” by OnionEye is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Breath in and out Cigarette” by OnionEye is licensed under CC BY-NC 3.0 “Metal Loop” by thunderstorm10 is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Scream 1” by TheSubber13 is licensed under CC BY-NC 3.0 "Death Metal Track" is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter.
