In this episode I sit down with author Ronni Collins to discuss her latest book: This Is 9-1-1 We Have An Emergency! Ronni is an advocate for dispatchers across the country to be placed in the category of first responders! Currently 18 states recognize them as such. Ronni dives into the stress that comes with this job, what dispatchers and first responders can do to manage the stress that comes with it, why there is such a hiring problem in this field, the process that takes place once someone calls 911, and the rewards that come with this occupation!
