Today I want to share and introduce an amazing podcast created by my friend and fellow podcaster, the delightful Emma Isaacs. Her show, Creative Ways is filled with inspiring interviews with successful creatives who have followed that feeling. This show looks at how to design a life that’s truly fulfilling, giving the world what you have been gifted and getting paid to do what you love every day! A little bit about Emma… She is a Uk based surface Pattern Design designer who loves bold colors, patterns, and life!! Emma has been lucky enough to draw and paint for 19 years for the stationary and bedding industry, including designing in-house for three big international companies, plus a design manager for a major retail account Besides being an amazingly creative freelancer and podcaster, she’s also a mom to two small beautiful, and mischievous humans. She and her family live in a beautiful village in the UK. I met Emma over a year ago when she reached out to me about podcasting. We had a great connection immediately and I’m thrilled that she’s now part of a very powerful all-woman mastermind group that I’m in! We have so much fun helping each other as female entrepreneurs! I really don’t know what I would do without her and the other women in that group! Instead of asking you to listen to my other podcast, I'm, bringing it to you… so today, please enjoy this bonus episode of How in the Hell Did I Get Here? This podcast was created because I love stories… both telling them and hearing them and I think that you can learn a lot by doing both of those things. The other reason I love stories is that I see them as a coping mechanism…. I have lived through some pretty crazy times by just thinking “when I get through this, I’m going to have a hell of a story to tell!” I do this podcast with my four sisters and assorted guests, whom you will hear and who are also great storytellers. We release a new episode every Thursday and a short episode pulled from the archives on Fridays. Brought to you by Kim A. Flodin, The Coloring Book Coach - This is the month of December and we have an awesome theme for this month. It's powerful. The theme for this month is to follow your intuition. Be smart, be brave, tell the truth and don't take any shit. And that's a quote from Kelly Cutrone. I like Kelly, I don't know Kelly, but I like that attitude. So it's the end of the year and I can't think of any better time than to kind of, you know, take a stance for yourself, which means really trust that you do know on the inside what's going on. Still waters run deep. You have a stillness inside of you that you can access that will answer anything you need to know. And that is your intuition. So follow your intuition. Be smart. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fallinlovewithyourself/message

When you stop fighting with reality, you win! Today's message is a paraphrase of something Byron Katie says which is: “When you argue with reality, you lose, but only 100% of the time.” and she's right you know. When we're arguing with reality, not only are we losing, but we're also missing out on the beauty of what really is happening and the fact that we can trust what is happening because there is a bigger force than us in charge here and we can trust that. Not only can we trust it, but we can also sink into the fact that no matter what is happening, it's okay because it's happening! I'll let Katie tell us how this works: "The only time we suffer is when we believe a thought that argues with what is. When the mind is perfectly clear, what is is what we want. If you want reality to be different than it is, you might as well try to teach a cat to bark. You can try and try, and in the end, the cat will look up at you and say, "Meow." Wanting reality to be different than it is is hopeless. You can spend the rest of your life trying to teach a cat to bark. And yet, if you pay attention, you'll notice that you think thoughts like these dozens of times a day. "People should be kinder." "Children should be well-behaved." "My neighbors should take better care of their lawn." "The line at the grocery store should move faster." "My husband (or wife) should agree with me." "I should be thinner (or prettier or more successful)." These thoughts are ways of wanting reality to be different than it is. If you think that this sounds depressing, you're right. All the stress that we feel is caused by arguing with what is." If any of this resonates with you and you want to learn more, join me next month in my Wise Words from the Woods Book Club, where we'll be reading Katie's book: I Need Your Love - Is That True? and delving more into the freedom that is The Work of Byron Katie. Find info and some great freebies here. ( https://bit.ly/WiseWomanoftheWoods )
What if You Didn't Care if They Liked You? It's okay if they don't like you and it's okay for you not to like them! Nobody needs to be liked... it's only a thought or belief that says that you do and guess what? Thoughts and beliefs can be changed! If you want to know more about that, join me in next month's Wise Words from the Woods Book Club where we're reading I Need Your Love - Is That True? How to stop seeking love, approval, and appreciation and start finding them instead by Byron Katie. Click here ( https://www.kelekilove.com/ ) to find info and also some great freebies for you!

News Flash! You don't have to believe everything you think and why would you? Listen and find out why this is true! Plus, you're invited to join me in reading the next book from the Wise Woman of the Woods Book Club, which is "I Need Your Love - Is That True?" from Byron Katie. Here’s a short description of the book from the inside cover: I Need Your Love—Is That True? examines a universal, age-old source of anxiety: our relationships with others. In this groundbreaking book, Katie helps you question everything you’ve been taught to do to gain love and approval. In doing this, you discover how to find genuine love and connection. The usual advice offered in self-help books and reinforced by our culture advocates a stressful, all-consuming quest for love and approval. We’re advised to learn self-marketing and manipulative skills—how to attract, impress, seduce, and often pretend to be something we aren’t. This approach doesn’t work. It leaves millions of walking wounded—those who, having failed to find love or appreciation, blame themselves and conclude that they are unworthy of love. So if you feel the need for love, approval, and appreciation, this book shows you a different approach and you're invited to find out the difference when you join me in reading this book. We'll be starting this June. It’s easy to join, just head to wisewomanofthewoods.com ( https://www.kelekilove.com/ ) and hit the link. Spaces are limited, so join today. And, while you're over there, make sure to grab all the fun freebies I have for you!
Here are three easy ways you can protect your own energy easily and effortlessly. Please remember that I record these episodes outside and in this episode, I had a lot of help from the crows, as you'll hear! Since the crows were helping out, I thought I would share a little bit about crows and what they mean: Crows are the keeper of sacred law and because of that they can bend the laws of the physical universe and also shapeshift, they are master adapters of the physical world, so I'm honored when they show up in an episode. Are you consumed by the need for love, approval, and appreciation?Has it ever occurred to you that you might not need any of those three things?Newsflash! Your life can change for the better when you stop looking for things you don't really need! And, guess what else, the only person you need to get these things from is YOU!Yes, it's true... the search for love, approval, and appreciation is a fast track to an unhappy life and reminds me of what author Byron Katie says: "If I had a prayer, it... If I had a prayer, it would be this: "God, spare me from the desire for love, approval, or appreciation. Amen."When you stop searching, you can find... yourself! Life is not a race to the grave, it's meant to be enjoyed, explored, and filled with ease. Really! Plus cutting yourself some slack is a great first step to honoring yourself, your rhythms, your pace, your needs, and your desires... have you ever considered that?Hopefully, today's episode will help you slow down, chill out, and give yourself the grace you deserve in your life! You can find the freebies or book an appointment with the Wise Woman of the Woods right here.Today's episode is an encore episode and originally aired in December 2020.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/fall-in-love-with-yourself-toolkit/donations
Saying NO is hard for people. You get so caught up worrying about hurting someone's feelings or anticipating their reactions, that you compromise yourself over and over again. How many times have you gone along with something that was not a YES for you just to keep the peace or keep a friend or family member happy?News flash! You're not really keeping the peace (and the peace I'm referring to is your own) and I'd also say you're also being a dishonest friend and/or family member. Saying an honest no (or yes) ultimately means being TRUE TO YOU without worrying about what the other person may think or how they might respond. It's about saying what's true for you at any given moment.Be sure to check out the freebies on my website, including a downloadable copy of the blog post which inspired today's episode!Today's episode is an encore episode and originally aired in November 2020.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/fall-in-love-with-yourself-toolkit/donations
Have you ever considered how your life could change if you stopped taking things personally?Have ever even considered not taking things personally? If you've read Don Miguel Ruiz's classic book, “The Four Agreements. perhaps you remember this as the second agreement, if not let me remind you with this excerpt:"Whatever happens around you, don't take it personally. Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own minds; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in. When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world."When you stop taking things personally, you can literally stop wars (the ones that happen in your mind and in your life when you see everything as personal to you!) It's a pretty amazing shift!Tune in to find out more!Today's episode is an encore episode and originally aired in February 2021.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/fall-in-love-with-yourself-toolkit/donations
