PBC Productions and Scrub Club Records present 'Overheat,' Mad Hatter's hip-hop tribute to the NES game Excitebike. Dozens of geeks gathered together to shoot the video at MAGfest, a video and computer gaming festival run by fans, for fans. The 'ExciteBiker', Matthew Mahoney, is a THON veteran who was chosen both for his ability to bust a move and for his innate lack of fear. The video features Internet video game celebrities James Rolfe (Angry Video Game Nerd), Stuttering Craig (ScrewAttack.com), A_Rival (Wave Theory), Devon Riley (Captain S), Bobby Bokista (VirtualFools), and others. A huge THANK YOU to all the fans and friends who showed up to the shoot. You're the best. Big shout out to Brenden and MAGfest - for throwing the baddest video game party on the East Coast every year - and also for helping make this video happen. 'Overheat' is one of eleven tracks on MadHatter's Nintendo-inspired rap album, 8-Bit Bullshit. http://www.scrubclubrecords.com/music... Hatter's site describes the album as "11 tracks full of nonstop Nintendo memories to bob your head to". The video was shot, cut, and conceived by PBC Productions member Chad Williams, who was genuinely inspired by Hatter's music. He remarks, "Nerdcore is a niche within a niche, but great albums like 8-Bit Bullshit transcend the limitations of the genre." This video marks the first collaboration between Scrub Club Records and PBC Productions.

The filmmaking workshop flew forward at break-neck speed -- there lay at the end of our journey only one thing - WIN, or FAIL. What resulted is cataloged in this hilarious doc. We're reaching deep into the vault for this week's content. Captain S Episode 6 tends to be a fan favorite, and it was one of the most difficult episodes for us, technically. Chad and Brett take a look back at an early version of the crucial showdown between Captain S and NES, and discuss how it evolved into the version everyone knows today.
Hideo Kojima had several ideas for Metal Gear Solid 4, one of which included replacing Solid Snake. Since Snake was so fond of hiding in that cardboard box, Kojima wondered, what if the box...was the star?

MAGFest is a yearly video game convention that occurs in the greater Washington, DC area. A virtual 4 day, non-stop party, MAGFest has everything from arcade cabinets, console gaming, PC/LAN, table top gaming, as well as a host of events such as name that tune, costume contests, and 2 nights of concerts by popular video game remixers. MAGFest VI was held at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, VA from January 3rd-6th.
MAGfest 2008. The Captain S marathon had just ended, PBC was taking their bows - when to their surprise, a bonus video appeared!
