If any single concept exemplifies the knowledge of G-d, it is Judaism‘s belief that man can achieve complete repentance. Judaism does not even find the word “repentance” sufficient, for repentance presupposes a natural state of sinfulness from which, in reality, there is no complete return. The Jewish concept is called tshuvah, return. From a very early age, many of us learned about the concept of Hell in some form or another. For centuries much of Christianity has used the word “Pharisee” as an insult, a pejorative term, a word synonymous with Hypocrite, or a Legalist.
