THIS WEEK:The Warriors of Light have the defeated the daemon nestled deep within the pinnacle of Avarice. A brief respite from combat allows our heroes to catch their breath and reassess the situation before proceeding forward. But more lethal threats yet await the group within the lair of the Runelord of Greed. They will need to keep their senses about them and their heads on a swivel to keep a step ahead of the forces of evil. And would somebody shut off those alarms already?!Aristotle brought the incense. Hugo plans to renovate. Reetin is there also. Vrasken banishes. Clinton desperately tries to time-out the parties buffs. He also does this thing where he punishes Alex for being in the process of making a decision, and then makes a ruling specifically to be in disagreement with a player. This is real shitty behavior and I regret not calling him on the spot for it. Don't let your DMs be jerks, players! After one of the gang moves forward at the specific protests of another, the party will have to deal with a massive threat while being both split up and injured from the previous battle. Will they be able to gather their senses in time to best this feral foe, or will our heroes see to feed these otherworldly forces? Tune in to find out now!Aristotle is being cautious. Cloud of Ucky Yuckiness THIS WEEK:The Warriors of Light continue to take advantage of illusion magics to ruin the tactics of the Runelord of Greed's defenders. Fierce, towering abominations stand between our heroes progressing further trough the pinnacle of Avarice. Their bite may be worse than their bark, but it's the smell that I really can't stand. Magics will be slung and swords will be swung - our heroes will need to defeat these foes if they wish to reach Karzoug.Aristotle touches it. Hugo stinks up the room. Reetin recalls past deaths. Shall our heroes continue to succeed against the forces of greed, or will they meet their doom at the throat of the world? Tune in to find out! By the way Clinton is cheating a lot in this episode - Karzoug gets way too many prepared actions, gets away with seeing magic effects. Things are given surprise rounds when they shouldn't get them. THIS WEEK:After some investigation in the ruins that Ghlorofaex called home, the gang finds a treasure horde fit for a very old dragon. A welcome addition to the coffers of our heroes. If they can manage to piece together the perilous portcullis puzzle the spoils of war will be theirs for the taking. With pockets full of jingle, our heroes take the time to liquidate their recent acquisitions and throw that gold towards gear upgrades. Aristotle doesn't have that kind of acid. Hugo achieves CHIM. THIS WEEK:The Warriors of Light continue to face the legendary wyrm that stands between our heroes and progressing further up to the spires of Xin-Shalast. After the fight, Hugo does some digging around in the ol' lizards brain to discover what it knew of Karzoug and The Runelords empire using eldritch magics.Aristotle could have done that the whole time. Hugo does some digging. Reetin can't seem to hit. Vrasken satisfies his dragon priorities. THIS WEEK:The Warriors of Light continue to explore the ruined city of Xin-Shalast. Keeping a safe distance from some of the more dangerous (and undeveloped) parts of the city bring us to a ruined building that once looks to have housed the tax collectors of the ancient city of Greed. Our heroes will have much worse horrors to fear than revenue collection services however as they trespass through ancient walls. The scraping of large nails across stone and large, leathery wings flapping alert our heroes to the imminent danger. Stock up on healing potions boys: we gon fite a draggin'.Aristotle breathes acid like a dragon. Reetin casts spells like a sorcerer. Vrasken rages like a barbarian. Hugo shares his turn. THIS WEEK:The Warriors of Light have left the Spolarium and move on to traverse through the nearby buildings. As they explore, they descover a hidden path that burrows deep into the massive mountainside. An eye spies our allies as they try to hide. Thrashing tentacles and a bonecrushing maw await those who traverse the secret tunnel to Mhar Massif.Aristotle beats their sickness. Hugo has a happy accident. Reetin casts a spell. Vrasken gets hit. THIS WEEK: The Warriors of Light continue to explore the haunted halls of the Spolarium. Confident that the strongest of the threats have been eliminated our heroes will begin to carefully traverse its trapped halls. With some nontraditional methods of dungeoneering employed our heroes loot the halls and liberate those damned souls who cannot find rest. Can the Warriors of Light liberate this evil place, or will they too fall to the darkness within? Tune in to find out now!Aristotle gets ridiculous. Hugo wants his tentacles. Reetin casts Erase. The Horrible Part THIS WEEK:The Warriors of Light have been ambushed by tremendous horrors of overwhelming dread! From within the walls, thin dark tendrils reach out to sap the life from our heroes. The air is frigid and devoid of moisture deep within the darkness of the Spolarium. Some will retreat for safety; others will wish they had when the lord of this domain appears to assert it's dominance. Will our heroes be able to consecrate this evil, or are they doomed to join the ranks of ghouls that move through the halls deep within? Tune in to find out now!Aristotle has great saves. THIS WEEK:Tempted by the promise of hidden treasures, our heroes have decided to investigate the inner bowels of the Xin-Shalast Spolarium. Those unfortunate souls that inhabit it's halls are less than welcoming to our heroes intruding their final resting spot. Hostile spirits will attempt to remove the invaders from their haunted home - will the Warriors of Light be able to consecrate this space or will they join the ranks of the undead that roam its halls? THIS WEEK:After returning to the hidden lair to lick their wounds, The Warriors of Light come across a new type of challenge: a tree that cannot be defeated by punching it. Within the areas of Xin-Shalast that contain colliseums and Circus Maximus our heroes find a location with plentiful opportunity for loot and valuables; however, the path forward seems impenetrable. Will our heroes be able to solve the riddle keeping the door sealed, or have our heroes finally been bested by an inanimate tree made of crystal? Tune in this week to find out now! THIS WEEK:The Warriors of Light face against a new class of opponent. A chitinous devil from the frozen realms of hell and mysterious spider-like aberrations that weeps blood are latest of challengers to test the might of our heroes. With a less-than-optimal consideration given to positioning our teams front line fighters find themselves dangerously outmaneuvered by the fiendish foes. Things go from back to worse when toxins debilitate our heavy hitters. Will the casters be able to score another victory, or has the gang finally met their match?Aristotle goes wawawawawawawa. The Heptaric Locus THIS WEEK:Emerging from the overgrowth of The Tangle victorious, our heroes are ready to take a well-earned rest. After emptying bags of holding filled with loot at their hidden lair, they continue back on their quest to interrupt the operations of the minions of Karzoug. The next site of interest is a massive colliseum-looking structure with a seven-pointed motif. As our heroes investigate further, Chitinous creeps and arachnid-adjacent abberations defend their territory from the Warriors of Light. Will these beasts fight off the invaders, or will our heroes once again squash the minions of their foe? Tune in to find out now!Aristotle has a disease. Hugo gets a tramp stamp. THIS WEEK:A minutes worth of combat has passed, and though the hordes have been felled the army of Yellow Musked Zombies and the Root of the Tangle continue to defend their home from the foreign invaders. Summoned Daemons, explosive evocations and the black dragon they rode in on prove to be more than a challenge for the collection of fungus-infested fiends. Now that the large monstrosity has entered the fight, the tides of battle may just be changed. Will our heroes be able to prove victorious, or will they add to the ever growing numbers under the control of the Root of the Tangle?Aristotle overcharges the disintegrate. Hugo has a hunch. EDITORS NOTE: Our audio capture device ran out of space in the middle of this recording and we lost a portion of Clinton's audio track. You'd think the device would alert of such issue but hey what can you do? About 3/4'ths of the way through you'll notice Clinton gets a lot less specific when speaking. We were able to make out what was being said by listening to what others were saying and redub most of the lines, but we lost things like specific numbers. The issue has since been resolved and shouldn't be an issue again. We apologize for the inconvenience!
