Ahoy there. As Cammie and Jon try and find lost friends of the podcast Dave and Doc, they decide to have a little break form the relentless search. What better way to do that than crack open a beer, talk Re-Animator and drift into sweet oblivion.
Join us as we ramble through the horror icons on our artwork. First up the stone cold classic of Dawn. Or is it......? Spoiler....probably
Ahoy there! Been a little while since we checked in from the boat but we're back. This time round we are on Mario Bava's classic A Bay of Blood. Will this blueprint for the slasher flick still feel as influential in 2020? Already got some other episodes in the bag, so regular updates should be back.
Ahoy there! Been quite a while since we weighed anchor to release a new episode. We are back in style with the Argento classic, 1982's Tenebrae. The James Ferman inspired history on the UK censorship scene makes a comeback in this one. Quite an odd history and one that places it at the forefront of the video nasty era. Deserved or not? Let's find out.
Ahoy! Welcome aboard. Cammie and Jon are delving into the 1985 madness fest that is Lamberto Bava's Demons. Some interesting oddities in terms of censorship here in the UK as well.

Ahoy there! This time round Join Cammie and Jon as they take a look at the 1986 horror comedy, House. As seems to be the tradition on these lockdown episodes much nonsense is talked. If you don't want to hear us ramble on and get straight into the film, skip to the 20 minute mark :) Stay safe.
Ahoy there! Part podcast, part overheard conversation in the pub. We welcome two guest ramblers onto this episode so strap in for our take on the Clive Barker classic, Hellraiser.

Billed as a comedy horror will it be both, one or the other or neither at all. Tune in to find out. Hail Satan!
Ahoy! Still stranded on the ship with no sign of shore leave The Captain and Jon are still on the chain. This time round we are having a dabble with Jonas Åkerlund. More precisely his 2019 film surrounding the Norwegian Black Metal scene back in the 90's. The Captain and Jon were very aware of the scene back in the day so what will we make of this? Note of caution...this is a hell of a ramble so stick in. The film chat will happen. At some point. Eventually.

Tune in and stay safe with a Meltdown lockdown.
Back on the chain after our little trip to Colour Out of Space and it's a hefty vintage number from the 80's in the shape of Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys from 1987. How much more 80's could this be? None. None more 80's. Will we survive the sensory overload of 80's imagery to piece together some sort of coherent chat on this film? Spoiler......not very likely.
Richard Stanley is back. Richard Stanley is back. Richard Stanley is back. .Richard Stanley is back. .Richard Stanley is back. .Richard Stanley is back.....and Nic Cage All you need to know

Ahoy There! Cammie and Jon are still firmly onboard the ship as the side missions fall to the wayside. this time round we are looking at 2013's American Mary directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska or the Soska sisters if you prefer :) What will make of this odd little entry into the body modification genre? If that's not enough there's Blu Ray chat and we ask what would James Ferman do.
Another little side mission. Actually recorded this one ages ago and......well, no excuses really. Anyway, check it out.

Will Cammie and Jon slate this film as seems to be the trend or will we find something to love? Spoiler.....people get ripped to pieces so we might just find something to love. Tune in and try not to rip out a still beating heart.
Ok. It's not a horror film. However, been a lot of love for Zahler on the podcast and looking at our stats also you guys. Just a little side mission on this one. Cammie and Jon had already recorded a full episode before this one so we sound a lot like Mel Gibson looks in this film. There may be another side mission as close as tomorrow......which also isn't a horror....technically. Hopefully get round to releasing our next chain episode very soon but there's stuff happening everywhere........
Another side mission! The Captain is ill and the ships pharmacist has a dodgy bowel. We are together though and that's the main thing :) What will we make of IT Chapter 2 and does anyone care? Only you can decide.
Ahoy! Time for another side mission. Cammie couldn't make this one so Jon captains friend of the podcast Mitch through these alligator invested waters. Can genre master Alexandre Aja pull it off again? Tune in to find out.
Still on the chain this time around but expect a flurry of side missions to come. This time round Cammie and Jon are talking about the ridiculous 1990 British horror comedy directed by Dirk Campbell. An utterly bonkers side mission of the British TV series Boon. It's been many, many years since we saw it and will the happy memories hold up or will it become a funny at the time disaster? As always there's some chat on the Blu Ray and a virtually non existent chat on censorship issues. Weigh anchor and tune in.

Cammie and Jon are stlll on the chain this episode but look out for a few side missions coming up in the near future. This time round it's 1987's Street Trash directed by James M. Muro up for discussion. What will Cammie and Jon make of this bonkers little melt movie? Tune in to find out! Check out our thoughts on the blu ray and did this cause Director of the BBFC James Ferman to go into meltdown himself. Grab a bottle of viper and settle down to episode 14.
Ahoy there! This time round Cammie and Jon are talking about 1981's Evilspeak directed by Eric Weston and starring Clint Howard. Cammie and Jon are back on the chain after a few short side missions and we are blasting back into action with Renny Harlin's 1988 supernatural horror Prison staring a youthful Viggo Mortensen. Remember to check out the website www.horrormeltdown.podbean.com
Cammie and Jon turn their attention to what's coming in the world of horror in 2019. We cast an eye over the big new releases but are always hoping for some new obscure gems out there. If you know one, let us know.
Audio struggles and editing nightmares aside, here's our crimbo epiosode. I'm tired and it's actually now Christmas day so that's all the explanation you're getting. Bugger off and have a beer.
This time round on The Meltdown, Cammie and Jon are getting to grips with S. Craig Zahler's follow up to Bone Tomahawk (there's the link for ya) Brawl in Cell Block 99. Can S. Craig Zahler keep up the pace of his great debut feature with this Vince Vaughn led grindhouse style follow up? We'll be giving our thoughts on the Blu Ray and, as ever, what we reckon James Ferman former Director of the BBFC would have made of it. Tune in!
Yet another side mission for the Captain and Jon as they delve into Anna and the Apocalypse. Watched this one on the day of the release and scooted home to record the episode so you still have time to see it in the cinema if it tickles your fancy. Delighted to be able to feature a Scottish film on the podcast so if you can get out there and support it, please do. A Scottish zombie comedy horror musical? Yes please sir. Enjoy.
After a few swift side missions on Mandy and the remake of Suspiria, Cammie and Jon are back on the chain linking RAW with S. Craig Zahler's 2015 film Bone Tomahawk. Another debut feature sees us take in the genre mash up of Western and Horror. There's been a few but will this entry stand out for us? As ever we will also delve into the Blu Ray and ponder what former director of the BBFC, James Ferman, would make of it all. Saddle up!
