You found me... Welcome to my audio world! This is where I post audio on what I'm up to at the time the recorder is on: Opinions, Soundscapes I like, People I'm with, my travels I go on from time to time. You never know, you might find some of my posts interesting and even feel like leaving a comment on anything you have heard. I host a separate podcast called To The Tune Of Pianos Presents which highlights part of my life as a piano tuner.
Dogged by taxi refusals? Do you think it's time to bark back and ensure your rights are upheld? Then listen in as I walk you through the process of service denial from booking a taxi to attending court and everything in between.
Join Pyrgo and I as we make a trip to one of the Curry's Electrical stores involved in trialing WelcoMe, an ingenious platform which connects public venues to people with disabilities on their own terms.
As you might expect. Emotions ramp up a bit on this topic as I discuss with Claire what this means for the topic at hand; What other implications there might be and the fact that this ruling particularly impacts women.
Spend 10 minutes with me in the company of the delightful Claire Randall as she shares some of her Afrikaaner life story with me and by extension, You.
Listen to this and imagine yourself as the hild you were or rediscover the inner child as an adult, remembering when you stood at the edge of the sea. Skimming pebbles across the waves to see how many times you could get them to bounce.
Because Sunday was so relaxing and I'm publishing this on the eve of what will be some of the worst strike action the UK has ever seen. People might appreciate a break from the chaos we are experiencing globally and at every level of society. Enjoy your reflection, wherever the music takes you.

A play on a word for this #AudioMo as I reflect on some of my lived experience around Inclusivity.
Join my trusty Guide Dog Pyrgo and I as we do the weekly commute between Orpington and Birmingham here in the UK
In conversation around two things I didn't know and a What If question from Claire.
Find out why our beautiful, innocent looking dogs (Pic included) were anything but when they helped themselves to breakfast. Yeah, I also said it was #AudioMo June 10th when this one is for the 11th.
This #AudioMo is an ode to toast. Featuring The Street Band fronted by Paul Young. Marmalade on toast is the food of the gods in case you were asking and I'll do pretty much anything for this culinary delight.
In this podcast, Claire and I rant a bit. :) Its a bit of a “Why Do Companies?”…We think the word is Gamify…everything?
Join me for a few minutes as I noodle on a Kawai baby grand I had just finished tuning for a customer at the point of this recording. I tune pianos and my website is: http://tothetuneofpianos.co.uk

Enjoy this interview I recorded and which was featured on the Blind Spot Podcast as part of volunteer week 2022. The link to the Blind Spot Podcast is here: https://audioboom.com/channels/5025050

In this audio we take a Lateral Flow test; describe what's in the box, describe the test as i take it and call BeMyEyes to get the result.
Its been long in the making because I only record when I'm inspired. 10 tracks now make it less of an EP and more of an album. Showcasing a recent track addition for your ears today.

Scams are rife currently, particularly ones purporting to be HMRC debt collection officials. Here's one I recorded earlier
In this podcast, I take a Rapid Flow Test at my workplace test centre. How accessible is the process.? Listen in and find out.
We recorded this in separate locations. Claire made multi track recordings on her keyboard and sang her vocals then sent me the audio so i could record my vocals. Our favourite Christmas song with the newer lyrics.
My cover of Rick Astley's acoustic version of the 80s classic

I have a little bit of a rant in this podcast: We should still be socially distancing in the UK. So many people at some beaches they had to declare a major incident. Over 40 tonnes of waste (including human waste) had to be cleared from beaches by local councils. Stupid!
Inspired by Omaniblog, I respond to His question as to why I would upgrade my phone. The answers are more interesting than you might think, especially if you don't know me very well. :)
Join me as I celebrate the Summner Solstice with a few songs, some summer sounds and a bit of chat.
Not upgraded since my iPhone 8 plus and now have the iPhone 11 Pro Max. First time experience of Face ID. Loving the way everything just appears on my new phone from my old one. Slightly perplexed over the fact that you can only make stereo recordings with video but, not with audio only. Happy over all though.
Trying a new and developing podcast setup via my laptop. Using a RØDE NT-USB MinI Microphone on a boom arm. I also share a song which I covered on my keyboard. Its Why Worry, originally performed by Dire Straits and written by Mark Knopfler
To the backdrop of a thunder storm which came through on Tuesday, I recount my two worst thunder storm experiences growing up. We end with a short montage of the storm In the form of a time-laps as itaudiomo day 13: tempestuous tuesday, there is a storm in town.m4aaudiomo day 13: tempestuous tuesday, there is a storm in town.m4a gathered momentum.
One of the best things about #AudioMo is that you get to hear both new and familiar voices. With the new in mind, I put out a call on an email forum I'm on, asking if anyone wanted to be part of one of my Podcasts.34 year old Anick Morris came to my virtual studio to have a chat. Anick has a variety of interests including being A Samaritan volunteer, A qualified Amateur Radio Operator; A park committee member; Singing in a choir and speaking other languages. We began with a question I often ask: If an alien landed next to you, what would be the first thing you would want them to know about you. Given that Anick works with The Samaritans, it is entirely appropriate to provide details of how you can contact them for support, should you need to. Whatever you're going through, call them free any time, from any phone, on 116 123. Free. One-to-one. Open 24 hours a day. You can also email them on: jo@samaritans.org or visit their website at: www.samaritans.org.
A few people asking how they can start podcasting off the back of some of my audio they have heard. In this episode, I try to communicate what I have learned and do a bit of a deep dive into podcast creation. I hope its worth while to those who asked and I'm happy to help people start the podcasting journey.
92 Days since I last saw my Claire due to #Corona19 and #LockDown. Sad its been so long, but, blessed that we'v all avoided it and want to continue to do so.
One commentator sad he could draw parallels between the event and the pulling down of the statue of Saddam in Bagdad during the 2nd Gulf War. Its a significant issue and time will tell as to how far reaching this act of defiance has been.
Its been a long #Lockdown and isn't fully lifting for me any time soon. Was made a bit easier today as I had an amazing Sunday Roast via Deliveroo, curtesy of @TheLoftBrum. Plus a socially distant get together with my brother amd e for a lovely day.
My dad is 78 today. Join me in what was meant to be a fairly short podcast but, could have been so much longer if I'd recounted all the memories I have with him and my family. I hope you enjoy the recollections I have mentioned here.
Always, with no exceptions, tastes better straight out the fridge
