Friday, February 17th! There were a ton of updates in the market and NFT space. One of the biggest volume days in NFTs in a while happened yesterday, with a $90 million day, the highest in the past 9 months. Low-quality high-volume trades are happening, and people are still farming. Blur did $63 million versus OpenSea doing $15 million, with whale accounts farming Blur rewards being the cause. @veefriends had an event/announcement involving a burn mechanic with 'burn island', and @PUMA is dropping a PFP collection. BendDAO token is pumping, with the amount being borrowed on the platform likely being directly related to the price of the token.In other news, the new platform @escherxyz, focused on being a marketplace for editions and focused artist portfolios, is going live soon. Several Bored Ape NFT holders borrowed against their NFT on BendDAO. Liquidation risk has been rising because Bored Ape NFTs floor price has been falling. BendDAO cofounder also risks being liquidated on his platform. To make matters worse, BendDAO is experiencing a bank run. The so-called “NFTfi” protocol saw its Ethereum reserves drained over the weekend, meaning ETH lenders are now unable to recoup their deposits from the protocol's reserves. Bored Ape NFTs have long been the gold standard of NFTs, a sudden supply shock with no buyers could spell doom for the entire NFT market as a whole.
