The branding of “dream college” is a lucrative one. Many students are sold grand ideas of campus life with vast social life, student perks, world-class dorms, football teams, and the messaging that says if you wear these colors, you are somebody. This is all propelled by a very competitive academic environment, and a social pressure that students feel to be accepted and belong. In many cases, college is the price of admission for many careers. But that doesn't mean you can't approach it with eyes wide open & make the most wise decision. Selecting the right college is key to avoiding many years of compounding interest from student loans & missed opportunities. How do you navigate this pressure and make the best call? And ultimately, is college worth it? We think so, as long as you know what's needed to launch successfully in the world.LINKS & RESOURCES:Borrowed Future | Ramsey SolutionsBreak The Chains of Student Loans | Ramsey Solutions25 High-Paying Jobs That Don't Require A Four Year Degree | Ramsey SolutionsDebt-Free Degree by Anthony O'NealHow To Get Into A Famous College | Seth Godin, AkimboGood College or Famous College | Seth GodinStop Stealing Dreams: What Is School For? | Seth GodinRising College Costs vs. Starting Salary | CNBCCollege Costs Have Risen At Nearly 5X The Rate of Inflation | Fox BusinessCareer Readiness: What Skills Are Employers Looking For? | National Association Of Colleges & EmployersCONNECT WITH US:Mark Q | InstagramJUST LEAD | InstagramJUST LEAD | FacebookJUST LEAD | TikTokJUST LEAD | YouTubeSign up for our email list for to stay up to date with the JUST LEAD Podcast!GOT A SITUATION? While teaching last year, I discovered a dcoumentary about the college debt crisis to show my students called, "Borrowed Future." Josiah Poletta and his wife were featured in the movie and they stole my heart. I knew immediately way before launching this podcast that I wanted to speak to him and share his story of strength, determination and perseverance to eradicate his student loan debt. I was so inspired by him and his family so I am thrilled he agreed to come on the podcast with me. Even if you don't have kids, or college debt, this is a great conversation. As always, thank you so much for listening, downloading and sharing!

When I heard David Wilson's story on Ramsey Solution's first feature length documentary, Borrowed Future, I was impressed with his entrepreneurial spirit and desire to live a life that's against the grain. It's difficult to delay gratification now to achieve an even better life later, but this has become a staple of David's story. David worked hard, saved money, and graduated with a four year degree completely debt free. During our conversation we talked about what he learned pursuing this debt free degree and how to win with money. We also went deep into a discussion of relationships, friendships, and some of our past mistakes. Thank you for listening to the show and please enjoy this episode. The last 18 months have been this generation of business owners' greatest challenge. A natural byproduct of a challenging situation is fear. You've probably felt your fair share of it recently as you guided your team through the chaos. But as a leader it's your job to lead no matter the circumstance, and that's going to require courage. In this week's episode of The EntreLeadership Podcast, we sit down with Ryan Holiday to discuss his new book, Courage Is Calling. Ryan challenges us to ponder the question, “What would the world look like if we all acted courageously every day?” Then, in our second segment, George Kamel sits down with Ramsey Solutions' Executive Vice President Blake Thompson. He breaks down how we, at Ramsey, have been taking calculated risks since the early days when The Dave Ramsey Show still only had one station.
