Natasha Cloud is a powerhouse. The New York Liberty point guard seems to have it all: a successful W.N.B.A. career, fierce confidence and a loving relationship with her girlfriend and teammate, Isabelle Harrison. On and off the court, Cloud radiates self-assurance and seems to know exactly who she is, but that sense of self was hard-won.In a conversation with “Modern Love” podcast host Anna Martin, Cloud talked about growing up as the only mixed-race child in a white family, and how one conversation with her mother shifted everything she thought she knew about herself. She discussed finding her identity in college, her family's love and acceptance for the “new Tash,” and why professional pressure led her to publicly identify as bisexual even though she knew the label didn't feel right.Listener call out: The Modern Love team wants to know how differences over money are straining your relationship. Women's professional basketball has been on a roll, enjoying record growth, and it keeps getting better. The WNBA recently signed a massive television contract, merchandise sales have increased, and attendance has reached historic levels, including right here in New York at the New York Liberty games. Yet the players responsible for that growth don't get a single share of all that revenue – and that's at the center of a contract fight that has the attention of the entire union movement in New York. On the latest Union Strong podcast, Terri Carmichael Jackson, the Executive Director of the Women's National Basketball Players Association, discusses what is at the center of this fight. Sports are big business. And I'm not just talking professional sports. It's also college sports. And when teams lose, someone has to take the blame. Yesterday, the head coach of the New York Liberty was let go, just one season removed from winning the WNBA championship. Her crime was that she didn't win back-to-back titles. The head coach of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Mike Gundy, also lost his job yesterday. He was in his 21st season. They began the season 1-2. We live in a world where there's only one rule when it comes to sports: win now. I grew up in a world where there was always next year. Today in sports, there may not be a next week... In this episode of Playbook Radio, I break down why repeating success is so difficult — whether in sports, business, or life. Using the New York Liberty's early playoff exit as a starting point, I explain how winning often leads to complacency, praise dulls hunger, and champions lose the edge that got them there. The key to repeating isn't thinking like a champion, but like the challengers who are still hungry. To win again, you must reset, do more than before, and approach every new season, job, or client as if you're starting from zero.https://pensight.com/x/playbook/execution-codes-finding-work

On this special New York Fashion Week edition of the Glossy Podcast, we're looking back at some of the shows, trends and interesting moments that arose from this season on the runway. Senior fashion reporter Danny Parisi is joined by editor-in-chief Jill Manoff and international reporter Zofia Zwieglinska to discuss what they saw over the course of the week. Danny and Jill were on the ground attending shows, while Zofia was reporting from the U.K. In our preview episode last week, we discussed the move toward smaller, more intimate shows that were happening this NYFW, and that proved to be the case. Many brands held intimate presentations, often in their own stores or leveraging unique formats, like dinners, brunches and presentations, in locations including coffee shops. We also talk about some of the trends we saw on the runway, including the lack of color in many of the collections. And we discuss the continued prevalence of ouside-the-box sponsorships like Christian Siriano's collaboration with the drink brand Capri Sun. And lastly, we talk about which shows were the most memorable, from Zankov's welcome splashes of color to Off-White's use of New York Liberty mascot Ellie the Elephant on the runway.

White Male, Shot and Killed in Utah he was 31 married with two kids. He was talking on a Utah college campus, he was a right wing republican whose narrative was divisive. He was not a political candidate but a pundit, who had a right wing conservative following. His messaging especially on gun control is and I quote "We must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty...I think it's worth having a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights." In the simplest of analogies he believed that you had to break some eggs to make an omelet, and unfortunately he was one of the eggs. I want to discuss that his life ceases to exist, but for those who were there at the event, have to live with that the rest of their lives and those who now have watched it also carry that burden.
