Today, Lace and Katherine interview comedian, April Richardson (@midnight, Chelsea Lately). April now lives in England, but while she was stateside, she was duped by a troop. A too-good-to-believe OK Cupid match turned into a years' long cycle of gaslighting, ghosting & serial cheating. How April finally found out is easily our most fascinating catch yet. They Night They Came Home. But it's day time and only one of them is at home and, ya know what, this reference works as well here as it does in this show. Anyway, Melissa & Ben are back to discuss the first five episodes of season one (aka what is sure to be the only season) of PLL's latest incarnation, Original Sin! We've watched five hours of this show so find out with us if we can name the main characters! We can name a bukake of movie references contained in this show, at least. We also reminisce about OG PLL and how much we have wiped from our minds about it, except a certain man and his Ghost Jeep. The first person to be a guest on our show and just overall spectacular human being April Richardson needs a helping hand right now, as we all do from time to time, so please show her some kindness: https://ko-fi.com/aprilrichardson/

The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat! The Original Beverly Hills 90210 Podcast
Well, we took an extra-long hiatus, so we're back with an extra-extra-long season premiere episode. No guest this week as we took our time to ease in to season five of Beverly Hills, 90210. This episode was recorded over two sessions, both of which were before the passing of Luke Perry, in case you're wondering why it's not discussed. If you missed it, you can listen to our memorial episode here. We cover a lot of territory in this episode; if you're interested in skipping ahead to our discussion of S05E01, “What I Did on My Summer Vacation and Other Stories,” that part starts at about minute 70! Ahhh summer. The kids are getting ready for finals, vacations are being planned, and if you're me, you're in Atlanta making your friends hang out in a swamp as you film season three of Stan Against And Evil and suddenly remembering, "Holy Shit! The podcast!" Well, we got it done and it's a still a great one. Two great guests. Shaun Cassidy was an undisputed teen idol in the 1970's with a hit TV show – The Hardy Boys - and hit albums, his debut album entitled, oddly enough, ”Shaun Cassidy” went multi-platinum and netted him a number one single. He then switched gears in his career and became a writer, creating one of my favorite TV shows, American Gothic, and many, many more. Shaun Cassidy is here today with April Richardson. Eddie Pepitone was also a teen idol, scoring huge hits in the early 70's with his band Eddie and the Peptones. He later starred in Columbo: The Next Generation and I am just about at the end of this gag. But needless to say, Eddie Pepitone is here today. As for me, I am, as I said, in working away on the show which accounts for why this show is a week late, Next month we're going to have a special episode with some of my favorite middle pieces, and some other surprises, and then we'll be back in action. http://DanaGould.com

Hot town, summer in the city. The Lovin' Spoonful sang it. But we're gonna keep you cool with a bunch of interesting junk. How's that? Four amazing guests on this episode. April Richardson is here with her pal and mine Karen Kilgariff. You can find April online at @apey, and Karen is one half of the podcast My Favorite Murder, and if you don't know about that by now, I can't help you. Bobcat Goldthwait is here, with his pal comedian Caitlyn Gill. Bob has a new show coming out on Tru called Misfits and Monsters that is going to be amazing. As for me? Lots a stuff coming up. On August 17th 18th and 19th I will be in Cleveland Ohio at Hilarities, I'll try my best to live up to its name, and on September 9th, I will be in Boise Idaho at The Egyptian Theater as part of the 208 Comedy Festival. All live info is at http://www.danagould.com/events/ October will see the release of my new album "Mr. Funny Man" on Kill Rock Stars and season two of Stan Against Evil premiers on IFC on November 1st, so lots and lots and lots of stuff. http://DanaGould.com
Welcome to another episode of The Dana Gould Hour, recorded partially in Los Angeles at Falcon's Lair Studios, and partially in beautiful Atlanta, Georgia, where I am for the summer filming season two of Stan Against Evil. We have three slam-bang smash-pow guests today, in a lighthearted romp for your summer enjoyment. Stand up comedian Joe DeRosa is with us today. You've seen Joe on Better Call Saul as well as on his own comedy special You Let Me Down. He also has a terrific podcast of his own called We'll See You In Hell. Speaking of terrific podcasts, Monster Party's Matt Weinhold is here today. Matt is one of my oldest and dearest pals and an all around excellent human being. And into that box you also have to put the hilarious April Richardson, whose Mom thinks Steve Harvey is funnier than she is. So, give a listen, if only to appreciate how incredibly wrong April's mother is. Me? By the time you here this I will have just wrapped shooting season two of Stan Against Evil, which will be premiering in October on IFC. This fall will also see the release of my new comedy album, Mr. Funny Man on Kill Rock Stars. And if you're going to Comi-Con later this month you'll have two opportunities to see me. One, at the Stan Against Evil Panel, and two, I'll be performing live that weekend at the American Comedy Company, Friday, July 21st and Saturday, July 22nd. For details on all of these and other events and baloney, please check out http://DanaGould.com
Well, it's October, and that can mean only one thing. It's time for our September show. In addition to today's show, the Halloween show is also almost done, and will be posted on October 15th, so you get the horror of the election, the horror of Halloween, both in the same month! For today's show, we have Greg Proops of the Smartest Man In The World podcast, and also the hilarious, hilarious, April Richardson and Chris Fairbanks. And my little show, Stan Against Evil premieres on IFC at 10 PM on Wed November 2nd with a special preview on Halloween night. http://DanaGould.com
The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat! The Original Beverly Hills 90210 Podcast
You may know her as a stand-up comic, from her appearances on Comedy Central, or as the host of the Saved By The Bell podcast Go Bayside, but this week April Richardson is on The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat podcast to talk all about Beverly Hills 90210! What we were drinking: Izze sparkling grapefruitWhat we were eating: Bo Nuage cloud cakes
We did it. It's the first episode of The Dana Gould Hour podcast for 2016 and we juuuust missed January but when I tell you I had homework this month, I had homework. But everything's getting turned in on time and hopefully, we'll have some cool stuff to announce in the not too distant future. Lots of stuff coming up this year including my new special and album, tentatively entitled Mighty Mouth. More about that in the not-too-distant future, where, as Elvis Costello sang, everything will be free. This is kind of a special episode. I saw Star Wars and had very mixed emotions about it. Nothing to do with the movie, but my reaction to it was somewhat strange, and so I have, quite bluntly, my two closest friends in the word on to talk about it -- Ken Daly and Rob Cohen. But, since we know each other SO well I was afraid the conversation would devolve into a series of grunts and eye-rolls, we brought in a ringer, comedian Dan Telfer, who's CD Ocean Of Panic, you can buy. Dan is a Star Wars-knowin' motherfucker and it's a deep dish conversation that goes to some surprising places and I think you'll enjoy it. Also, the always hilarious and entertaining April Richardson is here (@APEY) and her partner in crime and comedy, life and love (but not really) Chris Fairbanks, (@ChrisFairbanks).And as for ME? The movie Southbound hits theaters and I believe VOD in Feb. 5th. Called "A cinematic miracle" by Roger Ebert.com, Southbound a is terrific little horror movie if you like that sort of thing, so go git it. Feb 18, 19 and 20th, 2016 I will be at The Comedy Bar in Toronto, Ontario. I will be at The Wheeler Opera House in Aspen on March 11, 2016 and Helium in Portland, Oregon, land of food trucks, on March 24, 25 and 26th, 2016. Details and ticket links on the live appearance page at http://DanaGould.com

Dana Gould (@danagould, The Simpsons, The Dana Gould Hour) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell that ties up all the loose ends of the Jessie's stepbrother saga, including a part where a group of teenagers reassemble an entire automobile. And Jessie gives Eric a black eye with her “mean right cross.”
Chris Fairbanks (@chrisfairbanks, Do You Need a Ride, The Rescue Cactus, Almost Genius) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Jessie's new stepbrother moves to town from New York and pretty much blackmails everyone at Bayside within five minutes of meeting them, and his schemes put Lisa in the doomed driver's seat of Mr. Belding's new car.
Justin Warfield (@justinwarfield, She Wants Revenge) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where oil is discovered at Bayside and Zack has to bury Becky the duck OH YEAH AND ALSO JUSTIN WAS ACTUALLY IN THIS EPISODE!
Sean O'Connor (@seanoconnz, Solar Opposites, Close Enough, Norm McDonald Live) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Zack meets a college babe and the guys make fake I.D.s so they can party with her at the Attic, where they inadvertently catch Jeff cheating on Kelly; because of this, the girls also get in on the fake I.D. action.
Neal Brennan (@nealbrennan, Blocks, 3 Mics) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where the entire school is hyped up on an upcoming chess match between Screech and Valley's Russian exchange student, whom Zack and Slater straight-up kidnap and assault in order to win a bet.
Matt Kirshen (@mattkirshen, Last Comic Standing, Probably Science) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Zack injures his knee horrifically (after mildly bumping into Mr. Belding in a doorway), and must undergo the most serious, life-threatening surgery in the history of Western medicine, at the hands of Lisa's mother, Dr. Turtle.
Jon Weiner and Eric Gosselin and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where the Malibu Sands Beach Club closes up shop for the summer, and on the last day, the kids build a physics-defying sand castle and Slater's secret admirer waits until the very last minute to reveal her feelings, just in time for the final luau.
Andre Hyland (@theandrehyland, The Jesse Miller Talk Show, The 4th) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Mr. Carosi goes out of town and leaves Stacey in charge, forgetting that he booked a 50th-anniversary party and a sweet-16 party in the same room on the same night. He also leaves the kids to handle a labor dispute in his absence.
Jake Fogelnest (@jakefogelnest, Squirt TV, The Fogelnest Files) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Stacey Carosi's Ivy League frat guy boyfriend Craig shows up unannounced at Malibu Sands, much to the surprise of everyone, especially Stacey's other boyfriend, Zack.
Emily Heller (@mremilyheller, Ice Thickeners, Barry) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where the Malibu Sands Beach Club employees must compete against customers in the Fourth of July festivites, including a Miss Liberty beauty pageant, during which Zack must face the task of judging both his ex-girlfriend and current crush.
Jake Weisman (Corporate, This Fool) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Zack wants to buy Mr. Carosi's car for super cheap, so he spits some lies about the gang being superior volleyball players who can win the match against North Beach for him.
Erin Mallory Long (@erinmallorylong, Best of Friends podcast) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where everybody gets a summer job at Malibu Sands Beach Club, and they all try to plan Zack's surprise birthday party while he's busy hating on Stacey Carosi.
Halloween! Dinosaur porn! Fred Schneider sings The Doors! How snakes work! Godzilla, Gojira, and more! w/ Jonah Ray, Matt Weinhold, April Richardson, Hannah Gansen and John Ennis.
Paul F. Tompkins (@pftompkins, MVP of every podcast) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where the gang try to make Zack get over his breakup with Kelly in about two days; they set him up on a round of blind dates, all of which (whom?) he takes to the same movie.
Erin Gibson (@gibblertron, Attitudes!) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Kelly gets a job at the Max and promptly dumps Zack for her manager, Jeff the college guy. Also, I do believe this is the first time we see the Zack Attack!
Guy Branum (@guybranum, Bros, Talk Show the Game Show) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where the gang join glee club, and whether or not they win a trip to Hawaii hinges on the ups and downs of Screech and Violet's relationship, as the entire performance at the All City Sing consists of her solo.
David Hornbuckle (@hornbizzle, Hornbuckle Records, my ex-husband) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Zack & Kelly and Slater & Jessie are fighting and thus not speaking to each other, and at the same time Mr. Belding is kicked out of his house by his wife, and therefore spends an uncomfortable amount of time hanging with the dudes.
Andy Wood (@andytwood, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Probably Science) and April Richardson watch the episode of Saved by the Bell where Mr. Belding's younger, cooler, long-haired brother comes to substitute at Bayside, promises the kids an exciting rafting trip, then bails on them immediately for a weekend with a hot stewardess.
