The episode where we share our recent investigation at Cambre House in Nauvoo, Illinois. This place is a haunted wedding venue, so we of course had to spend the night! Who knew that the history behind this place involves a utopian society that gives off culty vibes. We saved Sarah from joining yet another cult. Through our investigation, you'll meet Eglantine, Rusty Scissors, and exasperated spirits. We captured some creepy noises that are very unsettling when you're out in the woods alone, a male voice, and some EVPs - the gang's all here!www.thetipsyghost.comFind us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost.Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.comShow your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating—it really helps

In 1850, Adolphe Cambre and his family moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, as part of the Icarian community. The idea was to form a utopian society. However, he decided to leave that community, and in 1867, he built his family home. Four generations of the Cambre family lived in the home for over one hundred years. It was built on a limestone bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and has a mineral spring running underneath the property. It is like a paranormal trifecta. The Cambre House and Farm is now a wedding venue that is filled with activity even when no one is around. You can hear footsteps and doors open and close on their own. A young girl's spirit seems to reside in the house, and a woman's apparition has been seen watching over the weddings that now take place on its grounds. It is now a wedding venue. - Rebecca bought it after her grandparents passed. - When she first bought it, she did not know it was haunted. - She realized it could be haunted after she first spent the night there as an adult when she and her family heard footsteps. - Other phenomena occurred such as doors opening and closing and locking. - One door always locks her mom (but no one else) out - Her son also had a few weird experiences there and a repair man who doesn't even believe in this phenomena had weird experiences. - Augusta Paranormal, founded by her friend Chad Derry investigated the house - There was recorded EVP (electronic voice phenomena) and ITC (Instrumental Trans-Communication) - voices were heard and recorded. - At times though what people perceive as phenomena is explainable by normal means. - Rebecca investigated further into the history of the house and got some verification of what mediums had said ...and more --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/wtfjusthappened/support

Thrasher Family Farms, is a first generation farm with a passionate young owner with a love for Farming. We learn about the Farm purchase in 2016 and the converting of the old Dairy operation to a more modern Swine facility. We discuss his niche company/growth since that time and how Cambre's previous experience with Cargill/JBS helped prepare him. We discuss in depth about opportunities and challenges for small family farms , and how he is living his dream. We touch on some hot topics (Prop 12, and Better Tasting Pork), and Cambre ends with his final thoughts on what the Pork Industry needs to know. About our Guest Cambre has been involved with raising pigs since he was a young boy. Growing up on a small farm in Northeast Missouri, Cambre spent many hours helping in the large sow unit his dad managed nearby. Later, Cambre started his own small sow herd while in high school. After graduating, Cambre enrolled in College of the Ozarks where he worked on the school's hog farm to pay his tuition. In 2007, Cambre met his wife Chelsea who also worked at the college's hog farm. After graduating, they got married and Cambre began his career as a field representative for Cargill Pork where he was able to expand his experience in the pork industry. In 2017, God provided an opportunity for Cambre and Chelsea to buy a farm and start their own hog operation. Cambre and Chelsea currently have 350 sows on their farrow to wean farm in southwest Missouri. Selling pigs through a niche company has provided a marketing channel and allowed Cambre to enter the agriculture industry as a producer. They are grateful to be doing what they love and blessed to be raising their four kids on a farm.

Join Karaleigh in an interview with the amazing Rebecca Williamson. Rebecca tells the story of the 1800's era home her grandparents preserved that served as a childhood inspiration. When she lost her grandmother and husband within 6 months of each other as an adult, she bought the place on a whim and started a wedding venue. It has been an unforgettable adventure. Favorite takeaways: 1. Passion is so important. It light you up and gives you energy no matter what else is going on around you. If you can find that little spark of passion, it is so powerful. 2. You have to find something to light you up. You've got to find that passion inside you- it's so pertinent to who we are as people. 3. Finding a passion is one of the fastest ways to learn who you are again and be yourself again and feel purpose in your life again. 4. We don't always have that catalyst of being pushed into a situation where you have to reevaluate your life, but when you do it makes you into a better person, a stronger person. 5. You don't choose the path that you're put on, you don't get to choose all the bumps on your road, but you get to choose how you respond. That's just life, right? And then hopefully we can use our experiences to connect with other people who are also struggling in the same way and then that's how we can build communities and that's how we can help other people and bring more love to this world. 6. It reminds you that there is another side- there is another side to the tightrope you're walking. You're going to get to that other side. It exists. You can survive this. 7. This is always going to be part of me, but I've learned how to integrate it. It's not the first thing on my mind every day when I wake up, but it's more a part of myself that I'm comfortable with.
