There are vastly different emotions coming from either side of Sandeman Street after a big week in Scottish football. For the first time in a long time, the Twa Teams lads don't have defeats to talk about. Positive cup results for both Dundee United and Dundee before the Tangerines got back to winning ways in the league. The Dark Blues didn't enjoy their trip to McDiarmid Park quite as much but are there shoots of recovery? Next week is the second derby of the season and the boys predict which way it'll go - do you agree?

George is back from Dingwall empty-handed as Dundee twice surrendered a lead to lose to Ross County. His trip to Edinburgh wasn't much better as Dark Blues star Paul McMullan nets a contender for goal of the season - at the wrong end. And with referees continuing to be the subject of the spotlight is it time for Scottish football to implement VAR? It's all smiles in the Dark Blue side of the city, for once, as Dundee get a win at St Mirren. Across the city, Dundee United's seven game unbeaten run comes to an abrupt end at the hands of St Johnstone keeper Zander Clark. And ambitious Arbroath charge into third place as Ewan finally gets to talk about his favourite subject - Smokies & Wine. Tam Duthie is joined by the usual crew of Graeme Finnan, George Cran and Ewan Smith to talk through another packed week on the street.

Melanie Bainbridge and Harry Deluxe, who have decades of experience in the music industry — most recently in the band Mama Red and the Dark Blues — have watched the decimation of revenue streams for recording artists and decided to do something about it. They are creating a music streaming app called The Pack for unsigned, original local artists. "All we're doing is turning the business model of streaming on its head," Ms Bainbridge told business leaders at a startup forum "Instead of effectively benefiting the people at the top, it benefits the creator. So it gives them a revenue stream.” Listeners and businesses can subscribe to The Pack as patrons, with the money going straight into the pockets of artists. "There's no labels or middlemen, so we're actually cutting out a very big part of that conversation, and it's meaningful to artists because they'll get a much larger percentage of the streaming royalty," Ms Bainbridge said. Artists would receive 40 per cent of all revenue generated by The Pack, and the rest would go back into developing the business. They say it will promote local unsigned artists who are "invisible" on major streaming platforms, without the backing of record labels to support them The idea is for listeners to help curate playlists in the businesses they frequent. The app will initially be trialled around parts of Perth, with the aim of launching commercially in August next year. Jordan, who currently plays for Dundee Football Club in the Scottish Premiership, talks about his career to date and looks forward to the season ahead. The pair discuss his journey from coming through the ranks at Hearts when the club was going through a challenging period; making his debut at 16, scoring on his second appearance, giving away a penalty in the Edinburgh derby before moving to Middlesbrough on loan. Following a spell in England Mcghee went to Falkirk where he captained the side and had a very positive relationship with the Bairns supporters despite being relegated to League 1. In June 2019, McGhee signed a two-year deal with Dundee, who had been relegated to the Championship the previous season. Jordan became a key figure for the Dark Blues, impressing in a variety of different positions and would be voted by his teammates as Dundee's Player's Player of the Year at the end of the season. Manager James McPake then named him as the captain ahead of the new season which saw them promoted back to the Premiership. Derek and Jordan discuss the play-off games where Jordan netted 3 important goals, his relationship with teammates like Jason Cummings, Charlie Adam and what it's like to play for such a big club.

Derek crosses over the channel to chat to one of Scottish football's most loved characters - Ivo den Bieman. We hear about how his move to Scotland and Montrose came about, nights out in Aberdeen and winning promotion with the Gable Endies. He talks about his season at Dundee where he scored and played in that famous 4-3 win over Rangers and featured alongside the likes of Graham Rix, Kevin Ratcliffe, Morten Weighorst, Dusan Vrto and others. He tells us how the Dark Blues left him high and dry only for Dunfermline, another club where he's adored, to come calling. Scotland posted its first win at Twickenham since 1983 by beating error-strewn titleholder England 11-6 in a dominant performance that shook the Six Nations on the opening day Saturday.On the 150-year anniversary of the oldest international rugby fixture — also won by the Scots, in a 20-a-side match in Edinburgh — the Dark Blues outplayed their biggest rivals in every department, with the only surprise being the narrow margin of victory.Ultimately, a first-half try by winger Duhan van der Merwe proved the difference but the contrast between the teams couldn't have been starker in a one-sided match played in the rain in an empty stadium because of the pandemic.England barely got near the tryline as Scotland enjoyed 65% possession and 70% territory. It was only three missed goalkicks by Finn Russell and Stuart Hogg, as well as some desperate English defense, that kept the scoreline close.The roars of delight from Scotland's players when England winger Jonny May fumbled a kick deep in his own half for a knock-on four minutes from time told its own story. The game was up for Eddie Jones' side and it was another sloppy handling error that went with a total of 15 penalties conceded by England, nine of them coming in the first 25 minutes."It's amazing for us," said Scotland captain Stuart Hogg, clutching the Calcutta Cup. "We believed in each other and to a man deserved it."We got excited during the week because we knew we could put in a performance. If we got everything right, we stood a chance of winning."And that was clear by the half-hour mark, with the Scots having had more than treble the number of carries (52-15) and made almost triple the amount of meters gained.That they were only two points ahead at 8-6 must have been painful, then, but that dominance continued into the second half, with the boys in blue visibly slicker and sharper."We were not at the races today," Jones said. "I take responsibility. I didn't prepare the team well enough. We just had one of those days. We don't have many, but we had a bad day today."Perhaps Jones will rue selecting five players from Saracens, the English club that was demoted from the country's top division last season for breaching salary-cap regulations and hasn't played a single league game this season because of coronavirus restrictions.It meant the quintet's last competitive match was two months ago in the Autumn Nations Cup final against France, except for No. 8 Billy Vunipola who played in a cup game for Saracens last month."They got a fair bit of momentum off the back of a few penalties from us and they kept us out," said England captain Owen Farrell, one of the Saracens contingent.
