Before he started in the brewing industry Kevin Abbott was a wine steward. His time in restaurants helped form his idea behind food and beverage – something that exists to this day. He started as a homebrewer and then jumped into the deep end of the pool, starting as the head brewer for Funky Buddha in Florida back when they were launching into brewpub operations. He stayed there for nearly four years and then moved to Due South Brewing before becoming a Partner and Head Brewer at Barrel of Monks in 2015. Since then he's become the director of operations. Abbott oversees most aspects of the brewery including production, distribution and the tap room and this episode covers it all. We are back, and so is the Arsenal. We look at how the Gunners form is rolling along, as well as what happened in week 9 of the Premier League. This of course includes the almost-fight of José Mourinho and Chelsea's Maro Ianni. From there we look to the almost complete MLS Playoff picture, and the qualifying of the U.S. Women's National Team for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. An awesome listener from southern FL provided us with two fantastic beers. One from Due South Brewing, and the other from 26 Degrees Brewing. For those of you in our Premier League fantasy competition, these beers were provided by the manager of Krul Summer FC, who is currently sitting at the top of the league. Give a listen for our review, and thanks so much to our listener for introducing us to these brews. - Love the beer, cherish the game. It’s pumpkin beer month! So the fellas kick things off with Isle of MaGourdo by Due South Brewing. We welcome Robert Taylor from MMA2theMAX and Blake Stephens from The Loaded Joes MMA Podcast for analysis that way more in-depth than expected and Mike loses it. The fellas go on to talk about the MLB playoffs and the start of the NHL hockey season. In Upper Deck, the guys talk about Chris Dudley being Brett Kavanaugh’s enforcer, the worst payout ever for a bet, Baker Mayfield getting shot down, exploding eyeballs at the Ryder Cup, Nick Saban being awful, and Pennsylvania State Police breaking up tailgates in the most extreme way possible. Everyone throws at the Degenerate Dartboard of Doom to pay up on their terrible picks, and new punishments are levied.
