This is a story that will cost a cleaning supplier a lot of money. First of all, I hope you all know me by now. I am not vindictive. I did not have a bad experience with the company I'm going to mention. However, I chose to do my 3-stars out of 5 review to the world because it will illustrate a vital lesson on the lifetime value of a client. I purchased my Mosquito Carbon Lite vacuum cleaner from my friend Joshua Burnstein, owner of Sawgrass Cleaning Solutions, Boynton Beach, FL. Joshua is a authorized distributor for Mosquito, which he does as a side hustle. I now use him exclusively to take care of my vacuum needs. But I almost didn't and here's what happened. My Mosquito has a uniquely designed tapered hose to maximize power and flow for my 160 cfm motor! That's nerd talk, but it means my vacuum really sucks! All of my hoses start to wear down after 2 years. They tear between the ribs and I have to cut a piece off to keep it working. This particular hose has been cut a dozen times to the point where it's barely long enough to vacuum with. I put off ordering a new part from Josh as he told me the replacement part is $100 with shipping! When I could wait no longer, I did a Google search to see if I could get the part cheaper anywhere else. There were a few at $100 and one at $45, which ranked high on Google SEO. It seemed like a reputable supplier, Salamone Supplies out of Menomonee Falls, WI. I researched the company and found the part I needed on the website for a great price. I told Josh and he was highly suspicious as he knew the part wholesaled for $80 on the low side. He wished me good luck. I apologized for jumping ship as I had to try. I ordered the part. To the credit of the company, they contacted me via email and was kind and cordial in their replies. They received the order, but soon realized that they had the two parts mixed up on their website. The part I ordered for $45 had the part number and picture correct for the part I needed, but they had the wrong price listed. They emailed me to let me know of the mistake and asked if I'd like to receive the $45 incorrect part or the part I needed for their price of $90 + shipping. This Week on Next on the Tee, I'm joined by three incredible guests. In Part 1, I start with one of the game's all-time great instructors—Tom Patri. Not only is Tom a phenomenal teacher, he's also a fantastic player. Tom is sharpening his game for the Senior Florida Open, happening April 22–24 at Aberdeen Golf & Country Club in Boynton Beach, Florida. You'll hear how he dominated the course during his practice round for the qualifier, plus his thoughts on Rory McIlroy's win at The Players, J.J. Spaun's valiant effort and willingness to face the media after falling short, perhaps something Collin Morikawa could take a lesson from. Next up is a longtime friend from our Thursday Night Tailgate football show, former NFL defensive back Vencie Glenn. Vencie played for the Patriots, Chargers, Saints, Vikings, and Giants—and he's just as popular in golf circles as he was on the football field. I share one of my favorite stories about walking Augusta National with him and how he introduced me to Phil Knight and Tiger's mom. The golf world knows and loves this guy, and for good reason. We chat about former NFL players who excel at golf, and how Vencie honed his skills to become a ball hawk in the league, racking up 35 career interceptions. Please come back for Part 2 of this week's show featuring the Next on the Tee debut of another Top Instructor in our game, Taylor Crosby. Taylor is a disciple of Jim McLean and is now teaching at The Kingdom at Reynold Lake Oconee. He's fantastic! You're going to really enjoy his stories plus the playing lessons he shared. Thank you for pressing play on this week's show. I appreciate you!

This Purim holiday, we must not only focus on the miracle that G-d did for us in saving us from the genocidal plan of the Persian Empire 2,400 years ago. We must also focus on the unbelievable miracles that took place from day one of this war until this day, that has positioned israel in the strongest geo-political position since Biblical times. What a perfect topic to discuss with the Boynton Beach community as we begin the Jewish month of Adar, as we begin to internalize the happiness of the Purim celebration of our miraculous survival. As back then, so goes today...

Rabbi Ed Bernstein delivered the talk "Beyond Cleaning Our Room: Responsibilities and Opportunities in Honoring Our Parents As They Age" to Valley Beit Midrash on May 16, 2024. Special thanks to Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz and Alix Cramer of Valley Beit Midrash for allowing the rebroadcast of this talk on the NeshamaCast feed. ABOUT THE EVENT:The Fifth of the Ten Commandments is “Honor your father and mother.” It is one of the few commandments in the Torah that attaches a reward for its successful performance: “that your days may be long.” We might think that if we follow the command in our youth, clean our rooms and do other things that our parents ask, then we've checked that box. The reality is that honoring our parents is among the most difficult and grows in complexity as children—and their parents—age. Rabbi Bernstein explores Jewish perspectives on the responsibilities of adult children to their aging parents and the true rewards we gain in fulfilling this mitzvah.ABOUT THE SPEAKER:Rabbi Edward Bernstein is a Board Certified Chaplain and serves as Chaplain for Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida. He hosts NeshamaCast, a podcast exploring Jewish spiritual care, produced by Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains. He also hosts My Teacher Podcast. The Bad Girl, The Playa, and Dangerous Dave are joined this week by “The President” Phil Decesare to bring you a True Crime classic! Dalia Dippolito became a focal point of national attention due to her involvement in a high-profile case related to a murder-for-hire plot against her then-husband, Michael Dippolito, in 2009. The former Boynton Beach escort was caught in an intricate police sting operation after soliciting an undercover police officer, whom she believed was a hitman, to murder Michael. The case first came to light when Dalia's lover, Mohamed Shihadeh, informed the police that Dalia was looking to have her husband killed. Shihadeh subsequently became a confidential informant, setting the stage for a police sting operation to capture Dalia in the act. Dalia's case was featured on both COPS and 20/20 and covered by news media around the country. But, as always, the True Crime Troika are here to add our own special brand of humor and insight to this legendary case!

In August of 2009, Dalia Dippolito got up early one morning and went to the gym, leaving her husband, Mike at home as he was recovering from a surgery. While at the gym, she got a call from the local Boynton Beach police saying she needed to return home immediately because something terrible had happened. She was met with police cars everywhere and crime scene tape sectioning everything off. Dalia was told that someone entered their home and killed Mike as he slept. But all wasn't as it seemed, and a tale of murder for hire played out for everyone to watch on an episode of Cops that aired in September of 2011. Want access to our first 45 episodes? Grab em here!
