Dynamic Faith: The Power of the Mustard Seed is about establishing God's definition of faith. It's very possible that “Faith” is the most controversial topic throughout the pages of scripture. Why is that true? It's because the biggest and boldest promises are always associated “Faith.” Since that's true, this topic generates the strongest of feelings, both positively and negatively. At One City Church, we operate from the belief that the Bible is God's Word; therefore, it is true and without error. We can't pick and choose what verses we believe and keep versus what versus we doubt and delete. Since the verses on “Faith” are so prominent and important; it is essential for us to understand and apply them accurately. That's why this series is about moving from a man-centered to a God-centered perspective on “Faith.” When we read the scriptures from a man-centered perspective we misunderstand and misapply everything. We turn “Faith” into a formula and make it small and powerless. Obviously, that's the complete opposition of God's definition of “Faith.” Today's message is from Matthew 17:14-20. A father comes to the disciples asking them to heal his son. Even though the disciples have cast out demons and healed people previously, they weren't able to do it this time. All of us should be able to identify with ebbs and flows of our abiding relationship and thus our faith. How irresponsible would it be for faith to be formula? Faith is too important and too powerful to allow shortcuts. When it comes to increasing our faith, we must embrace the process of becoming a trustworthy steward and servant. This passage invites into another level of abiding and mountain moving faith by inviting us into a lifestyle of prayer and fasting.

Obviously, that's the complete opposition of God's definition of “Faith.” Today's message looks at the parable of the sower in Matthew 13. This passage is vitally important in understanding the quality of the soil. The seed is the Word of God and is obviously important, but it is the soil that determines whether the seed is received or rejected. In this message we'll look at seven important principles that we can learn from farmers in cultivating good soil. This is important for many reasons, but it vitally important in determining one's harvest. The best harvest a farmer could expect in Jesus' day was a 10-fold harvest, but Jesus promises that one can receive a 100-fold, 60-fold, or 30-fold harvest. Listen and apply the truths of this message to receive a greater harvest.
What if faith isn't about trying harder, but tuning in to what God is already saying? In this message, William unpacks the parable of the mustard seed to reveal that dynamic faith is a Kingdom seed meant to grow, expand, and redefine your life. Discover how to receive faith, steward it well, and become a living landmark of God's transforming presence.
Small and powerless is the complete opposition of God's definition of“Faith.” Today's message begins the process of replacingmisunderstanding with understanding, attending with abiding, andpowerless faith with powerful faith. This message is designed to lay the foundation that we will build on overthe next seven weeks. If there are incorrect interpretations of thesescriptures, then there must be correct interpretations. If there are wrongways to apply these scriptures, then there must be right ways to applythese scriptures. Take this journey with us and learn the secrets and powerof the mustard seed.
God wants to welcome us into His family, and that's the best invitation we could ever receive. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses what it means to have a new life through faith in Jesus Christ. He walks us through ten promises we inherit, like being God's friend, receiving righteousness, and being chosen by our Lord. He also shares about the importance of gratitude and knowing God's character. Our circumstances can be difficult, and evil touches each of our lives, but the Creator of Heaven and Earth tells us He has given us everything we need for life and godliness, and He will be faithful to provide. j316173@hotmail.com For professional management: jrpierc2@uncg.edu You teach classes on having a vision for your life and it struck both of us as we were talking recently that you don't hear this message about casting a vision for your life, often if ever in the Christian church. Why do you think that is? What are the consequences of this, I.e. how is this lack of direction from church messaging on vision affecting the way we “do” Church as well as the way we as believers live our lives outside the church? How might Christianity be different if this dynamic were to change? Is this Biblical? If not, what does the Bible say about how we should incorporate our faith, into our daily lives ? If a change is needed, what's the best way to affect that change?
What creates a dynamic faith? From Hebrews 11:6, Tim Russell powerfully communicates how to have a faith that responds to God's truth, even when we need to press through life's challenges.
Does God's power move through you, or does it remain static in you? In today's episode, Jeff explores Psalm 40 and the importance of having a dynamic faith instead of a static one. James - Part 5 - Dynamic Faith (James 2:14-26). Pastor Ron Laney, Pleasant Grove Church, Carthage, MS. www.PleasantGrove.info [Good News from The Grove]
Many people believe that faith is the absence of doubt or fear. Actually, faith is trust in the face of doubt and fear. In this message, Pastor Derek Holmes looks at the two discouraged disciples traveling to Emmaus when they met Jesus who called them to renew their faith in the promises of the Messiah.
Faith is not sedentary or static; it is dynamic. Faith creates, unveils, and increases. In this practical message, Ps. Jurgen unlocks the faith that we are heirs of through Abraham and teaches us how to make it work powerfully in our lives.

Dynamic Faith James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.— — —Watch/Listen here using our Subsplash WebShare Playerhttps://cbcponca.subspla.sh/pz3j2fvListen on archive.orghttps://archive.org/download/110523-am-facebook-stream/110523AM-FacebookStream.mp3

Everyday Believer Stuff 12 part study through The Book of James
The Bible tells us “faith without good deeds is useless” (James 2:20). We should not only be talk but action when it comes to our faith, and guest speaker Pastor Jonathan Laurie's reminding us of that in this Sunday episode. Notes James is stating that merely saying you have faith does not mean you have it. The sin of commission is knowing what is wrong and doing it anyway. The sin of omission is knowing what is right and not doing it. 1. Dead Faith. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16 We are saved by grace through faith, not works. But saving faith will have works. 2. Demonic Faith. A faith that only stirs our hearts, stimulates our intellect, and does not bring forth a transformed life does not bear spiritual fruit—it is not a true faith. 3. Dynamic Faith. Dynamic saving faith, to start with, is based on the Word of God. “The whole person plays a part in true saving faith. The mind understands the truth; the heart desires the truth; and the will acts upon the truth. The men and women of faith named in Hebrews 11 were people of action: God spoke, and they obeyed.” —Warren Wiersbe “Of what value is the grace I profess to receive if it does not dramatically change the way that I live. If it does not change the way that I live, it will never change my eternal destiny.” —C. H. Spurgeon Scripture Referenced Ephesians 2:8–10 (ESV) Matthew 7:18–23 (ESV) Galatians 5:22–23 (ESV) James 2:18–20 (ESV) Revelation 12:12 (ESV) Romans 10:17 (ESV) --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org. Evolution is defined as the gradual changing of something from a simpler form to a more complex one. And what we've noticed in our spiritual lives is that faith, like all of life is evolving. How we experience the Divine in our lives, what that means to us…our understanding and experience of these things changes over the course of our lives. In this episode, we talk about the importance of feeling like it's okay to ask our questions. We notice that change can feel disorienting and even difficult, but at the same time, change also brings more depth and richness to our connections and experiences. Join us as we explore these ideas together!
