Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American fantasy drama television series developed by Albert Kim for Netflix. It is a live-action adaptation of the animated television series of the same name created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko for Nickelodeon. The series features an ensemble cast including Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Ken Leung, and Daniel Dae Kim. The series is set in a fictional world where human civilization is divided into four nations based on the four classical elements: the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. In each nation, some people known as "benders" can telekinetically manipulate one of the four elements. The story follows the journey of twelve-year-old Aang, the last survivor of the Air Nomads and the next "Avatar" who can master all four elements. The series was first announced in September 2018, with DiMartino and Konietzko attached as both executive producers and showrunners. However, in June 2020, the pair departed the series over creative differences. In August 2021, Kim was officially announced as a writer, executive producer and showrunner. It was released on Netflix on February 22, 2024.[3][4] It garnered mixed reception from critics, with praise for the visuals and production design but criticism for the writing. The series is set in a war-torn world inspired by various Asian and Indigenous cultures where certain people can "bend" one of the four classical elements—water, earth, fire or air. Aang, the "Avatar" and the last living Airbender, is the bridge between the mortal and spirit worlds, and the only one capable of bending all four of the elements instead of just one. The Avatar maintains the balance of the world and nature to bring peace, and Aang is now faced with the responsibility of ending the ambitions of the militaristic Fire Nation to conquer the world. With his new companions Katara and Sokka, Aang sets out to master the four elements while pursued by Zuko, the exiled crown prince of the Fire Nation, who seeks to regain his honor by capturing him.[5] Premise[edit]
In this episode, we delve into the heart-pounding action and captivating character development of episodes 3 and 4. Join us as we analyze the intricate storytelling, explore the nuances of bending, and uncover the hidden depths of this beloved world.

Agartha is a legendary kingdom claimed to exist in the Earth's core and is related to the “Hollow Earth theory”. - There are many accounts of the legend of Agartha throughout history. It has been noted by explorers, occultists, psychic communication, visitors from the inner Earth, Hitler/Third Reich, a German U-boat commander, ancient beliefs from India, people channeling superconscious knowledge, and Admiral Bird. - The inhabitants of Agartha are said to have scientific knowledge and expertise far beyond that of the people who live on the surface of the planet. - Apparently, some people have constructed maps and identified passageways to Agartha. Some of these alleged passageways include Antarctica, Mt. Epomeo, the Pyramid of Giza, the Dero Caves, the North and South Poles, Matto Grosso, Iguazu Falls, and the Kentucky Mammoth Cave. - What say you?

Air. Water. Earth. Fire. Avatar Aang and friends have come together to end the Hundred Year War and stop Fire Lord Ozai's campaign to impose Fire Nation rule on the Four Nations. With the Air Nomads effectively wiped out, Avatar Aang and crew decide to build a new place in the world where all are welcome to cooperate and work toward a future where everyone comes together for a greater cause. They choose the coastal village of Cranefish Town on the western shores of the Earth Kingdom to eventually become what will be known as Republic City. In our first episode of our short Avatar: Legends series, Rene runs the DMs through Character Creation and we work together to come up with some ideas about what kind of story we want to tell in the world of Avatar. A crew comes together, though not all for the same reasons, and discovers a menacing secret threatening the very foundation of Republic City. Will they be able to bring balance to the city, or will they wind up on the wrong side of some dangerous people? Content Warning: Mafia stereotyping, Swamp Ass, A War in Ba Sing Se? Book Four: Balance begins as we move into the final season of The Legend of Korra. Time jumps in fiction tend to be something of a mixed bag, but as our story picks up three years after the end of Book Three it quickly becomes apparent the device works like a charm here, in what Arlo dubs the strongest start to any season in the entire Avatar Universe. In chapter 401, “After All These Years,” Korra is missing and former Zaofu Captain of the Guard Kuvira has become “The Great Uniter,” using military force to bring order to the chaos in the Earth Kingdom in the wake of the Queen's death. Chapter 402, “Korra Alone” answers where exactly the Avatar has disappeared to, and why. (Hint: it involved Nega-Korra.) And finally it's Toph love in chapter 403, “The Coronation” as the O.B. Original Beifong returns to go all Yoda on Korra's ass. Paul introduces the podcast's version of Cousin Oliver. He and Eric both wax rhapsodic about Star Wars Rebels. And Arlo compares Mako to Vin Diesel. Not in a good way. (IS there a good way?) Next: the next three chapters of Book Four; 404, “The Calling,” 405, “Enemy at the Gates,” and 406, “The Battle of Zaofu.” The Breakdown Intro / Banter (00:00 - 15:20) Main Topic (15:20 - 1:42:53) Outro / Next (1:42:53 - 1:46:23)
