Al ser consultado por un posible acuerdo de libre comercio con Argentina, Donald Trump respondió: "Consideraré lo que sea y Argentina… Creo que él es genial, por cierto. Creo que es un gran lider. Miramos cosas, estamos mirando a Reino Unido con cosas, no tienen que ser tarifas, pero las tarifas son fáciles, rápidas, son eficientes y traen justicia”. El enviado especial del Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos para América Latina, Mauricio Claver-Carone, declaró ante la consulta por un posible acuerdo de Libre Comercio entre Argentina y Estados Unidos: "Yo creo que el presidente Trump ha sido muy claro en el sentido de que no estamos buscando nuevos tratados de libre comercio. Lo que tenemos son tratados de comercio justos y equitativos. Y en ese sentido, obviamente, quisiéramos trabajar con Argentina, creo que hay una oportunidad de trabajar con Argentina. Yo creo que algún tipo de acuerdo que pueda proporcionar más inversiones, oportunidades. Pero los acuerdos de libre comercio, como se conocían en los años noventas, ya esa etapa en nuestra historia terminó. ¿Entonces qué sería, un acuerdo de promoción de inversiones? Yo creo que es mucho más factible un acuerdo de promoción de inversiones que un acuerdo de libre comercio”.Javier Milei se refirió a la nota en el New York Times: “Un problema de terceros con terceros no es un problema mío. No es un problema mío ni de mis funcionarios. O sea, es un problema de terceros con terceros. En el caso de que hubiera sucedido. Exactamente. De hecho, en la propia nota son todos condicionales, o sea, se cuidan bien de no... porque no dejan de ser chimentos de peluquería”.Facundo Manes detalló sobre las amenazas que recibió de Santiago Caputo: “Acá lo que pasó es que el hombre más poderoso de la Argentina me amenazó y todo el mundo sabe que es el hombre más poderoso que maneja los servicios de inteligencia, que en Argentina los servicios de inteligencia siempre se usaron para perseguir a los argentinos, nunca para predecir cómo desarrollarnos, para apagar periodistas, para perseguir a opositores, para inventar causas judiciales, esos servicios de inteligencia los maneja Caputo, maneja la AFIP que te persigue, pero te pueden inventar cualquier cosa, maneja los trolls con plata del estado, o sea la gente que vino a combatir la casta usa la plata de la política o del estado para amedrentar a opositores y entonces todo el país lo sabe a eso, parece más poderoso que Milei, Caputo. Y esa persona me amenazó, fue evidente en estas filmaciones”. El influencer libertario Fran Fijap acusó al Diputado Manes de mentir sobre lo ocurrido en el cruce con Santiago Caputo: “Acá el problema es Manes, o sea, Manes fue el violento, Manes es el que estuvo en todo momento faltándole el respeto al presidente, y no fue Caputo, y es más, vuelvo a repetir, o sea, la persona que estaba ahí esperando era Manes, Esteban, es un mentiroso, salieron todos los videos, salió a decir que primero que le pegó Caputo, después que algo salió a decir en Twitter, y lo último salió a decir que le pegué yo, es mentira, es un mentiroso”. Si queremos ser un país serio, también debemos llevar a cabo... Léela, Manes, te va a hacer bien. Supuestamente vos entendés cómo funciona el cerebro y parece que no aprendiste nada. Léela bien. Yo venía con la mochila solo y me viene el enfurecido y me dice, “ahora me vas a escuchar ahora me vas a escuchar y me vas a conocer ahora”, me dice y viene alguien que viene con él que viene con él y me pega dos piñas en el pecho. Y estaba una periodista de Clarín al lado mío. Pero bajaron de la escalera buscarme a mí y si a un diputado de la nación le pasa esto en la Cámara de Diputados, qué le va a pasar a un periodista honesto que quiere criticar a un gobierno, como en cualquier democracia, qué le va a pasar a un concejal, a un diputado. Voy a hacer todo lo que sea necesario porque si le pasa a un diputado de la nación en la cámara de diputados esto es un vandalismo. Milei nos está llevando a un país bananero”. Javier Milei  declaró sobre Manes: “Me sorprende que le den tanta entidad a una cosa tan, tan pero tan marginal. Manes ha mentido de manera deliberada. Dice que le pegaron dos trompadas, o sea, y son dos palmaditas en el pecho. Verdaderamente me parece que hacer un escándalo por eso, pero tampoco me sorprende”.Durante su discurso en la Apertura de sesiones del Congreso,Milei afirmó sobre Clarín: “Entonces es muy simple explicar por qué desde la salida de la convertibilidad el precio del dólar se multiplicó por 1.200 veces. En primer lugar por la estafa descomunal de la pesificación asimétrica, lo cual implicó que la política se robó 14.000 millones de dólares que respaldaban la base en el 2001 y que a dinero de hoy ajustado por la inflación americana son 30.000 millones de dólares. El presidente Javier Milei abrió por segunda vez el periodo ordinario de sesiones en el Congreso. Pero la noticia no fueron sus anuncios. Todo el protagonismo se lo llevó su asesor estrella Santiago Caputo, que amenazó al diputado radical Facundo Manes al finalizar la sesión. Rápidamente, las imágenes de Caputo increpando a Manes se viralizaron. Milei termina una semana muy controvertida. Nombró a dos jueces de la Corte Suprema de Justicia por decreto. Hasta ahora uno solo asumió, el Dr. Manuel García Mansilla que había dicho que no juraría si era nombrado por decreto. Por su parte, el controvertido juez Ariel Lijo espera que la Corte le conceda una licencia especial para convertirse en “cortesano” en comisión.Más allá de los tecnicismos con que muchos disfrazan la decisión presidencial, lo cierto es que ambos nombramientos son inconstitucionales. En el Congreso, Milei mantuvo su contiendo con el gobernador Axel Kicillof, anunció la reforma del Código Penal y un incremento de todas las penas. On January 12, 1983, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department received a call from a frantic driver who reported they'd just witnessed a shooting on the side of the side of the road in Fulton, California and the shooters had fled the scene a pickup truck. Deputies quickly located the truck and were led on a forty-five minute high-speed chase through Sonoma and Napa counties before finally being apprehended and identified as Michael and Suzan Carson.The Carsons were held on a charge of murdering the truck's original owner, Jon Charles Hellyar, but they refused to say a word to police. In time, however, Michael and Suzan Carson began to talk and eventually held a press conference during which they revealed a great deal about themselves and even went so far as to make ambiguous confessions to other recent murders in Northern California. In the months that followed their arrest, Michael and Suzan Carson reveled in their notoriety and the media attention their statements captured. El mundo clásico es una patria sentimental en la que nos identificamos muchos. Un antídoto contra la soledad, porque siempre tendremos de nuestro lado a Eneas, a César cruzando el Rubicón, a los dioses Manes iluminando los caminos de nuestro hogar.Hoy la gente, como hace veinte años, acude de nuevo al cine para ver una de romanos. El diputado Julio Moreno Ovalle aclaró sobre el asado en Olivos: “Pagué en efectivo, no tuve problema. Yo pagué en efectivo, que se arreglen”. Michael Manes is the director and co-owner of Blue Spiral 1 Gallery (Asheville, NC) - one of the Southeast's most established galleries of contemporary fine art and craft. Michael earned his BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design and started his career in Ohio at the Columbus Museum of Art, moving on to the exhibitions departments at the Akron Art Museum and the Cleveland Museum of Art. Before turning back to curating, he was artist-in-residence at a private school in Cleveland, teaching grades K-5. After moving to Asheville, Manes became involved with the Asheville Area Arts Council (former Vice Chair and currently on the Advisory Board and serves as a chair of The Arts Coalition), the Center for Craft, and Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center where he currently is co-vice-chair. Manes is a graduate of Leadership Asheville and currently facilitates the Downtown Asheville Arts District (DAAD).
