Text: Prov 16:5-7 ESV 8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice. 9 The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps. 10 An oracle is on the lips of a king; his mouth does not sin in judgment. -Prov 16:8-10 ESV BETTER IS A LITTLE WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS All believers have access to great spiritual wealth (Matthew 5:3, 5). Paul declares, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich." [2 Cor 8:9] A believer has no guarantee of great material wealth. However, God promised there needs would be supplied. (John 16:33; Mat 6:19; 8:20). The believers' spiritual riches include salvation, peace with God, assurance of heaven, fellowship with God, assurance of His abiding presence, joy, and purposeful living (1 Tim 6:6). A person may be financially affluent, but if he does not belong to God, he is spiritually impoverished, even bankrupt. Verse 9 is similar to Prov 16:1, that is, “The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.” A person can plan out every aspect of his life. Nevertheless, God alone ultimately decides what will happen. Writers such as Paul (Rom 9:20–21) and James (Jas 4:13–15) reinforce this idea. Nothing we intend can override God's will (Psa 33:10; Job 42:2). This does not mean planning is wrong—but what we plan needs to be prepared in a spirit of humility and obedience. If a person seeks God's will and walks by the Spirit in the light of God's Word, the Lord will approve and guide his steps. He is to "walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which he has been called" (Eph 4:1), walk not "as [unbelievers] do, in the futility of their minds" (Eph 4:17), "walk in love" (Eph5:2), "walk as children of light" (Eph 5:8), and wisely (Eph 5:15). This is the result if he learns to "walk by the Spirit."[ Gal 5:16] An oracle is setting an expected standard set by a king. A king acting as he should does not sin through his decrees or judgments. A king was considered one of God's representatives on earth. Kings of Israel were initiated into office by the anointing of oil. As such, when he spoke, he was morally obligated to speak truthfully. When he offered judgment—a ruling, a decree, or some other decision (1 Kings 3:28)—he was expected to so righteously, and not in sin. ------------------------- Visit and FOLLOW Gospel Light Filipino on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram

Eph5:25-32 The Mystery of God Christ and the Church
Though the bride seems to be the star of many weddings, the real hero is GOD HIMSELF. He's the one who creates something on that day that only He can create: a marriage. Something is called to existence that did not exist one hour before. He is the main actor. The bride, groom, pastor, music, beauty and pageantry are nothing without HIM. He joins. He creates a marriage. We HOLD FAST because God HOLDS FAST first. He's got His big God hand wrapped around a husband and wife. To ask Him to undo it is almost like asking Him to do something un-God-like. We hold what God HOLDS FAST.Husbands: understand what God has done, so you can better understand what you must do: HOLD FAST.Bewithme.us@gmail.com or your preferred Podcast provider to subscribe for tomorrow if God gives another day.
If you are like me, you took pretty good care of yourself yesterday. I ate when I was hungry. I put a sweater on when I was chilly. I slept when I was tired. I loved myself all day long. Husbands, this is exactly how Paul charges you to love your wives. At least, this is how he starts his high call.He dials it up even higher by pushing Christ's relationship with the Church into the marriage relationship. He basically says, "See how much I think of, care for, am patient with, and am sacrificial toward the Church? That is how much I want you husbands to love your wives. It is MORE than even you love yourselves. It is HOW MUCH I LOVE THE CHURCH." Please like and share and post this blog/podcast. Husbands have a wonderful job. (love your wives) Husbands have a wonderfully hard job. The standard to which they are called is the highest in history: loving like Christ loved the church...and gave Himself up for her...so that husbands might present their wives splendiferously when this is all over.It is the highest of calls. Submission is the voluntary, relational attaching of myself under a designated person and under God. It is difficult. It is universal. It is often misunderstood. It is done in the sight of God and it is done primarily to God Himself. This puts the attaching to imperfect people into some perspective and priority.Wives submit to your husbands...this will never work if perfect husbands are requiredAS TO THE LORD...this will always work perfectly.Submission is a beautiful thing as it demonstrates an imperishable, internal, adornment of a position under God. It is the posture before Him that is demonstrated in the external words, attitudes and behavior before the him of one's husband. bewithme.us or bewithme.us@gmail.com to keep walking another step tomorrow. I appreciate your bravery in listening.
Submission is the universal, voluntary attaching myself in relationship under designated people...It will NEVER WORK unless you finish the concept because people, as you know are imperfect and flawed. So let's try again:Submission is the universal, voluntary attaching myself in relationship under designated people AND THE LORD. There we go. Much better. My dear mother was accurately told that she had 42 days left to live. It changed everything. It changed her relationship with PEOPLE. They became more importantIt changed her relationship with GOD. He became more presentIt changed her relationship with STUFF. It became more perishableIt changed her relationship with WORDS. They became more preciousSimilarly, Paul charges the Ephesians to make the best use of time, just like my mother did. Listen 7 minutes to her wonderful story. We're supposed to be discerning what is pleasing to the Lord. IMHO this is the easy part of the charge. The hard part is to be even asking the question in the first place. The answers are easy. The looking is hard. The discernment is not beyond our reach, as long as we are asking the question, "is this pleasing to the Lord?" So, in this Christian walk, we should "WALK LOOKINGLY." PUT our spiritual heads on a swivel. Be aware. Be asking constantly: does this please the Lord. If we do, I think the answers are relatively easy. If we WALK LOOKINGLY, the discernment follows easily. Bewithme.us Pandora, iHeartRadio, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Spotify, iVoox all carry the daily 7 minute podcast. Have you shared yet? Paul pulls no punches as he addresses healthy sexuality with the Ephesian believers. God loves sex. He invented it. He knows you have a sexual-engine. He wants you to have a robust sexual life. He has made a place for its' fruition: marriage. He's made a walled garden of delight to express and to protect this wonderful gift.Paul wants to protect and promote this healthy sexual living. Today's question is how close to the line of transgression should I walk? Because He wants the best for us in this area, the answer is far, far back. Don't even JOKE about it, much less step close to the line of transgression. If you have done perfectly with your sexuality up to this day of your life, you don't have to listen 7 minutes. For the rest of us, we probably should listen to Paul. Subscribe to bewithme.us for more tomorrow. Apple Podcasts, etc.

How do we redeem the time? The key to understanding how to do that is by understanding what it means when Paul says, "the days are evil." This sermon preached at Bethel Grace Baptist Church in Bellflower, CA, takes a convicting and encouraging look at Eph5:11-21.
Eph5:15-21; 2Ti2:20-21 Be Filled With the Spirit
"Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirement of God's law. This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. WAKE UP, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don't participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. And don't let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires." RMS 13.10-14 "It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, "AWAKE, O sleeper, rise up from the dead and CHRIST will give you light." EPH5.12-14 NOW is the time to WAKE UP! PRAY. PAY ATTENTION. PREPARE. PROTECT. PROCLAIM. PASS IT ON. PERSEVERE. PERSIST. PRAY AGAIN. Check us out at endtimes.chat

Eph5:8-14 I Am a Child of Light
In the first chapter of Malcolm Gladwell's book Blink! he talks about the concept of “thin-slicing”. Basically, it is the idea that you can make an accurate judgment about something after seeing a very “thin slice” of the overall picture. For instance, psychologist John Gottman can watch a 15 minute clip of a married couple having a disagreement, and with 95% accuracy, he can determine whether the couple will still be together in 15 years. Another example he gives is how we make first impressions. Hollywood producer Brian Grazer cast Tom Hanks in the movie Splash and Apollo 13—two radically different movies, because of Hank's “likability”. When no one could imagine Tom Hanks playing an astronaut Grazer said, “Well, I didn't know whether Tom Hanks was an astronaut. But I saw this as a movie about a spacecraft in jeopardy. And who does the world want to get back the most? Who does America want to save? Tom Hanks. We don't want to see him die. We like him too much.” What are your first impressions of the Apostle Paul? Do you think he would have been easy to get along with? Was he authoritative, demanding, and always serious? In this passage we get an authentic glimpse of Paul that will either affirm or correct your first impression of him. We now come to the occasion for the letter. Paul plans to send Timothy so he can receive an update from the Philippians and he is sending their messenger Epaphroditus back to them. The passage doesn't contain any theological arguments, but it is significant because it shows us how Paul applied the gospel in the context of his closest companions and ministry partners. What we find are three model servants worthy of emulating. We tend to develop relationships only with those who further our own interests. And because we are only concerned about ourselves, we rarely speak encouragingly about others. Paul shows us that we ought to Honor those who humbly and sacrificially serve Christ with affirmation and commendation. Read https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Php2.19-30 (Philippians 2:19-30). I. A Servant Who Commends OthersPaul speaks well of others. He says something encouraging about Timothy and Epaphroditus. These men were living in a manner “worthy of the gospel of Christ” (https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Php1.27 (Phil 1:27)). They were examples of humility; men who “count others more significant than [themselves]” (https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Php2.3 (Phil 2:3)). They embodied the attitude Paul exhorted the Philippians to have. After considering the example of Jesus Christ (https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Php2.5-11 (Phil 2:5-11)), he briefly discusses his own willingness to be “poured out as a drink offering,” (https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Php2.17 (Phil 2:17)). And now he commends Timothy and Epaphroditus. Essentially, he encourages the Philippians to imitate these men. Why doesn't Paul encourage them to imitate Christ? In https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Eph5.1 (Ephesians 5:1) Paul writes, “Be imitators of God, as beloved children.” We get that. It sounds less threatening to our legalism detectors. We hear “imitate God,” and we respond, “Right, that's impossible. You might as well tell me to jump over the Grand Canyon.” But, because we find it impossible, we are less offended because now we can apply grace. However, in https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Php3.17 (Philippians 3:17) Paul says, “Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us” (cf. https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.1Co4.16 (1 Cor 4:16) “I urge you, then, be imitators of me.”; https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.1Co11.1 (1 Cor 11:1) “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”; https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.1Th1.6 (1 Thes 1:6) “And you became imitators of us and of the Lord.” The goal is to imitate Christ—perfect obedience. Think that's impossible?...
Marriage begins with a promise between a man and a woman to honor and cleave to each other for life. EPH5:31-33“ For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Doctrine: Christ's church is worthy of our utmost love Q: Why should I love the church fervently? I should love her fervently because: I. She is Christ's beloved bride Eph5:23-27 II. She is Christ's baptized body 1Cor12:12-13 III. She is Christ's beautiful building Mat 16:18

Warum geschieht dann so wenig? Die Antwort von Pastor Diekmann ist: „Jesus sagt, dass wir unser Licht leuchten lassen sollen.“ Wie, warum und was dafür nötig ist, darum geht es in dieser Predigt.
