In this inspiring video, we explore the story of Gideon from the Bible, focusing on the importance of faith and courage. The speaker shares the story of Frank Garlock's song 'I Want to Be Faithful' and how it resonates with their desire to live a faithful life. The episode interprets Hebrews 11, celebrating heroes of faith, and dives into the story of Gideon from Judges 6:36-40. Gideon needed a sign from God to ensure he was the chosen one to lead Israel against the Midianites. Despite his fears, Gideon's faith in God's signs gave him the strength to rise up. The speaker emphasizes how faith can help us through tough times, motivate us, and lead us to victory. The video ends with a heartfelt prayer asking for increased faith and protection. 10 Things We Can Learn from Joseph's Preparation • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give In the story of Joseph, we see a man who faced incredible challenges and yet emerged victorious because of his unwavering faith in God and his preparation for what was to come. As we look at Joseph's life, we can glean valuable lessons that are highly relevant to our current times. Here are ten things we can learn from Joseph's preparation and how we can apply them to our lives today. 1. Be Faithful in Small Things Genesis 39:4 "So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority." 2. Maintain Integrity, Even in Adversity Genesis 39:9 "There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" 3. Trust God's Timing Genesis 41:14 "Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh. 4. Use Your Gifts to Serve Others Genesis 41:16 "So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, 'It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.'" 5. Plan for the Future with Wisdom Genesis 41:34-36 "Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities." 6. Forgive and Let Go of Bitterness Genesis 50:20 "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." 7. Recognize God's Sovereignty in Every Situation Genesis 45:8 "So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt." 8. Stay Humble in Success Genesis 41:16 "So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, 'It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.'" 9. Be a Source of Blessing to Others Genesis 47:12 "Then Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all his father's household with bread, according to the number in their families." 10. Remember God's Faithfulness Genesis 50:24 "And Joseph said to his brethren, 'I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.'"

Revelation 2:8-11 contains a message from Jesus Christ to people who are suffering. Jesus acknowledges the suffering, poverty, and persecution the church faces but reassures them that they are spiritually rich. Jesus gives us two instructions: 1. Do Not Fear and 2. Be Faithful. Then Jesus gives us two reasons to have hope in the midst of suffering: 1. Jesus promises the crown of life to those who are faithful and 2. Jesus reassures them that those who overcome will not be hurt by the second death. Join us at cefc.church.

Healthy churches never quit fighting for the faith. 1. Flee. “But as for you, O man of God, flee these things.” — 1 Timothy 6:11a 2. Pursue “Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.” — 1 Timothy 6:11b Separation without consecration leads to isolation. 3. Fight “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” — 1 Timothy 6:12 “The laborers held a tool in one hand and their spear in the other.” — Nehemiah 4:17 4. Be Faithful. “I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.” — 1 Timothy 6:13-16 “Those who endure to the end will be saved.” — Matthew 24:13 “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you eternal life.” — Revelation 2:10 “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” — James 1:12 “If we endure, we will also reign with Him.” — 2 Timothy 2:12 Persevering to the end is evidence of salvation. “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.” — 1 John 2:19 The faithful live in awe and wonder of God's greatness. “…which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.” — 1 Timothy 6:15-16
Joshua secretly sent two spies into Canaan. He didn't know it but God sent them for a more important reason than recon. This podcast is packed full of HOPE for your future. So, you can finally BELIEVE in your future, more than you believe in your past. Do not let your life be defined by your past. Choose to believe in a bright future.4 Strategies to Silence Fear of Your Future[4:30] 1. Be Faithful in the Midst of Uncertainty. Listen to the example of Joseph in the story of Jesus. Imagine that God is installing a new operating system in your life! You're version 2.0."I'm going to be faithful to my assignment even when it's messy, and watch God deliver a miracle." [6:35] 2. Know that God is With You. Practice the gospel of with. Christmas is the reminder that God came to earth as Emmanuel to be WITH US. Inspiration from Steven Curtis Chapman's realization on the meaning of God WITH US after the loss of his daughter. "The God of the universe made himself betrayable, fragile, even killable..." [8:37] 3. BELIEVE in the Miracle of Christmas. The birth of Jesus is the beginning of God's rescue plan! "Christmas reminds us that we need him...Grace is not something you earn, Grace is a person you receive."[12:40] 4. Write a letter to your current self from your future self. Imagine yourself 10 years from now. Write a letter to you now. Tell yourself how thankful you are for the changes you made in your life now to get you where you will be 10 years from now! Fr. Mike reminds us that God keeps his promises, even if it takes a little longer than we thought. Just like the people of Israel received everything the Lord had promised them, we too will receive everything the Lord has promised us, even in the midst of hardship and temptation.
